AMAZING 👏🏾.....I bought SO MANY great books there and you are able to use your Amazon Prime membership to get the best price. There are other things to buy that are Apple or Alexa related on one side of the store as well. Great place.

Nice store, but I miss the staff picks and local favorites you find at full service book stores. Featured items had mixed/poor reviews online. Nothing overly negative - just not the bookstore experience. Will continue to patronize local book sellers.

First time going in to an Amazon books store. Pretty nice set up, books marked reasonably, a little high but I was at the Domain location in Austin so the prices were as expected. I did like that when I dropped off my Amazon returns, I received a coupon for 10% off any same day purchase. Same day was the downside of that- of it had been for a future purchase, that would have been phenomenal and Id definitely have been back by now.

Friendly place with some interesting novelties on display, and some books. I dont know how they decide what to stock, considering the best selection available on Amazon proper. Worth a browse if you are in the area.

Perfect one stop gift shopping store. They have books, cookbooks, toys, tool books, games, electronics and Amazon gift cards. You can also use your Amazon gift card here in store.I also love that their book recommendations are based on data and reviews. If you like A you ‘re likely to like these. That makes book selecting much easier. And it’s very unlikely to find a terrible book if it has thousands reviews and still maintains a 4.5+ rating.If Best Buy is amazon’s show room, Amazon Books can be public library’s show room. But there’s still advantages to buy books in store- - you don’t have to wait! In Austin Public Liberty system, if you want to borrow a book, you checked it online and it says it’s in a certain location, you drive their, find the shelf, the book still may or may not be there. If you place a hold in the public library system, it can take them days if not weeks till the book is finally waiting for you to pick up. And buying books in a book store it’s fresh clean and new.

All items in the store have a 4-star rating and above, however this store is more of an interesting place to visit rather than a place to shop. Theres lots of books and it makes an effective bookstore, and you can actually hold and experience Amazon hardware (kindle, e-readers, etc) and listen to headphones and speakers, which is something you cant do online.

Overall very limited selection. If youre going to go to a big book store, Id recommend B&N or 1/2 Price instead. Terrible selection of comics, and overall they should just shut the place down.

Located in the North Domain district in Austin, it’s pretty much a typical bookstore with a handful of other merchandise, including amazon tablets, echoes etc. See my photos for some examples of what they have. It’s mostly books though. One benefit is that you can use the Amazon app on your phone to pay.

As the associate explained to me, they carry an assortment of highly user ranked products. The inventory also changes weekly as products rank higher online or fall out of favor.There is a large area of childrens books with titles such as Curious George and Bob The Builder gracing the walls. There are also regional favorites where publications related to Austin reside.Have the MCAT or SAT test coming up in your near future? Grab a study guide here.Parking was simple and plentiful on the day I visited. I parked on the 3rd floor of the parking garage nearest the highest office building just across the street.Minus one star for lack of wow factor, its just another retail store trying to be different but missing the mark.

I was able to return a mailed product for a refund, the employees were very helpful.

Went recently, there was no one in there so I got to browse in peace alone while the employees did their thing. They have a small selection of books, mainly bestsellers or trending books. They had a few that I was looking for. Great prices since they match amazons online price.

I love this concept. The books are all front facing which is visually pleasing. It’s a small bookstore but it’s filled with top rated books. Prime members use the Amazon app to check prices and checkout is a breeze being able to use the card on file through the Amazon app. For non prime members, it’s still easy. Just check out traditionally.

I was surprised but pleased to see Amazon open a physical book store. The furnishings and atmosphere are very high-end. The selection was excellent. They had book displays related to the Amazon web site such as most wished for. They had games, smart home, and Kindel items as well. With Amazon Prime, you get the same price as the Amazon web site.

Everyone is super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I love coming in here to check out the latest Amazon tech.

I was surprised at how much I liked this store, but I guess I shouldnt be. It combines some of the best aspects of a brick and mortar bookstore (being able to physically browse and discover books, being about to flip through a book youre considering to see if youd really like it) with some of the best aspects of Amazon (curation of selection via customer popularity data online, proportion of reviewers who rate an item 5 stars). I was also surprised at how much non-book stuff I saw for sale, but again I probably shouldnt have been since you can order just about anything on Amazon.Things that would make this store better:- A coffee shop (one of my other favorite aspects of brick and mortar stores)- An easy way to check more rating info about books from the Amazon website, apart from manually navigating to the site on your phone and searching for the item (there might be one that I missed)

It’s a bookshop but it’s not just a bookshop. The difference is that they only have a limited selection of books which are placed on the shelves the way the Amazon web would display a book list in tiles. Also before each book is a review about that book. Browsing around here feels like browsing books online. The shop also sells kindles and other Amazon devices which you normally would not be holding on your hands to “feel” them before buying.

Great little store a lot of fun.

This is an odd little store. Limited selection of a bunch of different things. Fun to look through and a good place to look for a gift. Amazon knows what is good though, even with the limited selection, in each category I found multiple options that I wanted or would give as a gift. It was actually hard to choose what to buy because of it. In fact we saw several more items on the way out and almost went back for more. Dont go here looking for something unique or peculiar, but if you need a decent selection of gifts all in one place this is a great place to start.

Amazon did it, retail store front. While books are primary here you can also find Kindles, fire tablets, and Alexa accessories. There are also a decent selection of Bose items and various other games and house hold items including some you may already be purchasing via Amazon basics. Prime members can use their discounts here, and you can pay via your Amazon account with you Amazon app. If youre in the area its worth dropping by.

It is so nice to walk in a bookstore and just browse. The people in the store really helpful and there was very little I needed to do to return a package to Amazon and since they carry only the top rated books very interesting browsing.I picked 2 books and aFirestick.

A great place to regain some composure in the heart of the frenetic Domain! The selection of books isnt huge, but its well thought out and browsing is easy. There are a few non-book items as well, so treat yourself!

First time in the store and was told that items with a 4 star rating or higher are displayed at the store. Its possible, but my main interest was the book section. Great place to see what people are reading this days. Ended up purchasing the city guide to Terry Pratchetts Disk World series.

And my favorite part of coming here is how insanely easy it is to do an Amazon return here. Just show up with your app/email with the QR code and the product all they do is scan it and youre done, literally a 15 second transaction.

Very Amazon. Clean cut, streamlined, professional, state of the art, clean with all the latest book releases across genres-- and the latest Amazon Alexa tech on display. Very modern. No homey feel at all, but quite nice. For comfy and homey, I recommend Half Price Books (where I work 😉)

Visited the store to check it out as it was nearby and we live at Domain. The sales person (dont know his name but he was wearing 2 earrings on each ear and had like 4 inch high hair held onto gel) was kind of rude. We wanted to use our prime benefits which needed us to scan from our amazon app. The person kept on repeating the same incorrect information in a rude tone and did not bother to help. Eventually, we ourselves figured out the right way to do it. I like Amazon for its great customer service. I guess this was just a single example of a bad apple enough to ruin the positive experiences we had so far with Amazon.

Love it! A lot of variety

The Amazon Bookstore is an interesting study in product placement and human psychology. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to walk into Amazon dot com, then this is the place for you. There is no shortage of Amazon staff, but theyre not there to upsell you anything in particular (except they do ask you if youre a Prime member). They greet you, and you just kind of amble around aimlessly. Just like on the dot com, theres no shortage of things that make you want to cli- well, pick them up. The store is arranged the way Amazon displays their online products, complete with a review of each item displayed. There is even a section dedicated to Amazon recommendations, which I think might be the coolest thing yet.Of course, I should mention that you can absolutely shop here if youre not a Prime member, but if you are an avid reader, its not a bad deal. There are price checkers throughout the store that tell you the MSRP and Amazons price. The checkout process is also super cool. If you ARE a Prime member, then you can either pay with the Amazon app or a card you have used to purchase items on the dot com. I love that I never have to pull out my wallet!

I love this store, their staff is the best! As soon as you walk in there will be someone to greet you and ask if you need anything. If you need to return something on Amazon I highly recommend doing it here, the staff at the door will pick it up the second you walk in and you will be good to go. I also love to come here to see their best sellers and just explore what products they have. I go very often since there is always something new to see. Great place to get gifts!

You can pickup your orders, make returns, and buy new items here. It is great that you do not have to wait for things to be shipped all the time and nice that you can drop off items for return and get what you need. Staff is friendly and helpful. Usually the street parking is full and there are plenty of nearby garages.

They have all the top rated books. It feels like stepping into the website. You dont need to be a amazon prime member, but you get 20-40% off cover prices if you have prime. They can automatically verify your account with your credit card you use for purchases! Super easy if you love books

Small selection. Stick to online with Amazon. If youre a Prime member, you get the same discounted prices at the store but the selection is small. Good for some gifts that are not books. A smattering of this and that. Good for a return but why open a store for that?
