Drove across town just to be disappointed by the lack of variety and mediocre customer service. All they had was SRF tri tip, no SRF ribeye or New York’s. Prices were okay but what kind of butcher shop won’t cut steaks at request? I understand if they are busy but there was no one else waiting, and they refused to cut me some thin sliced ribeye.

This is my go to place :) I know how to burn meat just right and Cutting Edge has THE best cuts around. It makes it difficult to order any cut when I go out for dinner.Thanks guys, keep it up.

A must stop for getting quality meat in Bakersfield. Stopped there last night to pick up some steaks. Meat is grain finished and you can taste that sweetness in the meat. So happy I found my Bako steak shop.

I think this place is a perfect 10. Went there (limited selection due to Covid-19). One of the owners helped me. I bought a wagyu boneless ribeye steak, a killer griller (half prime rib, half tri tip), and a rack of baby back ribs. They gave great advice how to smoke the griller, and ribs. I cooked the ribeye last night. Tender like butter and oh so flavorful. They threw in a pound of their house smoked applewood smoked bacon. He warned me ot would be the best bacon ever. OMG! Made BLT sammies, off the hook. Totally recommend this place.

Let me start by saying I was lucky enough to find cutting edge because They generously donated $100 gift certificate to the cardinals youth football teams. And I won the raffle. The customer service is outstanding the meat and seasonings was amazing will definitely be back.

This place is absolutely incredible the quality of beef that comes from here is beyond comparison to anything youll find. Side note, Google maps takes you to the wrong location, Cutting Edge is in the Valero gas station on the corner of Fruitvale Avenue and Norris road.

As others have said, you park in the Pounds Gasoline/Convenience lot, and enter the store, head to the back, and there you are. Sort of on the North edge of town.Great variety of meats, at least a few cuts of pork, chicken, beef and lamb whenever Ive been through. Very fresh, some pre-marinated or rubbed or skewered or otherwise prepared products to throw right on the grill. So if you are in a hurry, this is an especially good option. Excellent selection of hand-made sausages are my favorite.Really friendly and helpful staff.

Hands down the best butcher shop in Bakersfield! I went for a prime rib eye, left with some apple cinnamon sausage thats to die for.Its a strange experience because theyre in the pounds convenience store, but the meats are excellent
