Time on the service department is horrible, I dropped off a truck last Monday for signs of transmission failure. It has been 10 business days and they have not even inspected it. The worst part it’s that I call and stop by to get updates and they don’t even return my phone calls. Yesterday I dropped by in the morning and I was told it was going to a “test run” and I would get a call in a few hours. Today I stoped by and they said our guy is going to “test drive it” and we’ll call you later but since it’s Friday and they close is a couple hours I know I won’t even get a call. This is my work truck and I have not been able to work but they sure don’t get it’s not their pockets hurting.

Well first of all my service advisor Ruben Hernandez was great. Kept me in the loop on the service on my truck. But honestly I don’t know if you guys read this or if I’ll get a phone call but I had a battery installed on my truck. The technician that installed it looks like some acid from the battery fell on my truck with a smear as well. Another thing, the used my front end of my truck as a step still and scratched my chrome. All this was noticed not when I left the dealer but when I washed my truck. I know if I would’ve said something then, nothing would be done, just like now! Just letting you guys know that your technicians do not care or respect anything the work on. And this is a very expensive truck. And honestly probably won’t be taking it back there.

I dropped off my Enclave because of a engine light appearing on the dash. I was told that I would be called later that day with the results of the test. I was called in the afternoon and was told that the problem was the transmission and that several parts needed to be replaced. I was informed that the parts were quickly available and the repair would be made by the date I requested (I was headed out of town on vacation). The parts came in, the extended warranty was used to pay for the parts and labor ($100.00 deductible), a test drive was made to ensure the transmission was 100% and I was headed out of town on my vacation - on time - just as promised. Thank you Motor City for a stress free vacation.
Great experience buying my new 2500 Sierra. They were quick and had a fair price. In comparison to the dealership across the street from them where it took 5 hours to buy my wifes SUV. The only negative was the trade in price was much lower than I could have got anywhere else.

The radiator low fluid light came on my 2019, 3500 Denali Duramax. I called Carlos in the service department. He was very knowledgeable about what the problem was as he explained how it would needs to be fixed along with a estimate. He really put my mind at ease letting me know it was only a sensor. Had 2 vehicles in the shop. Vehicle 1 was my Suburban for an oil change, everything was great. Vehicle 2 was my Impala to change wheel sensors. This went well except our keys being lost, the car key and fob and 2 different house keys, were lost, misplaced or left in another vehicle. You replaced the remote and key to the car at no charge but 2 house keys are out there somewhere.

I needed an oil change fast. When I called Gmc they said they could get me in next week, so I could come in as a walk in, and they said yes. My car wash ready in 3 hours. Feels so much better. They offered me a car wash. The best part is the oil change was$50. I have been telling my family to go get oil changes at Gmc.

The people are great. The product is flawed and GMC refuses to acknowledge there is a problem with the transmission and fix it. I have owned several trucks from 3 different manufacturers and NONE of them had the kick shifting that this truck has.
The service went excellent! Everyone I met while there was very friendly and helpfully as it was my first visit to Motor City, won’t be my last either! Service was very fast. Just excellent all around experience.
Service man would not answer phone calls or return phone calls for multiple days. Work was never fixed.
Unfortunately the service has not happened. When I called to make the appointment I spoke to the parts department to make sure the parts would be in when my appointment date arrived. They assured me the seatbelt I needed would be ordered. I left my car on appointment day and they never looked at it. Day 2 they finally had tech look at car and called to say they didn’t have the parts. They would need to order them. They get 2 stars because manager of service Dept tried to make it right by delivering my car to my house and promising to overnight the parts and not charge for labor when the job is done. Fast forward two weeks and I have never heard from motor city gmc again. I still need to have my seatbelt replaced and my 75,000 mile service done.

Called in at around 9:00 am today to speak with a service advisor and was told that a William would call me back. By 3:00, still no call so I called again. I was told by the girl who answers calls that she would remind him again but that he was busy! Since when is a large dealership unable to call a customer back because it’s busy? I guess when you aren’t buying a $50,000 truck. I bought my truck in 2017 and drive it mostly in town to and from work. We noticed the transmission slipping and got it checked out by a local transmission specialist who told us it needs to be replaced or rebuilt!! I’m still trying to process how a $50,000 3 year old GMC truck needs a new transmission this soon. The transmission specialist told me that these trucks have been know to have this problem!!! Now I’m facing a 3 to 4 thousand dollar transmission overhaul!!! Thanks MOTOR CITY!!!

I called in and talked to Christian looking for an AT4 2500HD Sierra. Right away he was straight forward and told me that due to the certain climate of the supply chain issues he didn’t have any on hand but orders were already placed and I could reserve one of the ones on order. The pricing was already fair compared to all other dealer ships in Southern California (I had already called around) and so I reserved one. Christian notified me about the wait time and that it could be changed based on availability of the computer chips. During this production time another customer had backed out of his reservation and Christian called right away and tried to offer me that truck but I missed the call and unfortunately due to the hot market it was already sold by the time I got a chance to call back which was expected. About a month later I got a call saying my truck should be arriving soon. As soon as it showed up Christian sent me pictures and said “You are going to like this!” Haha from that point he started helping me get everything in order. He even got my a cheaper interest rate than my credit union which I was impressed with, saving more money. Motor city then even helped me out by towing my vehicle to my front door which is in San Diego and even the driver was professional, helpful and on time. This is the first new vehicle I have ever bought for myself, and I am so glad I got to buy from Christian and the Motor City crew!

This place has great inventory, and the salesman, Dario was a pleasure to deal with. Dude at the desk with the Chicago Bears mask was nice too. I drove from Santa Maria to Bakersfield and it was worth every minute. I had called a few surrounding dealerships inquiring about a Sierra. Only Dario at Motor City was willing to do research and call me back promptly with the info i was looking for. I live 2 minutes from a GMC dealership. But my go-to dealership is 2 hours away. Just purchased a 2021 Yukon Denali. My sales consultant was Andy Merino. Andy reached-out to me from an internet inquiry. He was very responsive and easy to work with. I live in San Diego and was coordinating a purchase and trade-in from here. For the trade-in I sent Andy numerous photos and a detailed description. He worked with his appraisal department and provided a quote. I was initially concerned that once I arrived (3.5 hours away) that they may try to re-trade the price but they delivered on exactly what they said on both the Yukon and the trade-in. Same with the Sales Manager and the Finance Manager. Everything was very straight forward, no BS. They didnt try to add-on a bunch of other last minute stuff. Andy took my through all the options in the car, setup my phone, etc. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another car or recommend them to a friend. Great experience.

Leased a brand new 2021 GMC Sierra elevation. Was told it would be here in 2-3 days. Ended it up getting it 7 days later. After having the truck for 5 days the tailgate stops responding. I take I in to get fixed. When I pick it up 2 days later the truck has a scratch on the rear passenger door. Now I have to take it back to get the tailgate fixed and now the scratch. I don’t think I’ve EVER been this upset or inconvenienced by a dealership.Brian Wells, our sales man, did great nevertheless. He had great customer service.

Nick, the online sales manager, was great. He worked with me to assure that I was able to see and drive the vehicle when it came in a few days after I inquired about it. Was great at taking the time to help me through the process and familiarize me with the basic controls and gadgets.Finance department was great and knew that I needed to complete the transaction quickly as I had plans for the evening and limited time. Finance went smoothly (I already had a pre-approval letter from my credit union, so that helped speed things up), and quickly. Unlike previous vehicle purchases from another dealership where it took several hours to get into, and out of, finance. Even with pre-approval letters.So far I am happy with the customer service that I received from Motor City and the personnel that I have had contact with. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

I entered the dealership not knowing anyone. I asked for help and immediately felt welcome to explore and look at vehicles that fit my expectations and the features I had in mind. My wife and looked at several vehicles and concluded to wait for a shipment because we had specific features we wanted and color was a priority too. The sales person was patient and understanding. We were called a little over a week later when new stock arrived and the vehicle was a match. It fit our expectations. The purchase process and financing was completed and the new vehicle prepped in about 90 minutes after we made the decision to purchase. I recommend Motor City GMC. We had a good purchase experience that was complemented with resources for when or if when have questions, or need help with service.

I had Motor Citys body shop repair my SUV after someone tried to break into it breaking the lock and scratching the door & handle. They did an excellent job matching the paint. Looks terrific. Also the receptionist Ciara made the whole experience of scheduling very easy. Great customer service. Would recommend to anyone needing a reliable body shop when in need of repairs done on their vehicle.
Very satisfied with the service tech Steve. He kept me informed as to the progress being made on my truck. I do feel that any extended warranty info should be readily available to your service personnel. I shouldn’t have to inform them of extended warranty coverage and they in turn must research as to what is covered and what is not. That’s crazy in an information generation where all this information should be linked together.

Discussed issue with William on Monday 3/15 and he made me an appointment for the next day. He was very courteous and professional with how he handled my scheduled repair. He also arranged (without me asking) to complete a airbag recall, saving me another trip to the dealership. Repairs including recall were completed that same day. Repair cost was lower than estimates I received from other non dealership repair facilities. I have Motor City do all of my service and maintenance because of the previous mentioned reasons.

Had an appointment dropped it off 2 days early. Got a call. On the next business day about my concerns. After that the only time I heard from anyone is when I called them. Second time I called. I did t even get to speak to the service writer and they informed me my truck was done. Would have been nice for a call I was In Town that day and could have picked it up. Talked the service manager they did not find the issue with the trans. I was very upset about that since it happens quite frequently. Didn’t hear from them again. Called and was informed the truck was ready. Not impressed with this service department. I will be very reluctant to return. On the drive home the trans did it’s thing 5 times. I have bought $60,000+ 2018 GMC Sierra Denali with 8 speed Transmission. After taking back to the dealer for hard shifting, was told it is common problem with an eight speed transmission. I did some research on the ISSUE and found out lots of other people have the same problem. GM was aware of the problem and knew the transmission oil can cause torque converter to slip and glaze over time however there was no recall issue by GM. Ive taken to Motorcity and they did replace oil and transmission body valve. Ive taken back several times to get it taken care and was told to Call GM there nothing else can do to guaranty they can fix the problem
