I order from here all. the time, I love the food, the people are nice, the coffee is good. The time it takes you to get a coffee is absolutely ridiculous however. I OFTEN order online and when I get there the food is ready and then they start making your coffee, but not till you get there. And at first that sounds nice like, oh ok in a couple minutes Ill have my fresh coffee, but no. Expect to sit there or stand, for another 10-20 minutes. Like today, I waited over 20 minutes for a coffee I had ordered an hour prior, also somehow it was.cold?
I hadnt been able to get the app to work whenever I was there and had given up ordering breakfast. Today the beautiful human at the window assisted me by taking my order and processing my payment. What I received to eat and drink did not disappoint. It was so fresh and delicious!
Super tasty breakfast place! Especially loved the eggplant and turkey sausage sando.
The breakfast sandwiches at Ground & Griddle are phenomenal. I love the addition of avocado and arugula on the Insane Jane elevated the traditional bacon egg and cheese sandwich. They even add a delicious sauce on the sandwich to give it that pop. I love this place and will return to try the many other dishes they have.
It was raining today and there is no way to let them know u are here to pick up your order except waiting in line outside. Also a system in which you order ahead, get given a time to show up(25 mins after) and still have to wait for them at that timet o make your coffee is just bonkers.
I had a bit of sticker shock when I got breakfast here, until I tried the food and it was beyond expectations. It is worth every penny...save them and treat yourself to breakfast here; you won’t regret it. From quality ingredients to exceptional service, this place deserves your support.
Extremely slow service. Staff was very nice, and food good, but it took 25 mins to get a coffee order (which was missing something) and 40 minutes to get 2 sandwiches.
Staff is always timely even when they have a full house. Definitely worth going back to. Prices are appropriate for the quality. Feeling here is similar to a cafe in San Jose I liked.
I love this place. One of my favorite spots for a breakfast treat. They make excellent coffee and breakfast snacks. I love the Insane Jane.
Food is excellent! Ordering online worked seamlessly. Friendly and delicious!
High quality coffee and super delicious food. They make amazing sandwiches with egg and I also very much liked their French toast. The sitting place around this place is also good if you want to sit in open air or even inside the building. Totally recommend it.
The French toast and breakfast burrito were HORRIBLE. Literally so greasy.Don’t go.
Woke up this morning stared at my coffee press and I couldn’t do it. This place has the best quality coffee varieties around. Very well made drinks.
A lot of outdoor seating but at a safe distance. Coffee and food was excellent!
You have to order online and wait, only to then wait in line til you get to the counter where you then tell them youre there, for them to then tell you to wait while you make it. Dont go here if you dont want to waste time.
Does a great job with their curbside service. Good food and coffee. Def worth a visit.
Food was awesome. Prices are pretty stellar. Management and servers are very attentive. Nice to have a local spot so delicious. I highly recommend this spot tucked away on jog rd and forest hill!
Took 20 minutes to get my food
Easily the best breakfast sandwiches in baltimore, by far. Literally on point every time. Cito sauce is freakin great. You really cant beat it. Why 4 and not 5 stars? Unfortunately it isnt anything that ground and griddles can control. It is the atmosphere of R house. That feeling like you are in a mall food court is such a drag. I hat the music. I hate the ambient noise. I hate the decor. At one point ground and griddled had a stand alone restaurant, it was significantly better if an environment. If youre in the area come by for the breakfast and coffee. You will probably be annoyed by the environment, but wowed by the food!
Only takeout window was open. Coffee was just okay.
Great breakfast sandwiches. A little messy, but well worth it.
I tried to order some food from their order window outside but the counter person refused to take me order and told me I had to use the app. I told them I could not download it on my phone because I don’t have a enough data And the r house’s public wifi does not allow downloads regardless at the end of the day I only had cash to pay with :/ I have had this sub par food before and can say that this is not worth the trouble for the cardboard they pass are breakfast food. I don’t usually wish this on people. But if there is a business to go under during these time I hope it’s this scam of a restaurant disappears
Service and food both are wonderful. But they closed Monday and Tuesday .Top Gear Auto Shop
Food is excellent. I love this place. The staff is so friendly and kind, and the location is perfect. Excellent customer services. I would highly recommend them.
Great breakfast sandwiches and fast service!
Great food!!! Staff is amazing as well.
Tastes like homemade hot off the griddle breakfast comfort food with healthy options. I loved the fresh turkey sausage as an option for my Plain Jane Egg sandwich and added arugula. It was perfect. The smashed avocado with the Hungarian paprika was delicious too.I know good matcha and if it’s made right. I liked that there was an oat milk option. This matcha tea latte was superb. The right boldness of the matcha, blended well, with the perfect frothiness.
Theyve made some new hires and its completely ruined the experience. I was a pretty regular customer, frequenting multiple times a week, but not anymore. Why would I (over)pay to be insulted and have my day wrecked first thing in the morning? Nah. To any potential visitors: if this is how they treat the loyal patrons, you might want to save yourself the trip.
Pros: great cold brew and nitro, convenient in r house, quality ingredients you can tasteCons: be prepared to drop a pretty penny, most small (relative) sandwiches are $8-$10, prices reminiscent of blue bottle in Manhattan. If you dont mind dropping 15-20 for breakfast this is one of the best places in the city.
I NEVER review food places but my experience at this place was terrible. It is super over priced for mediocre food and coffee. I ordered food and was told it would take about 15 minutes. Over an hour later I didn’t get my food and they hadn’t even started making it. Meanwhile the staff was eating food in the back joking around.Definitely not worth $22 for breakfast. Don’t waste your time here every other place at RHouse is better.
Really great tasting breakfast sandwich, as well as coffee. Taste, presentation, etc. was all really great. R House atmosphere is one of a kind. Be prepared for pay a bit more for the high quality experience.
I’m dedicating my 5 stars to the coffee, chai latte and Insane Jane sandwich; I’m here enjoying them on a weekly basis! It is a treat because it’s not cheap; but all food is locally sourced and v tasty. (I did have a daily special sandwich that I was disappointed with.)
One of the best in Baltimore. In terms of food quality and specialty coffee, only comparable to Artifact. All reviews less then 4 stars are insane and not to be taken seriously. This place has it going on.
Friendly and quick working staff, and food that is way better than you would expect for a coffeeshop in a food court packed with delicious options. They only serve breakfast/brunch type food like egg sandwiches and fresh baked croissants until 2:00 so you gotta get it before the kitchen closes, but their food is phenomenal. Their coffee is freshly ground--as you would expect from their name--and is packed with smooth flavor. I really love espresso and these guys make the best in bmore. Never had a bad cup since I started coming here about 6 months ago. It is a little pricey if youre getting something other than a plain coffee or espresso, but it is definitely worth it.
Asked for a latte at 130 or so - cool, not hot. Was served something so hot that it burned my tongue within an instant - coffee is watered down and over priced - no flavor - boo hiss boo
My kinda of breakfast very refreshing and flavorful...
Great coffee. Says online they close at 7. Came at 5:15pm and Barista says they now close at 5. I walk off and pass the stand again with my food and see 2 people walking away with drinks. I again ask if I can get a coffee, and she says they are closed.
The insane jane is INSANELY good. Be ready though to get egg on your face and fingers. Super super tasty treat. Sure its $10, but if you want good food with good ingredients you have to pay for it. Dont think too much about it, if you want a good sandwich just friggin buy it and enjoy. Save the guilt for later. It occurs to me now that a picture would have been good, and honestly I thought about taking one, but there was some arugula that fell out on to the plate and I thought Id just eat that to make the plate cleaner and I thought well if Im eating it I might as well dip it a little in the gooey cheese and sauce that leaked out a little and then before I knew what was happening I was licking egg off my fingers and the corners of my mouth. So this is a long way to say, no picture. Sorry.
Great coffee. A bit pricy. The service is extremely slow
I purchased the signature bacon egg and cheese. The sandwich needed a little more sauce and should be eaten with fork and knife because its alittle tough(bread) to eat
Ordered a latte with almond milk, it was the chalkiest almond milk Ive ever had. Also ordered a basic BLT and was specific about I wanted on it. The sandwich came with the things I said not to put on it. It was sloppy and I felt like I wasted my money. Over priced for no reason.
Fantastic brunch in the R House in Remington Baltimore with great community seating.
Got a breakfast BLT and nitro cold brew. Steep price for an 8oz coffee and breakfast sandwich, but it was good. Im accustomed to nitro pour coffees being on the sweeter, lighter side but this one was very roasted and a hair off of bitter. I think if this was the first nitro coffee you ever tried, it might dissuade you from the style. They served it with a lid on it which meant straw penetration resulted in being misted, might have been mad had I been wearing white. The sandwich was excellent, sturdy bread with good bacon and baby arugula for bite. The egg was cooked perfectly, and I had no idea paprika was such a hip ingredient. Ive been cooking with three different kinds for my half Hungarian wife for years. R house is a tragically hip food court in a not yet ready for prime time area, but it is a solid concept, and hopefully an anchor for a Smalltimore food scene with talent that maybe lacks downtown capital.
The coffee here is great, but a little overpriced. The food here is also fabulously delicious.
Best cup o coffee in the city!
Overpriced. And the staff seems to either be clueless, not alert, or just slow. I paid $7 for a tiny half sandwich. Not worth it.
For $8 you gave me half a sandwich??? Try again.
I went, according to Google maps they open at 7 and they were there, but they dont start serving coffee until 8. I told them I drove 30 minutes to get there, they just laughed. Got nothing.
So worth it! You don’t get this quality of ingredients and food for cheap....
Love the stumptown coffee.
Good coffee
It was fine.
Good food but deff not worth the price, only reason they are the price they are is because of location. Travel to dc instead and go to somewhere more filling and stop at the dc zoo . 2 birds 1 stone
