I purchased my wedding gown at a sample sale and was referred by the boutique to see Kira, the best tailor in Austin. They were 100% right about that because I could not be happier with how I looked and felt on my wedding day! The reoccurring compliment from our guests and vendors was that dress looks like it was made for you and I truly felt like it was. Kira is so professional and thorough throughout the entire process and was always a joy to be around! Thank you for turning the dress into my dream dress - it was absolutely perfect! And so was that french/ballroom bustle ;)

Kira did a fantastic job! She was so nice to work with and very accommodating. She had some work to do with my dress having many layers and me being so short! She also did a great job on making the beaded straps shorter as well. My dress fit so well and look beautiful the day of my wedding.

Kira helped me in a pinch when my initial tailor would not accommodate the adjustments I wanted for my wedding dress. I was so stressed out and a week before leaving for my destination wedding called Kira, and within two days she had made the adjustments that I needed to feel comfortable in my dress. She worked with me and made sure I got what I wanted. Would definitely recommend!

Kira did such a beautiful job altering my wedding dress. When I first got the dress is was HUGE. She made it fit like a glove, added straps, shortened the train, and added a slit, all the while being very patient with me and putting up with me changing my mind every few days. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Kira is the best. I purchased a dress that didnt fit me well in many ways, but I loved it and was determined to make it work. She made some great suggestions on how we could adjust it, did several fittings with me, and it now fits perfectly. Thanks so much, Kira!

I have used Kira Kouture for all my bridal alteration needs. My wedding dress and two bridesmaids dresses were tailored perfectly to me. She is so patient and talented! I even found a pretty lace bralette she made for my best friends bridal gift.

Kira did an incredible job altering my wedding dress! It was long, big, and I wanted to customize the sleeves. When I took my dress home after alterations, it fit like it was made specifically for me. She is very knowledgeable and a joy to work with.

I had an ok experience at Kira Kouture - and it makes me sad to write this review as I can only imagine how hard it is to alter wedding dresses. I will start this review by saying I spent around $600 at her shop and had to resort to a new seamstress to finish the alterations.I was referred to Kira from Unbridaled (where I purchased my wedding dress) and she was very quick to respond to my request. Like many others, Ive never had a wedding dress altered and I knew when picking out my dress that I would need pretty specific alterations done in the bust area. My very first visit with Kira, I tried on my dress and immediately pointed out the area I wanted fixed (I wanted the bust area to look more natural and to take out some of the material). She seemed baffled I wanted to make that type of change to the dress and I started to feel like I was asking too much. We then took some measurements to take in the dress and add the bustle (Kira did a great job with the bustle)!I then went in for my second fitting & was grateful to Kira as I had written down the wrong day for the appointment but she was flexible to re schedule! I tried on the dress & still didnt feel great about the bust area - but didnt feel comfortable saying anything. The bustle looked great but the dress itself was still pretty baggy (its a form fitting dress that should be very tight). We made a few more changes and I was set to pick it up the following week. During my final and 3rd fitting, I tried on the dress and it still felt kind of big. I mentioned that to Kira and she assured me thats okay as I dont want it to be too tight on my wedding day. I felt kind of rushed to get out of her shop as it was well after 5 PM so I paid the final payment, took my dress, and was done.Well... a few days later I decided to try on my dress at home and found myself in tears. The dress was baggy, the straps were falling off & the bust area made me want to cringe. I then sent over an email to Kira letting her know how I felt. During the time between my email to her and her response - I started looking into other places to go here in Austin. I found a seamstress very quickly who assured me she could help with the bust area, take out the wiring, and take in my dress. Kira then responded back to me letting me know she wanted to help fix my dress but she isnt surprised Im not happy with the boob part, thats the story of her life with that dress. I just wish she would have told me that when I came in.Ive now been able to get the dress completely altered to how I wanted it, got the wiring removed from the bust area, and it has been taken in a few more inches - and all for under half the price Kira charged me.Kira has a great business and shes very diligent in her work - I wish her the best!
