Expensive auto repair. High pressure sales is the name of the game here, unfortunately good quality auto repair is not. Buddy of mine got an oil change and they didnt actually put new oil in it. Almost killed his engine.Theyve tried to upsell me heavy here.

Store is clean, products arranged so you can get to it. For the most part decent customer service. Product is a little pricey and can take a bit to get checked out.

They recommended the wrong filter for my shop vac. I bought it a regular one as a spare and a HEPA one for hazardous messes. So, I didnt open one of the filter boxes to use it until a few weeks after purchase. It didnt fit. Despite their inaccurate recommendation, they wouldnt accept a return because it had been more than 30 days. So now Im stuck with over $50 in useless shop vac filters. Dont take the tool departments word for it.

I purchased an appliance recently from Sears in Bangor. The people who I worked with in store were great! The appliance was suppose to be delivered from the Bangor warehouse on March 13th, two weeks after I purchased it. I run an at home business and needed it sooner than that, but that was the only slot available. I received a courtesy call the night before to tell me that the delivery will be delayed. I figured as much because of the storm. I rescheduled for a later date of March 21st. I recieved a call from the warehouse on March 20th stating that I would need to get a permit for the truck to come and deliver my purchase for the scheduled day. Of course when they called the town office had already closed. That would mean for me to go to my town office and hope that they would have enough time to issue this permit before they came to deliver my product in a two hour slot they provided. They then told me that I would have to wait for them at the point where the road was accessible for them to come and take the permit from me to access the road. After calling the town office, they explained the rules of bigger trucks this time of year. Because the roads are a mix of Maine dot and local its hard to issue a permit, so in those cases most warehouses should have smaller trucks to access the customer in these situations. The Sears warehouse in Bangor are NOT equipped with the smaller trucks, therefore they are not allowed to bring purchases in areas that are posted, no matter if its weeks late ot not! I was informed by the gentleman at the warehouse that most people (Im assuming customers) know that when its posted no deliverys can be made in that area..hmmm I didnt know that that was the duty of the customer! You would think that in the state of Maine, Sears would have plans in place for these situations when they arise! But as he said to me, my hands are tied, theres nothing we can do....Supposively my order will be coming tomorrow morning. Lets hope theres not a change in temperature in the next 24 hours.
