Have heard a lot of good things about this place, but could never get myself to go here since its on the opposite side of town from me. Went today and the place is great. Staff is respectful. Store is clean. They have a lot to choose from at the butcher block (main reason I went) Definitely gonna go back soon. Need to buy a deep freezer so I may take advantage of their baskets.

Ive been in a lot of markets in my life but have to tell you, maybe never in one like this.The store is beautifully organized with its products, great meat prices and selections compared to supermarket, lot of fresh sausages of different flavors to choose from or fresh meat cuts of your choice. It is simply just astounding of how this store operates. It is so clean, friendly and courteous staff serving you that if you ever in your life had told me that such a store existed I would easily have laughed in your face for telling such a fable as this. I have no clue who owns, who operates or manages this place but if I had a thousand hat on the top of my head I would raise each one of them in respect and gratitude for his or her service to the community.Thank you for discovering you!

Well let me tell you if you want some real fresh meat this is the place, places like this are hard to find a actual meat market that cares of the quality in there products, HARRIS Ranch also have meat baskets.... They support locally vender I enjoy the the sauce and jelly they have for paring with your meat delicious...I recommend them to everyone.

I have been coming here for over 40 years. This is a friendly small neighborhood store with an old-fashioned butcher shop, you can get any type of meat you want here and the meat is the highest quality grade youll find anywhere.

We purchase our deep pit beef there. It is wrapped, seasoned.just take of the plastic, put it in a pan for the drippings and put it in the oven to cook for 8 hours.

Cant get enough of this place! Once a month we stop by to get a box of ground elk, venison, boar, and bison as well as some mako steaks. This is because the prices can be a little high but if you ask me its worth it! The vegetables are amazing, too! All the stuff to make avocado bison burgers with homemade fries were right there! Nice wine and beer selection if you want some alcohol and dont want to make another stop, too.

Been going to Wood dowels for almost 30 years and now I have a lot of fresh tomatoes in our favorite thing at the end of summer is getting their fresh bologna and Wonder Bread and making a bologna sandwich with tomatoes mustard mayonnaise and lettuce lots of salt and pepper I know thats a weird tradition but thats our tradition that weve had Atwood Dells for 30 years maybe not quite 30 years but I live down the street from them 20 years ago with the original owners and I was very sad to see that they moved and left their business behind and he retired but some great people have taken over it and its still the best quality ever

On this day I shopped at Wood Dale which is a string of many because this was my favorite meat store. My opinion has been forever altered. I have always bought my meat from Wood dale market from the start of my Culinary Student assignments years ago, usually spending upwards of 100-600 dollars. In the past they have always been kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Until today 12/02/2020. The location I visited was always the address on Stine. The “Nephew” took over and it was different but I didn’t experience any issues until today. Previously under the “Uncles” supervision I rated this location 5 stars. Today I went in and was treated so horrible that I had to change it to 1 star. The 1 was earned only because the nephew came out, finally after hearing his staff yelling and being disrespectful to me. If the nephew “manager” wouldn’t have come out, I’d be one of the people asking for negative numbers as reviews.I came upon the meat counter and was NOT greeted at all. Usually, I’m greeted with a gentleman asking, if I need any help. That NEVER happened. I could see four employees at workstations working with different meat products right in my face laughing, talking & joking; while NEVER ONCE looking up at me to assist. I decided to look through the glass window at the presentation of meats and decide exactly what I want in order to GIVE THEM TIME to MAKE THEIR WAY UP to the counter to offer assistance. I looked at meat and made decisions but the help was never offered.Finally, I waved my hands & said “excuse me” because I couldn’t find the bell that was usually there. That incited the four young men to chant amongst each other “Someone needs help! Someone needs help!” as they stirred looks towards one direction. Finally, a young man stepped up and said I can help you ma’am. Mind you, I am already rightfully perturbed at how long it took to get acknowledgment while hearing the four men joking in the background but not acknowledging the front counter at all, not one glance. When I get to the small pork chops. I point at them and say to the associate helping me “I’ll take 3 of these small boneless pork chops because its 3 of us and that’ll be what’s for dinner.” This gentleman proceeds to ask me several times which meat I was referring to. Each time I pointed at the same slim cut, boneless pork chops (I wondered if he was high). He acts like he finally understands when he gets to the correct row of meat. Then he proceeds to grab a huge UNCUT SLAB of pork meat and put it on the scale. At that point I was tired of the BLATANT INCOMPETENCE. So I told him for the 4th time what I wanted and then I asked why would you think I wanted a huge uncut slab of pork meat for dinner? Before he could answer, some other meat guy, (the one that told him to go help) came to me and began speaking very disrespectfully. In a manner that I don’t care to repeat. I ask him to stop speaking to me disrespectfully. He kept doing it. I then stated I have been a faithful customer her for years, and have never had any problems pointing at a meat and receiving that meat without incident. The skinny pale guy that came towards me with a raise voice spoke as if the “new guy” grabbed the huge chunk of uncut pork meat because I wasn’t clear. That’s BS. The owner’s nephew made an appearance, he apologized, and said he was on his break. He finished my order, while on break, I suppose. Here’s the thing; while I thanked him for helping me on his break, this store should be able to run smoothly even during his break! If you have to come off of break and tell your employee to “Shut up, Stop talking!” Which is what he did, then that should tell you there is a problem.I never experienced anything like this at any other meat market and never when it was under the direct management of the “Uncle.” With that being said. I revoke my five stars and give it one star only because the “nephew” came out to ask his staff to “Shut up, Stop talking!” I will never go back to that location. I am not sure if I will visit the other locations. I was treated horr

They always have a great selection of meats. You have to try the stuffed pork chops. The employees go out of their way to help you with everything from recommendations, to seasonings, and to how to cook each piece of meat. Ive been getting meat there for years and will always recommend them to people looking for a place to pick up a delicious steak.

Excellent store, their proteins are outstanding. The employees are the nicest folks ever, I highly recommend this place. Even if you dont live close by, its worth the drive if you wish to stock up on your meats.

My favorite market is Wood-Dale Market. I always buy my meat from Wood-Dale. Always beautiful. The service is outstanding. I feel like a queen when shopping there. Yesterday I bought all the stuff for tacos. I love the hunks of Longhorn cheese in the deli section. The store is always fully stocked. Makes it so easy to find everything I need. Couldnt ask for a nicer, helpful staff and the best part is real live expert butchers are professional in every way. Its a beautiful shopping experience! ☀

Halal tri tip, New York strip, and ground beef available, FYI. This place has interesting choices in frozen such as Bison, venison, rabbit, duck, duck fat, frog legs, crawfish plus plenty of seafood. Loads of specialty sausages both frozen and fresh. Tons of bones for soups and stocks. I called ahead looking for a specific cut of meat. They had it sliced and ready when I picked up! Theres two in Bakersfield, I think. this is the one by a Korean church and a small hair salon.

We love Wood-Dale Market. They have Harris Ranch Beef and make about a dozen varieties of sausages on site. The guys in the meat market are really knowledgeable and helpful.

Very few of my friends know of this place it small and not on a busy road. Theres more than just meat here. I love all the non pork options. So many sausages to choose from. Lots of variety of meat and seafood such as tuna and mahi steaks, bison, venison, duck, lamb, goat, offal, and loads of different animal bones for broth. They know where their animal products were raised. Lots of pasture raised grass fed options. The parking lot affords lots of space for large vehicles. Very clean with the only smell being that of the spices they use for sausages.They sure pack alot of product in a small place. So clean. This will be the only place I buy meat in Bako from now on!

Ordered my Christmas prime rib from these guys and at first I thought WOW thats kind of expensive . Boy was I wrong I gladly would have paid more because the quality could not have been matched by anyone else in town I guarantee it. This will be the only place I get my Christmas prime rib again .

Harris ranch meat is some good stuff if you like sausages they have a wide variety of things my favorite is a tie between the chile verde and the jalapeno they are both delicious and if you want a real treat get one of their famous stuffed pork chops big chunk of meat stuffed with some goodness cant say anything bad about this place.
