Great selection of bourbon and scotch, as well as other liquors youd expect to find. They also have a good selection of hard to find beers too. The owner is super friendly and will chat it up with you too.

The Oak Liquor Cabinet is an excellent locally owned liquor store with a very knowledgeable and helpful staff! The owner is always looking to help out if you need suggestions or if youre looking to try something new. Also, they have frequent tastings of new or interesting new additions to the store which is where Ive found my recent favorite Bourbon and this great bottle of wine. They might not have the largest selection but, everything they offer has been tried and tested to be amazing.-Shaun

10 STARS!!!!!!!!!! There aren’t enough stars for this place. When you see a place mentioned over and over again on web forums it must be good. So glad I finally made it there a few weeks ago. By far the BEST experience I’ve ever had in a liquor store. Raj is so kind and friendly. I was there for 2 hours just talking about whiskey (and also rum, brandy, and craft beer). Raj greeted every single person that walked in by name. I missed the tasting event a week earlier but he offered them to me anyway. For a store owner to personally offer samples and take the time to tell you about them is rare these days. He has the most ‘store-pick’ whiskeys I’ve ever seen in one place, and they are all truly fantastic!! Even made a new friend that day. Great place, incredible service, and reasonable prices. Tell/take all your friends!!! Always drink responsibly.

This is pretty much the best independently owned liquor store in Central Texas. Phenomenal selection. The owner and proprietor really knows his stuff and goes to great lengths to procure the best whiskey variety that Ive seen in a very long time. Definitely worth the drive, no matter where your journey begins.

Highly knowledgeable owner, who was incredibly helpful finding some harder to get items not available elsewhere in the area. Very wide variety of products, and there were 2 tastings while I visited. Ill come back here before I go anywhere else!

I have to say, its a little pricey. But, as long as you are not a big drinker and you want to support a local business, come here.The owner is really friendly, the selection of liquor is very satisfying.My husband went there a few times, the owner remembers him and talks to him like a friend. Theres a particular item my husband likes but the store didnt have it, then few weeks later the store has it in stock just for my husband.

Doesnt have quite the square footage of Specs, but seems to have at least as good of a selection of hard-to-find liquors and American craft beers. If you dont see a particular rare favorite, just ask: if they dont have it in back, Im confident theyll try to get it. Slightly afraid to bring attention to this place if it means more eyes on the exotic selection, but theyve earned 5 stars!

Ive been going here for over 8 years now…if you’re into good bourbon or scotch you need to check this place out! Without a doubt Raju has the best bourbon selection that Ive seen in Austin, and if you’re a regular and there’s something he doesnt have he typically finds a way to get it. Raj hosts multiple tastings and events each week which many times include high end bourbons, scotch, or boutique Irish whiskies. Ive even been fortunate enough to have attended an Angel’s Envy bourbon blending event where we tasted and ranked different blends and selected the custom blend that was bottled exclusively for Oak Liquor Cabinet.
