Elias is the BEST!! He recommended and opened.y eyes to a variety of wine. The issue I was shaving was getting an allergic reaction when I drink wine because of the tannins. He recommended a few options. I TRUSTED him and bought his recommendation. They were incredible, delicious, and the best part- I did NOT have an allergic reaction.Elias is amazing and I love this place. π

Staff have serious attitude problem. I made a purchase today and asked if they had a bag and the clerk said something to the effect of what kind of question is that? Would have been 1 star but Ill give them another solely because of the convenience of their location. If you can avoid it and go somewhere else I recommend you do so.

This place has a friendly, helpful staff and I always enjoy my visit to this store . They give me special attention and make sure I am able to find what Im looking for . Ive also found many great deals on wine (delicious bottles for $10-$25 bucks! ) and love the variety of tequila that they have .
Their selection of liquor is great, but if you want specialty beers youve come to the wrong place. The staff is cool. Funny guys that always have something interesting to say.

Would give this place negative stars if I could. Worst customer service Iβve ever experienced. The cashier overheard my coworker ask me if I was planning on sharing with the rest of the team as we were on our way to a work event. Suddenly she βwasnβt comfortableβ selling to me and refused to let me buy anything. This was immediately after she had just sold to a blind homeless man who approached the counter and told her to give him anything. She told me to try another liquor store so I asked if she knew where the nearest one was to which she snapped back βdonβt you have a smart phone.β I have never before been refused to purchase alcohol and couldnβt believe a rundown store with homeless urine all over it has room to turn away revenue from two obviously over the legal age working professionals.
This Twins is located in the old Dans Liquors building, and is one of the few spots in Austin that has retained an old Austin vibe. Considering that Austin is constantly changing and rapidly losing the local color that made it unique, its nice to find a place like this Twins location.Ive been here a few times, and have always had friendly, prompt service each time. Austins retail and service industry has a huge problem with providing consistently good customer service, so it is always a relief to find a business that provides it in spades.In fact, I went in right before Christmas for a few bottles, and like most people, I only have the absolute bare minimum knowledge of wine and spirits. Despite getting a B in my wine tasting class that covered every beer, wine, and hard liquor imaginable back in 2006, I always seem to need a little help in choosing quality bottles.The staff here is extremely patient and very knowledgeable, and despite the fact that the store was swarming with other last-minute holiday shoppers, they spent nearly an hour helping me choose bottles for very picky and discerning friends and family.I definitely think this Twins deserves better than two stars, because the service and selection are top-notch.
