My and husband and I were very impressed with the work these guys did. The designer came in and spent about two hours thoroughly measuring and designing our master bedroom closet and pantry/laundry room. They had a very long wait list for actual installation, but it was worth the wait. The installers were very professional and good at what they did. Everything looks great. Our organization itch was made happy. :)

Closet by Design provide exemplary services. I am pleased with the quality, timeliness and effective processes. Phillipe and his team were punctual and explained the installation plans and delivered beyond my expectations.

CBD, did a fabulous job from start to finish of our project. Our designer was very creative in utilizing all our space in our his/her closets. She was very helpful explaining the different options. The installers were professional, on time and very courteous in keeping their tools and equipment clean and clear of the work area. They cleaned up after themselves and were knowledgeable in explaining how to adjust our shelves and hanging rods. Great company and staff and very reasonable pricing.

Not Happy ! Not everything works for everyone is a global rule of thumb that is apt and true for Closets by Design. we spent around 4 Grand (3900) for a Custom walk in Master Closet. As we suffer from severe allergies, we had a need to keep our clothes nicely stored before each use. We decided to go with CBD-A versus Ikea PAX cabinets. The designer initially came home and we started something rough and we did not know they would make that the final version and all inputs given were forgotten or dissolved in the air. In my opinion these are Garage /storage quality cabinets and not purely custom and they are working with what precut sizes they already have. Aside from this, there is still some dust sneaking in and sawdust coming every time the doors are opened and closed. The shelves and Draw could have been more deeper at least where we mentioned we wanted to go with Hangers/shelves whenever we needed. We are waiting for a door and handles to be replaced and we accept that logistics issues and do not have a problem with that. we try to accept and understand that businesses have difficulties so no issues there but if if the design does not work then its not cool.we tried to reach the designer several times on the day of installation and many times after that to see what they can do for us but they seem to be caught with new customers and once done is done and you will be ignored.P.S : The Installers did a great job and were very courteous so 10/10 for them.

The closet designer we worked with did a great job to in incorporate all our requests into the design, giving us a clean, beautiful look and lots of storage and functionality. We had to wait for a good 3 months for the installation. They are pretty backed up with installation appointments. However, the installation was well coordinated with phone notifications as we got close to installation date. Workmanship and quality of the cabinets was excellent. They quickly scheduled appointments to come back and fix the one or two glitches that came up in the installation. II absolutely recommend them. I will be using their service again myself.

My laundry room renovation looks great. It cost a little more than I was expecting, but the quality makes it worth the expense. Thank you Sherrie Stoddard for your design ideas.

The closet installation was very nice work and working with the designer was a great experience - she was very knowledgeable and did a wonderful job with the design. Unfortunately, the installer caused damage to my wall. Closets by Design said they would reimburse me to have this fixed but then after I had it repaired, they refused to pay saying the repair cost was “robbery” and “unfair”. I said they should’ve found someone to repair it themselves if they didn’t like who I hired. I also suggested they at least reimburse me for an amount they thought was “fair” but they refused to do that too so it clearly was not about the cost but about them not wanting to take responsibility for their mistake.

I have always wanted book shelves in my office closet. When I saw the advertisement for Closets by Design I thought this would be the answer to my search. After a beautiful design, a reasonable quote and professional personnel both before, during and after the project I am beyond pleased with their Company. I will definitely use them again!

Experience with this company was positive. The sales person they sent to our house was helpful and understood our needs. We received feedback on pricing when she was at our house and we agreed to have the work done. The work product is good quality and the installation was flawless and on time. Nice to do business with a company that says what they are going to do then they do it.

Updated 7/14/21-The sales operations manager reached out to discuss the issues with our installation. He kindly offered to have the damage repaired although we had already repaired the walls so we could place our items back in the space. A discount was accepted and in the future we will reach out as soon as the issues arise.Emailed our consultant with no response—After such a wonderful planning consultation with you and the wait to have the closet installed, my wife and I were very excited to get everything completed and enjoy organizing our closet. Unfortunately, the installation was the very opposite of how I expected the finished product to be.The installers reminded me that there would be some areas where the walls would not be painted/ texturized from where the original shelving was removed as well as removing sections of the baseboards. I do remember us discussing this at our consultation and we chose not to include the melamine backing and we understood that there would be some areas that needed touch up paint.However, the end aesthetic was far worse than we imagined or expected. We were left with at least 2 holes in our drywall, damage that required an 8oz. container of spackle, plus 4 hours of patching and painting. I had to remove several of the installed shelves and rods to complete the repairs. I never imagined I would be disassembling the closet that we paid $5000 for. Several of the shelves had been strategically placed to cover wall damage but to me the idea of having adjustable shelves is to be able to move them as needed without exposing damage.I do want to mention that the 2 men who completed the installation were friendly but the end product was not at all what we expected after spending what we consider a size-able amount of money..

From start to finish they were very friendly and professional. They listened to our needs and wants and from there they customized our dream closet. There was a few minor hiccups along the way with product availability and being on schedule with our installation date but the communication was strong through the entire process and it never compromised our dream closet. I would definitely use them again for any future closet needs I may have.

Every step of the process with handled professionally and timely. I had 2 closets completed and both were completed without any issues. Sales Rep, Customer Service and Installers are SUPERIOR!I would suggest that if you are not removing the old hardware and making repairs to the closet prior to to the install, get the backing. I wish I would have.

We had our consulation with our rep Tracy. She was fabulous from the start. We were in awe of what they could do in our primary closet. It took a while to get our closet installed because COVID had everyone wanting closets. But once installed, our closet looks amazing,functions 100% better than before, installation was great and Closet by Design installers were super professional. We did have one little problem with a drawer, well it really wasnt a big deal but they were on top of it and came and repaired it within a couple of days. If they say they are going to be there, they show up. All of the crews have been super courteous, clean and very helpful with any questions. We loved our first install so much, we have already ordered another one and will do another after this! Use these guys, you WILL NOT be dissappointed.

Our designer Ms. Marina was outstanding. She answered all our questions and helped us design our closet. Unfortunately being a military family, sometimes we get orders or new job assignments with little to notice. That’s what happened to us. Disappointed that they do not have a military/pcs clause so not only did we have to cancel our closet being built we are out of the deposit.

We comparison shopped several vendors in the Austin area and Closets by Design had quality that was as good or better than the other vendors at far superior pricing. Highly recommend.

Design Process is lengthy due to lack of 3D CAD design capability. This is ok because I value designers layout ideas and hard work.Designer high pressure sales push, bad mouthing about other companies and failed to communicate clearly about timeline and deliverable.Got offended easily by being asked detailed questions and me talking to other providers.Changing designs without notifying us, contradictory to original agreement, without any explanations.Was only focusing on time she spent on project, asked me to stay in the project discussion while I was ready to walk away twice, got upset and pull away from the discussion twice herself.Overall a very bad experience and wasted a lot of my time. I wish I walked away from the beginning.

We are very happy with the custom cabinets that Cabinets By Design created and installed for us in our master closet. In the past, in smaller closets, I had installed simple DIY closet organizers (e.g., upper and lower hanging rods) but decided to hire CBD for this project as the closet is much bigger and we wanted drawers, something I had never done. Overall, very pleased with the results. It seems pricey until you factor in the materials and the time to install. The only downside was that they are extremely busy and so we had to wait 6 months after they made the measurements to get the cabinets installed.

They Closet by Design team was due to install my primary bedroom closet today. They were scheduled to be here between 9am - 11am,They arrived at 8:56 am, and were neat, precise and installation completed by 11:00 am! I was thrilled with their work and LOVE my new closet space! Thank you Closets by Design for having integrity and doing what you say you will do!!

The value for the money is definitely worth the wait. They were very good on communicating with us on install dates and time frames. In addition, no delays and the 2 man crew did an all around excellent job of not only installing but cleaning as well.

Juan and Roberto were our closet installers and they were so professional and personable it was a pleasure to have them in our home. They came in and went straight to work. I placed my oder in late February with Rebecca Kirby, who was a doll, it took for months for them to come because they are booked, but they were worth the wait. They came on time and did the work in a professional manner. Rebecca designed my closet just the way I wanted, Im very happy with the results, not to mentioned the price they are very affordable. I recommend them to anyone!

The design specialist conducted the inspection process, presentation of the products, and discussion of alternatives clearly and professionally. The interactions were cordial. Payment terms and methods were appropriate for a job of this size. Actual installation was done as scheduled. The installation team was professional and personable in their interactions. They worked efficiently to complete the installation on time. Although the cabinet legs (a plus up) were not included in the components provided to the installation team, they got them and returned to install them the next day. Importantly, both the design specialist and the installation team members followed appropriate COVID-19 protocols. Our experience was excellent from start to finish.

Loved Closest by Design starting with the sales rep Jadrien. She customized my small space perfectly. The special was affordable. After some time I just got my closet redone and its more than I could ever expect. The installation guys were friendly, tidy and respectful. I will be getting more quotes to maximize spaces in my home and only use Closets by Design.

We just had closets by design layout, provide, and install an entirely new closet for us. Their quality of work and the quality of the material is excellent. Their customer service and professionalism was also top notch.The only small complaint I have is how long it took to get. BUT, that being said, they came the exact day and time it was scheduled. The install date from the order date was just longer than we anticipated before we had their design.Would recommend to anyone and will probably be using them again.

This is our second time using Closets by Design. We had them redo our closet at our last home, and it was one of the first things we did after we moved. They created so much more space in our master closet and they also created this wonderful built in bookshelf area in our study (pictured). We LOVE both of them and it was worth every penny! They did each project in one day. The shelves are adjustable and each project is customizable. The desk top was a perfect match to our flooring. They care about the details too. Theres a 1 ft. spacing behind the bookshelves cabinets to run wires and cords if needed. The people were great to work with from the sales expert, to the reminder phone calls to the installers. I highly recommend them.

My wife and I replaced closet shelves and installed new cabinets in our living room. Closets by Design did a good job with designing and installing our choices. I am giving them three stars because the material is rather substandard (mostly pressed wood) and the installing crew left gaps they told me would be addressed/covered and I had to tell them to vacuum/clean debris left from the removal of the old shelves before placing foundation/base for the new design.

We had 2 of our closets made-over and we absolutely LOVE them! Our pantry is very small because its under our stairs and we now have a usable pantry with tons of space! Then our hallway closet only had a water softener in it, now it has a spot for coats and tons of storage! Love love love them both!

Closets by Design took us by surprise. We worked with Amanda Allen who was very thorough with her designs. Usually as you get coupons of this company in mail, I was expecting them to be too expensive, but they turned out to be quite reasonable (not cheap :) ). Amanda was very patient with capturing our needs and designing a perfect product for us. We wanted most of our cabinets to be closed with doors and wanted her to give us a quote based on that, in place of her earlier open design. Instead of giving us a ball park number, she immediately re-worked on her design and gave us the exact quote which made our decision making process so much more easier. The installation was extremely professional and was much faster than we expected. They cleaned up behind them and were extremely courteous. the Customer Service is one of the best I have seen. Would highly recommend them, if you plan to do a wall to wall installations.

Took over 3 months after ordering custom closet to get it installed, and then belt/tie racks were on back order! But other then that great job, installers were on time and very professional and closet looks great !

Closets by design came out and gave us a custom closet for what we were looking for inside our master closet!!! It looks amazing, they arrived early and finished within two hours. So happy we decided to do this!

We originally contracted on 29th of September 2020 and were informed of long wait even before we signed. We entered into contract fully aware of the delay it would cause to get our closets fitted. Initial installation date was set to be 28th and 29th of December and we were excited to have our closets done after 3 months of initial wait.When installers arrived there were few things missing - Bull nosed base for mud room closet, Mirror doors and crown molding for mud room closet. We were not given any good reason for why bull nosed base and crown molding were missed. Mirror doors was missed to be entered by designer. We were not given any date immediately for the remaining items and were informed that customer service would call to confirm another date. Apart from above parts, workmanship was fully not completed giving reason that we would have to come back for fitting other parts. When customer service called me to get another appointment they mentioned that they couldnt do earlier than 29th Jan. This date was given giving reason that mirror doors wouldnt arrive before this date. I checked if they are confident doors will be available on this date for which the answer was production team wouldnt give a date if they are not confident to deliver.When I got a call again a week back to confirm appointment I asked the same question to which I received same answer. From this moment, we did not hear back anything. Then when workers came in they informed that door was not available and they have no idea why it was not there. I tried to reach designer or a manager immediately to understand what is going on, but was informed that no managers are available to talk. When I asked for when to expect call back I was informed that whenever manager was available.Firstly, it is hugely disappointing that when half of the payment is deducted the moment contract is signed and rest is deducted on initial appointment date but full product is not delivered. We fully understand that COVID situation has put lot of us on stress, but there is complete lack of transparency and communication when there is a delay or items are not available. This happened on both occasions of our appointment and not just once for doors. I am not sure if this incident or experience will bring any change for other customers, but it has left a very bad experience with our family.

Over the years I have used several different closet companies in different homes, and Closets by Design are by far the best to work with. Starting with the design of my closets to installing my closets, it was the easiest and smoothest process I have ever experienced. The installers cared about their work and if something didn’t measure up correctly, they got the item ordered and fixed promptly. They cleaned up after themselves like it was their own home. I’m very happy with the service, and the price of everything was very reasonable. I will definitely use them again.

Great experience from start to finish. Our designer Valerie was awesome, attentive and lead us through picking the best configuration for our closet project. The installers were quick and professional, putting together our closet with no issues. Although not cheap, I believe you get what you pay for in this product and we couldnt be happier with the finished product.

I LOVE my new closet! The price was close to the same as a system from Home Depot that I would have to install myself. Yet the closet is way better than any that I couldve designed. My designer was able to design a system that gave me storage and more hanging room, without taking any more space. The installers were very professional and did a great job.

If you want good quality work than Closet by Design is your choice. They have been very busy lately so it is best to reach out to them immediately if you want any work done. But, at the end I was very happy with the results.

Terrible design. Install left gaping holes in the wall.My previous experience included california closet n container store elfa system installation. Both were excellent. Decided to try C b Design. Definitely do not recommend. Personally, Elfa would have been cheaper n they did not leave damaged walls which now I will have to address. Buyer beware.Post - Mike (COO) addressed our issues. We hired someone to patch the walls. Mike reimbursed us. Also, design flaw was also fixed. THANK YOU!!! Definitely they stand by their product and services.

We have put a wall cabinet system in our garage and we absolutely love the way the garage looks.The workers did a great job installing the cabinets, made recommendations for best fit where needed adjustments from the original layout .Very happy. Thank you.I will have them do out closet as well.

Workmen arrived on time. Quickly installed my new closets. My closets are now under control! The workmen were polite and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving no evidence they had been here except for my beautiful new closet interiors.

Closets by Design added so much perfection to my new condo to turn it into a place I love. There were no shelves in the hall or office closets. Now there are not only shelves practically to the 10 ceiling, but they even built a cubby hole to park the Shark vacuum. And my office, oh WOW! Bookshelves to the ceiling, 4 lateral file cabinets built in, and an L-shaped computer center and desk. The icing on the cake is the built-in 8-drawer dresser in the walk-in closet. The two installers, Felipe and Dillon, were very professional, courteous and skilled at their work. I recommend Closets by Design to anyone wanting to upgrade their house or condo.

They were quick and efficient. My wire racks would fall due to too many items. This will work much better, even for heavy coats.

She had a difficult closet to work with but managed to take advantage of a lot of wasted space and deliver lots of extra storage in addition to the hanging space we needed. Closets by Design provided a fantastic garage system From design to installation, everyone was professional and knowledgeable. I had three bids from 3 cabinet companies, and Closets by Design provided more options and outstanding value.

Closet by design is HORRIBLE company to deal with. We completely remodeled a home for our daughter and when closets by design arrived (during covid) all doors and windows in the home were open. Carpenter working on remodel, saw dust all over the floor. They arrived late. It’s summertime. Employees have No masks. Employee smells like cigarette smoke. 3 hours after arrival I reluctantly go in house to check on things (reluctant because no masks) Sure enough their employees decided they were hot so they turned on the brand new central air unit, without permission that was not completely installed yet so sawdust EVERYWHERE, all over $15,000 worth of new kitchen cabinets, freshly painted walls etc, coil froze because all windows open. Water everywhere when it later defrosted. I turned it off and asked the employees to please leave it off, then I got to see their employees attitude! When the install was complete I called to speak to a manager who was not available. The employee asked for payment and my wife told him we need to speak to Mgr about possible Ac damage first. He now gets an attitude with my wife, walks up in her face (no mask) and demands payment. She asked him to wait outside. We never signed the document they needed to run our credit card. Wanted to have Ac looked at first. Mgr assured me he’d pay Ac repair when we Finally got him on the phone. I said I still wanted to pay him after Ac repair. He said that’s fine. Next morning our credit card was charged. I called Mgr. He claimed ran credit card by mistake. Never credited card but said he’d pay for Ac repair. We have Ac repaired, was $200 We sent invoice to Mgr and no reply. We finally dispute the $200 with credit card services. We are credited the $200. Months later closets by designs runs our card a second time without permission! WOW! We had kitchen cabinets installed by Micheal Edwards and COMPLETELY different story! We should have let mr Edwards do our closets as well!!! Closets by design materials are very cheap quality. Particle board, cheap hardware, their way of securing into Sheetrock? What a joke!

Outstanding experience start to finish. Designer Valarie Reyna was completely professional. Patiently listened to our ideas and our lifestyle. Offered excellent suggestions and alternatives. Second appointment she had drawn exactly what we had discussed. Installers Jose and Ali were remarkable. Demod and installed in same day. They were very polite and careful with the walls and flooring. Extremely nice guys. Highest recommendation.

I love my new closet! Everything was great from the design consultation to the install.It was a little on the expensive side but after having it for a few weeks I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

CBD was stellar in every way! Mary took her time listened to my needs and designed a beautiful closet at our first meeting. She had all the samples and answered all my question. They were able to accommodate my crazy schedule set an installation date that worked perfect for me. I decided to tweak my design a little and Mary was quick to reply and did change orders in the spot. Heather called me twice to confirm installation. On the day of our installation Joe came over (on time I might add +++++) and was professional and respectful and did an amazing job. He had quick solutions to make everything flow and look beautiful. They were full service from beginning to end. I have such an amazing experience with them. When we are ready to do the garage we will be using CBD again. I highly recommend them to anyone needing a closet designed and installed at a great price.

We got the closet system installed in November 2017. Ms.Shane came in to take the measurements, she looked at the space, listened to our requirements and she said, with that tone of confidence I know exactly what you want. I knew what she knew that we wanted! She explained to us with diagrams. We made an appointment and went into the showroom, my husband and I were extremely impressed with their courteousness, the ability to explain and we were even given a tour of their workshop. Installation was a breeze. They cleaned up everything after. We are very very happy with this system. We loved working with them.

I now have a beautiful, functional office. The sales rep did a great job of planning with me and the installers were excellent!
