This is our usual Dollar Store, and they always have good stuff…but I want to applaud the employees during this trying time. They take the mask mandate very seriously, and make sure (rather, try very hard to make sure) customers are masked up. They won’t let anyone in without a mask, and if some a-hole takes it off while in the store, they call them out and make them put it on. Whether or not you believe it helps stop the spread of COVID-19 is immaterial…it’s whether or not you care about other people and their lives. This store cares, so they will always get my business. And I do WAY more business than I should. 😁 Thank you, employees at the Dollar Tree in Capitol Plaza. It’s a tough thing to get yelled at for keeping people safe. Y’all rock.

Usually the store is stocked but somethings a miss. They now in April of 2021 have nothing stocked and empty shelves for weeks.Might be a corporate issue too. Ill have to visit other stores around here and assess if its a staffing issue?Other then that store smells good, nice staff, and over all nice place to shop for the cheap stuff I need.

Good store but always very busy with so little help. the lines make the discount of the products not worth waiting for...where is everyone at?? Any ways????

The line was long and slow with only one checker. I got what I went for though and easy parking.

I dont where those photos were taken, or when but I visit that store 2 to 3 times every week. And have since I moved here in 2018.. But I garentee that is not the store at South park Meadows. Austin. I only shop there due to no other option, being disabled and dont drive limits options. Never any carts available. Under staffed. I have on MOST occasions have stood in line no less then 15 min. Not handicap friendly considering theres always 2 or more blocked to the point Only 1 person can be in that Isle and some have no access .. Asking for assistance is not an option simply because there only I employee up at a time not sure if they are the only one there?? Twice the same employee has broke the law and violated my rights as a disabled person with a service animal by asking illegal questions that I do not have to answer even after I gave proof willingly which I did not have to I was harassed she followed me through the store harassing me I dont know where management is but this is the most under managed store at southpark Meadows

Its a little crowded but it has a nice variety of items and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I came in this afternoon for a large hall and Gloria was very nice and helpful. Always great when get wonderful service that makes shopping so much more enjoyable. Thank You

One person working cash register. Line in store was extremely long and the wait time to check out was about a half an hour or so. Never going back to that store again.

Dollar tree has a good variety of items from: kitchen, snacks, toys, decorations, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products. This location is located in the Capitol Plaza area. The staff is friendly the store can be a little disorganized at times but that’s due to the high traffic this dollar tree receives.

I have been to several different locations in the Austin area, and this one is awesome! Clean, organized, well stocked shelves--and the friendliest cashier ever. My new fave DT

The store is pretty clean. Great selection. Very rude/short employees and manager. Cut me off and talked over me when asking about using the restroom. Employee and manager had an attitude/disrespectful tone and demeanor for no reason.

I have lived in the 78702 area all my life. Thus is the first time I have seen the Dollar tree look so organized! It was clean, shelves well stocked and organized, AND they have added a few $5 shelves for you big spenders! However; they were short on baskets. Thank you Dollar Tree!

Friendly register persons but store seems constantly understaffed and shelves are often almost bare and/or in pretty bad disarray. I feel sorry for the employees who are being run ragged because management wont hire more hands.

Worst experience ever . Was thrown out of store by a carpet cleaner. Yesterday I was able to purchase up until 9. Today, the doors closed by 8:30 PM. Unacceptable. Horrible customer service at this store. Avoid the store at all costs, as the manager and customer service people are rude.

The employee by the name of Rick with long hair needs some customer service skills. So rude to me and other customers!

This store is always a hot mess, the manager was on a register with the light off checking out some woman when I went through the line he told me that he wasnt going to be able to check me out I walked away down another aisle came back up the aisle he was checking out another woman. Out of all the managers this store has had, this store is the most unorganized clutter down the aisles and customer service need to be retrained from the manager..

God forbid you have to use the restroom in this place, I asked the guy for the key and he says “sure, as soon as I’m able” he then proceeds to check out another 4 customers while I’m standing there really having to go, finally just walked over to Walgreens. Next time, finish helping the customer your with, tell the next person just a moment and let the person into the restroom

They are great except no small globes and thats what I needed it other than the rest of the stuff I bought.

The cashier who checked me out was a gentleman called Tashi. He is HANDS DOWN the friendliest and most efficient cashier I have ever experienced at ANY Dollar Tree! Polite, friendly, fast, what more could you want!? He is meant for WAY MORE than Dollar Tree and you are lucky to have him there.

Placed an order online. Got an email saying it had arrived at the store and would be able to pick it up that day. I drove to the store (which happens to be no where near where I live), get there and the manager told me they havent checked it in yet and cant get it to me. I asked if someone could check it in and I could go home with it. They told me no, no one was here to do that... Manager cant do it apparently - or is just too lazy to. They told me it might be checked in tomorrow, might not. Theyll write someone a note to check it in. So basically, Ill be lucky if it is checked in in a week or so... Dont waste your time. Store is in disarray and customer service is below par.

This is the best Doller 🌲 in the surrounding area. The place is pretty organized. They have some stuff some of the other 💰 🌲s in the area just doesnt. Parking is a little tough sometimes. They have 3L bottle of sodas and 2L bottle of seltzer water thats definitely worth the money.

For cleaning supplies, no one can beat Dollar Tree. If you find what you need in stock, its a great buy. Sadly, this location is most always hit or miss. The staff is friendly though so its not a total loss. Always fun to see what you can find here. Great for holiday gift wrap and such as well!

I love Dollar Tree and have been to many. The young man that checked me out was very friendly and nice. That is the best thing I can say about this store.This store was dirty, unorganized and out of stock on several items. But you cant tell until you rifle through everything thrown in the bottom bins on each row.The only reason they are getting two stars is the young man that checked me out.

They have good snacks and frozen food selection. Theres always big lines for the registers and are very slow. Everything is kind of messy, but I think they just dont have enough employees since they sell everything for very cheap. Not that bad overall.

I have never seen such a pristine dollar tree ...every aisles was clear of boxes and the shelves were stocked...the freezers were stocked from top to bottom. Everytime I went to the next aisles my husband and were still amazed ...I asked to speak the the manager to give her and her team props because it was well deserved ..I dound my new dollar tree

This is the most convenient location for me, but it isnt the prettiest.Seems like the usual run down Dollar Store type.This location usually is pretty packed with families and their children running around.Messier than other Dollar Trees, but I can still manage to find what I need.You can find anything here, and most times, I end up walking with 5 other items that I didnt come in to buy. Oh, I might need this. Plus, its only a dollar..... Gets me every time.

I love going to the grocery store or Dollar Tree that have a lot of nice stuff in there I had apply for a job there at Capital Plaza I need the morning shift I hope and pray they call me or contact me I dont mind taking stuff out of boxes and putting it on the on the Shelf

I love the Dollar Tree, because when they say everything is a dollar- they actually mean it. Ive found a few surprising name brand items here- the woman who was working at the time said that they sell whatever overstock there is.

This store has a bad habit of hiring the most disrespectful and unprofessional employees. This went on last year and I reported it and then again this year. This place have the worst attitude I have ever seen. I been assist mtg. a couple of stores, trust me if any of my employee would have acted like them they would be out. If nothing is done I will take this a step further. A very unsatisfied customer.

I wouldnt advise anyone to go dollar tree store in capital plaza, because the store was super hot I only say to employees and it was and old guy and a lady that look like she could have been like 45-50ish, but thats neither here nor there .What I am getting at is a long line, hot store, need more workers (ps ....... dont go there if you can avoid it)

There was a long line in the store with one cashier. The truck was being received by the manager but she went to the front for some reason. Another associate red head Annabelle was supposed to jump on the other register but she was dragging her feet. Annabelle finally got on the register then called for someone to come over. I walked over there and was rudely stopped in my tracks by her words and attitude. Several people said she was rude and she decided to put on a performance as if to prove that her nasty attitude could get worse as she smiled at all of us. Shoppers told her she shouldnt be working there with that attitude and Annabelle just carried on with her RUDE AS HELL comments and attitude. Even after she was told God doesnt like ugly she shrugged her shoulders and said she didnt care. Im guessing red head Annabelle forgot that it is the public that is paying her. Some of the customers talked about NEVER returning including myself. Maybe it will be a better experience for others but as for me....I dont have time for BS and thats putting it lightly. This place was disgusting, very little products hanging, most where laying around in disarray. They did have some decent things if you could see or find them. I wont be going back.

Pretty gross id take the star away if i could waited in line for 20 min only cause the other cashier was on her phone she had her light off and was by her register but her call was more important then the 10 people waiting in line. Wanted balloons for a party and they were out of helium lol.

Love the Dollar Tree stores! But this location is a hit or miss with having the new stuff that is shown in their sale circular papers. Also folks drive like they are in a 3rd world country around that parking lot of the shopping center. Going the wrong directions, not stopping for pedestrians, and driving like they are in the fast lane on I-35. The one in Pflugerville by Hawaiian Falls waterpark and the toll road is the best!!!!! Has the best stuff, clean and organized and has never been crowded every time I have gone to that one.I probably should have kept that last part to myself. lol....

This shopping center is pretty disgusting and this store is proof. The carpet has more gum spots showing than carpet. The staff are usually okay but I just cant handle this location. The shopping center can be a pain not only to navigate but finding parking can be an issue. PRO TIP: Avoid this DT location.
