I went to Alterations & More based on the reviews to get a bridesmaids dress altered for my friend’s wedding in Connecticut. I was not happy with the work that was done for $116 in alterations. The work is extremely sloppy and you can see the stitching from the outside (see photos - the threading was also a shade off). When I questioned why the inside lining wasn’t lined up to where it should be, I was told that it was “the wiring”. There are no wires in this gown. I also had the bottom hemmed and it’s uneven and a bit too long. When I tried the dress on, I was told it looked perfect by the seamstress. My mom was able to fix the lining on the bodice so that it’s not as noticeable. But I’m still disappointed in the quality of work that was done for the price that I paid. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

I needed some quick alterations made to a couple pairs of slacks. Im used to waiting a week, so when I was told theyd be ready in less than 24 hours, I was shocked. While not a complicated job compared to others, the work was done well.

The seamstress did an outstanding job! I brought in a long coat jacket that was too big. I was wearing a sweatshirt, did not have the belt and was not appropriately dressed for a fitting. She took one look at me did the measurements in her head.When I tried the garment on, it was a perfect fit! Absolutely amazing!

Every patch on my vest has been sewn on at Alterations&More. I love how I feel like Im apart of the family when there.

Mrs. Maria is so sweet and personable! The door dings she yells from the back that she will be right with you and she does. They do a great job and are fast! This is my 2nd time using her and I will continue to do so. Good service has been hard to come by during Covid so I will stick with this place!

This place is great! My mom and I have been going there for like 6 years now and the lady who runs the place always does a great job, even when we need it in a hurry! She will always do her best to work with you and she is quite the master seamstress. Ive never had a price that I thought was unreasonable! Very friendly service

Got a pair of jeans hemmed and a blazer taken in at the sides and I am very, very pleased! This was my first time taking anything to an alterations place, and the process was very easy. My jeans and and jacket both look amazing, and both myself and my husband were admiring how well they had been tailored. Honestly, my jacket looks just like it did off the rack, except it finally fits :). No unsightly seams or anything of the sort, just fine quality craftsmanship by a wonderfully sweet woman who knows what shes doing. Dont go anywhere else, this is the best of the best!
