It was okay pretty exciting about the wheel but I was told that our pieces will be done within a few hours when I called and booked our apt next thing you know after we took class they tell us that we will have to wait about 2 or 3 weeks until we can take our pieces home I also thought that we will color them same day. Nope u just make ur 3 pieces and pick a color after your done and hopefully wait another two or 3 weeks until it’s ready I was supposed to be giving out a piece l was expecting to take home same day when we made them . Maybe staff should learn to not give false information and they also forgot to add my extra handle on my mug that I paid extra $5 for now it’s a cup I guess I was very disappointed in this location I will not be returning .

I love this shop! And through the pandemic, they have gone above and beyond to provide a safe environment. You can work there, or they can send you home with supplies if thats what youre comfortable with.Lovely staff, excellent prices, and an overall positive experience.Thank you!

Friendly staff, great environment and relaxing and fun music. The staff are also helpful, assisting with color selection, paint brushes, stencils, etc. if needed. Never had a piece I e painted go missing, and they always take good care of each piece, wrapping my clay art pieces with paper after they are glazed and dry. They have mugs, plates, sets, trinkets, seasonal selections and the like. You pay for piece and glazing - you paint the piece, they take care of the glazing part. We go back often, love this place!

This place is pure magic! My husband and I just took a clay class here last night and now it’s all we can talk about!! The owner and her staff are all gorgeous and friendly, they make you feel so welcomed. We will definitely be going back for painting as well as more clay classes. If you’re looking for a creative outlet (which we all need), look no further, you’ve found the perfect place. Highly recommend!!

The Try It Out Wheel Pottery class was truly awesome!!!! Jules went above and beyond to help guide us and ensure we were having fun (unbreakable rule!) and made beautiful pieces :D I HIGHLY recommend this class and the studio in general. They were so safe during COVID and we had a great time! Worth the money and I will absolutely return the next time I’m in Austin!

My boyfriend and I went to Cafe Monet for a surprise date night and we had SO much fun! I made the mistake of only booking one spot in the class, but the owner was so kind about it and was able to accommodate for both of us still. Neither of us had any experience but we both learned so much and had a great time in the process thanks to our incredibly kind and helpful teachers. We can’t wait to see how our pieces turn out and will definitely be back again!

This is a great place to take kids to create something. My sister has taken her children multiple times. We even had a birthday party here once. The kids love it and they treasure their art years after they made it.

I really enjoyed this place. The first visit was just my husband and a couple of friends. We painted pottery pieces. It was so calming and loved we could bring our food and drinks. The following weekend I had my daughters 10th birthday there. They made mosaics. They all loved the party because it was different.

Fun for kids and adults. Many options to paint for whatever youre interested in.

This place is amazing! The staff is so kind and knowledgeable. My friend and I attended a beginners wheel class and had such a blast. Hector was helpful and did a great job guiding us. Prices are EXTREMELY reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

Helpful staff. New covid protocols, like they bring all the paints to you. Lower inventory on premade objects. Now have a studio for making things from clay!

Walked into a warm, friendly welcome by Jules and I want to say Kristin or Christine/a? Jules gave a fair and appreciated heads up about a group of elementary schoolers coming in for about an hour. My boyfriend and I stayed for almost three hours and never felt rushed by any of the staff. They have so many pieces to choose from and glazes to color with, and materials to decorate with! I can’t wait to see our pieces when they’re ready!

Ive gone to a couple painting places like this around town but Cafe Monet is by far my favorite. They have the best materials and unique tools and patterns you can use to make your piece special. I LOVE the lace technique! Shout out to Joan for being awesome and so helpful!

Enjoyed my experience bringing my kiddos here to paint something for Mother’s Day. The staff were very nice and helpful. Had our ceramic pieces fired and ready to go on the due date promised. Fun family experience, recommended for families wanting to try something new with the kids.

My husband and I had a blast here tonight. They have a great selection of items and lots of colors and a good atmosphere. The girl who helped us out was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back! Make sure you look at their time schedule though and plan your visit to allow you more than enough time. They do close earlier then we expected so we did have to rush at the end, but that was our fault for not checking. Although, we did not feel rushed by the employees. I do wish they would yell out “10 min warning” before they close though. But we had an awesome time and can’t wait to go back.

Planned ahead and called to confirm appointment time. Was rejected at door for another reserved party. Was shooed out with unpleasant looks pressured to leave quickly.Surprising to see such urgency to leave when they could take responsibility and be accommodating or apologize.

A favorite date-destination, everything you need for a great evening after dinner. My wife and I went on a double date here recently with some friends and it was busy / full. We still had a great time painting a platter and cocoa set, the staff was on-point and attentive to all patrons. There was a bit of a line for paint at some points, but not too bad. We looked up and 3-hours had gone by, and now we have some beautiful gifts that we made personal during our outstanding experience there. Always fun and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Theres a large selection of pieces to paint in every price range and size. You can work for half an hour on a small piece if youre in a hurry and just want a little break from the norm or spend many hours on larger or multiple pieces. Theres no limit to the time, theres a ton of paint colors, options, brushes, as well as stamps and cutouts for the less artistic in the group. The staff are helpful and attentive and the place is well lit and clean. Bring a bottle of wine and some snacks and youll have a great time with your group.

My brother and I brought my mom here for Mothers Day and she absolutely loved it. It let us spend time with our mom along with creating something together that she will always cherish. The staff is super sweet and very good at explaining the whole process. I would recommend going here. It was so much fun and now we have a memory of the day we spent with out mom

I called at noon and asked if 4 of us could come in to paint. They said it was too crowded, but we could come in after 3, and that worked great for us. We came in at about 3:15 and a lady told us we couldnt be there because a sorority had booked the place starting at 3. I said we called ahead and asked and were told to come in at that time, but the lady said someone must have messed up. We were bummed but said ok. On the way out, my brother was talking about one of the pieces he liked for 10 seconds and a 2nd lady came up and told us we had to leave. My husband said they were glaring at us. It was a really weird way to handle a mistake they made. Were not going back.

We went here for a birthday party and the experience was strictly okay. Coincidentally another family had organized a bday party on the same day that morning at their house, and it involved games in their backyard and then stitching and decorating their own bags, my kids loved that a lot more.Monet had the kids do some mosaic tiles on wooden blocks of various shapes. I enjoyed the morning Birthday more as well since kids had good space to play and spread out their work at the house party —Monet is tiny although at a good location. Staff is good and Food was brought from the outside by the hosts.

This place is perfect to spend the day off from work. The items are priced with paint and firing included which is a sweet deal. If you mess up your project the staff is ready to help you save it. I painted a ceramic bowl for my dog and it was way better than I could have hoped for. I cant wait to go back and do mosaics!

My seven and five year old sons love Cafe Monet. The best place in Austin to sit down and unleash your inner child and inner artist. Ive had a ton of fun painting piggy banks, plates, bowls, cups, etc. Their holiday items are always a great gift for grandparents and relatives. And Cafe Monet does offer birthday party packages for the little ones. My five year old had his party here and all the children had a blast...

Had a baby shower planned here. I think the options for mosaic art were very limited and the supplies ran out before us. It looked the place was understaffed and it took forever for the staff to attend us. I was told we will have a dedicated person to guide the entire time but that was not true. The guidance for artwork and promptness can definitely be improved.

So much fun, who knew painting pottery could be relaxing and the kids love it. You can choose your pottery to paint and they have something for adults and kids. Love this place!

The paints are kept full and the facility is always clean. The employees are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Top notch place!

Soooo love this place. Perfect for folks of all ages. Plan on spending on average about $15 for a piece to work on (some less and some much more) but that includes all paint, supplies, your art piece, and then it going into their kiln to finish it off.

What a neat place to visit. You pick your pottery. Paint it then wait 5 days. Great for groups or girls night out. This place is byob!!!

ABOVE AND BEYOND! Came here with my wife and daughter. As we finished, my daughter dropped her butterfly piece and broke the wing and antenna. As she bawled, one of the employees gathered the pieces, glued the pieces together and made it whole again. When my wife went to pick it up, they informed her that while it was in the cooker, it broke again. So they grabbed another one and painted it just like my little one did, fired it up, no extra charge. I dont know you name, but I cant thank you enough for all you did. The tall, young woman with the short curly hair...THANK YOU!

This is a great place to express your artistic skills. You pick on the piece you want to paint and it BYOB. You can paint to your hearts content using their supplies and paint. You only pay for the cost of the piece and there is no studio fee. This a perfect alternative activity for a cold or rainy day out with kids or friends.

Me and my friends booked this place for my friends 22nd birthday. The workers were amazing and friendly and very helpful on educating us how we should paint. All the stuff was fairly priced. Also, when our room time was ending and our party werent finish painting their stuff, they let us move our stuff outside and continue painting.

This place is awesome. There are lots of different pots, figurines, and little things to paint. I came here with my girlfriend, and decided to paint a tile. I got to pick from all the colors they have, and it came out really cool. Make sure you come with a lot of time - youll end up getting really into it.

This isnt my favorite place for this sort of thing but I was pretty fortunate with the one I had found in Dallas so I think the bar was just set too high for the norm. Usually the music is okay, and they have a small variety of things to pick from.

Heartless Establishment! I tried taking my little sister there today (Im a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sister to a fabulous little girl raised by a single mother). I thought itd be wonderful to have her make a present for her mom for Mothers Day. Knowing the business closed at 7, I called early in the day and was assured that if we came in at 6 wed have plenty of time to start and likely complete our projects, and that worst case scenario we could take them home and come back the following week to finish. When we arrived, however, we were turned away at the door and told that they terminate all projects at 6:15. What a heartless employee to turn away a 10 year old child and her mentor who simply wanted to make a Mothers Day gift for a hard working single mother. I hope that spoiled rotten employee enjoyed closing the shop early today!

We love this place, but I would suggest that the owner be a little less anal in front of customers. It just makes for an uncomfortable experience. Ive gone here for years and Ive noticed this on more than one occasion. I think she just needs to dial it back a bit, especially when customers are within earshot.

Fun spot, friendly staff, and chill vibes...fun for the family, art instead of electronics for media. The pieces seem a bit overpriced, however.
