Cute store, very curated, classy stuff, slightly more expensive than other thrift stores but it was because the stuff was nice.
You can usually find some cool stuff in here. Not the biggest spot though, so your options are a bit limited.
Pretty cool place. Mostly vintage tshirts and jackets plus a few racks of jeans and shorts. Prices are a little more expensive than other thrift shops in the area but its because everything is truly vintage. Lots of 80s and 90s items. Saw a lot of my heavy metal band favorites. Jackets were about $25, tshirts around $20 and jeans were mostly around $35 each.
If you’re into thrift-style, this place is worth visiting at least once. It’s not necessarily the best thrift prices, but super cool finds. Discount if you follow on IG too.
Really expensive for thrift, basically only tees and not much selection
Really cool vintage clothing and some sweet concert Ts!
Cool people work here and its a great place to find some nice jackets.
Loved this place. they are definitely pricey but definitely worth it. i got a really cool tee and i’m so happy with it. everything in there is worth at least looking at. great store definitely coming back.
Great vintage store in Austin, amazing selection of vintage pieces and great prices! You need to come check it out when in the atx!!
Here is the thing if you don’t want to go traditional thrift shopping and just want to get the trendy vintage pieces (70s 80s look) then go here. It’s more expensive but you don’t need to pick through “junk” to find good stuff. I always find something cute and trendy here. Goodwill is a good first stop though and if you can’t find vintage pieces then go to monkeys. Don’t get me wrong this store is so cool. Just walk in and look around one day!
One of my favorite shops for vintage shopping in Austin. They cater to students so have cute gently used items students and adults alike. I got a ultra cute disney shirt and acid wash shorts, looking forward to checking it out again when I’m in Austin.
Great vintage clothing and concert shirts at a good price.Other places will charge you $400 for a nice classic concert; not here.Just go when you can take your time to look for awhile. You will need it.
My brother and I were browsing around and I scored a game issued hockey jersey, authentic and real for 50 bucks, guy was nice and friendly, and my brother scored a real supreme hat. Really cool shop! Highly recommended!
Its a vintage t-shirt shop not bad if youre looking for that
Theyve got some cool stuff but it definitely isnt the cheapest place to go to. You pay extra for the better cloths, unlikely youll be making any great cheap finds.
Super cool store. 80s-90s tees galore... they have what I look for when I go to goodwill or any thrift store.
This place is awesome. I got a vintage Pendleton coat in great condition for an exceptional price. I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.
These n!ggas pretty Live w/ iiit, Ngc
They had a great selection of stuff and the prices were more than fair. Every time I’m back in Austin I’ll for sure be stopping by here
Super small shop. There are far better vintage shops in Austin. Basically it’s for UT students to spend money. I felt unwelcome dandy as if I was busting up their private party. If you’re really into vintage shopping in Austin, you can skip this one
This place is really cool. They have a large range of different items. My favorites - their collection of cowboy boots, vintage pearl snap and old school rock tees.Worth stopping to check them out. And the prices are fair as well. It seems like some vintage shops in Austin feel like they can charge way too much these days. Not these guys.
Really cool store if youre into 80s/90s looks and streetwear. Its not like going to a true thrift store however- its obviously curated, therefore everything tends to have a higher price, but you also get higher quality and rarer pieces in rather great shape. Not great if youre looking for a cheap fit, but great if you have the aesthetic in mind and you dont mind paying more to not have to sift through thrift and consigment store junk.
I love this place! Usually I dont go to vintage shops because theyre out of my price range, but this place has a wide variety of prices (around $6-$100, and everything in the bargain bin is $2) and styles. I immediately fell in love with a $13 cat sweater (kitsch and cute, not ironic-ugly) and a $12 pleather skirt. There are also some upscale pieces from the 50s that are really reasonably priced for their quality. Think Buffalo Exchange, but smaller, more affordable, and with a bigger percentage of the store devoted to mens wear.
Best vintage clothing store in Austin. Very affordable, big selection with a wide range of vintage styles from 60s psych to 90s grunge and everything in-between. Awesome staff as well.
It was cool if youre more into the grunge/ vintage look. Not a regular thrift store, definitely more pricey. But you can trade things in for equal value.
The cats running this place are the bomb. You can run into some cool stuff here, definitely bought quite a few things from Monkies that I’ve worn regularly.
Dope joint, pulled up in my 85 baby blue caprice classic and found my 1986 HBO comic relief tee
Monkies is one of the best vintage/thrift/2nd hand consignment shops in town!! Make sure to stop by, they get new stuff daily. Buy sell trade everything
Good stuff, however it can be pretty pricy.
Dropped by the other day and was quite impressed with the selection, the service, and the prices. Had no intention to buy when I went in, walked out with what may be my new favorite shirt - what looks like it may be the blouse from a late 70s, early 80s pickle suit. Righteous.
Left because they had nooses hanging as part of their decor. In 2018, they should know thats not okay.
Nice local flavor and great random hard-to-find pieces at great prices (something that is becoming harder-to-find around Austin). Stopped in with my father on Fathers Day and had a blast!
Great staff but the prices are outrageous -- its a resale shop, not really a thrift shop.
This store has nothing to do with vintage . Its a closet full of t-shirts from the 80s & 90s. Dont waste your time if youre looking for vintage as in 60s and older.
LOVE this place its a must stop every time Im in town.
Awesome clothing yet pricey. Love!
Everyone is super helpful and the prices were GREAT! Best prices in town! You wont be disappointed!
Nice shop but definitely not the vintage I was looking for.
They have the most sauce when it comes to the vintage shops around the UT campus area, plus the employees are friendly. Five stars, but go to taco bell if you need to use the restroom
Its a small store but their selection is awesome. Great place for some kick ass tees.
Awesome retro and cool clothing. Reasonably priced as well.
85-90% of the store is t-shirts, none of which are vintage. Store plays vulgar, x-rated rap that advocates rape.
Great vintage store Agnessa was friendly and helpful. Good prices too..
Little small thift shop with a neat selection!
Cute shop! Great clothing and reasonable priced.
This is not a thrift store
Needs a better location and own parking lot!
Their idea of thrift is a bunch of old t-shirts. Not work the trip
Dont bother shopping here because theres barely any parking spots or pay the meter and walk far. The store is small and nothing spectacular.
Cool stuff.
Awesome store it was small but badass
Nice cool spot
Awesome name and even better thrift store!
Cool store but way over priced
Mostly large sizes, its an alright store, the staff are not engaged with the customers which could be a good or bad thing. Lots of jackets, sweaters, and coats. Not too many bottoms. Again, most sizes are very large. If youre a small person, you wont find much here.
Wasn’t worth the hype
Small shop, very high prices for clothes that are literally falling apart
A little high priced.
Decent selection, but very expensive
Love this place!!
Description doesnt match what it is
GOAT!!
