I went in to Bead It with a pair of handmade beads by an artisan from New Mexico. I told the woman behind the counter what I wanted and she made a pair of earrings right there on the spot and I walked out wearing them. Perfect!

Great fun & funky bead store. They have a great selection of unique pieces in addition to the basics for jewelry making. The staff is always so nice and helpful. The staff makes pretty jewelry that they sale in store and there’s a few antique silver and turquoise pieces. They offer classes too although I haven’t done any yet. There loyalty punch card is a nice little bonus. A must stop if you make jewelry or enjoy unique jewelry.

Ive passed this shop many times and finally got a chance to pop in today. What a delightful surprise! Theyve got rooms full of all sorts of beads, cord, and other supplies for jewelry-making, some beautiful custom-made jewelry, and they offer classes. I found everything I needed there, and everyone was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend stopping by!

A nice little store but in my opinion the prices are a little high. I went in looking for beads to make 5 planetary bracelets, I was interested in just single beads and the price ran up to near 90 dollars. I held off on buying them because I wanted to check the prices online. I was able to get strands of beads instead of singles for about the same price, so Im able to make 18 bracelets instead of 5.

If you have a creative mind, these people will help you make some really nice stuff. Very kind staff will answer all your questions

I stop here when Im visiting Austin, as its much better (and more affordable) than what I have access where I live. The selection is great, including really nice quality semiprecious stones and eclectic other things (plus findings, thread/wire, etc.), and the employees are friendly and helpful. I get lots of compliments on the jewelry that Ive made from the beads at this shop.

Its all about selection and they certainly have it! The layout is easy to navigate and everything is very well organized. The women who work here are an absolute delight. My only criticism is the variety of tools available. I wish they had more sets and maybe some more affordable options, but otherwise I am in love with Bead It!

Seriously, whats not to love about this place? It is PACKED with beads and other assorted bits of awesomeness. The people who work here are all so friendly and talented. I almost always get in a long chat with someone working here, and I get great ideas from them. And the selection of stuff is incredible. I go in periodically to buy beads and supplies when I buy a new pendant or something. Ive never attended a class here, but if I didnt have an unhealthy dread of small talk with strangers, I wouldnt hesitate to try one! And they also have craft jewelry for sale for those who dont want to make something. Great for gifts!!! Check it out!

The staff at Bead It are SO helpful! They are my go-to place for fast, affordable & quality jewelry repair. While they have repaired, restrung or customized many things for me in the past, it was a recent encounter that really touched me: they recently restrung my Grandmothers necklace - on my birthday - in a few hours - so I could wear it to her memorial...It made a hard day so much better. Fab bead store in Austin with an abundance of beads,findings and other interesting little gems. Dont let the outside fool you....what looks like a small space actually houses rooms full of a bead shoppers delights!

Poor customer service, couldnt give meaning of different rocks and got annoyed when I asked. Payed do get Individually wrapped silk bracelet, got hand measurement wrong and made too small of knots, so all of the beads are sliding around. .

Im not into this kind of thing but my girlfriend wanted to go. The only thing I can say is that if beads are your thing then this place is your heaven. Nice staff!

Great for making a one of a kind piece in shop, or to find focal pieces or beads for jewelry. The chains are kind of expensive if your looking to make a lot of jewelry yourself as a designer. They have craft nights, which i havent attended, but they sound great for beginners.

I absolutely love this place. I am a new amateur jewelry maker and this store is fantastic. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful. I always leave feeling inspired, and the quality supplies have helped inspire gorgeous pieces. Also the antique and vintage pieces are to die for.

I was very impressed with Bead It yesterday. Tabitha went above and beyond to help me (a jewelry newbie) learn how to restring a necklace and fix another broken one. She even brainstormed with me on what to do to combine two other necklaces that I no longer wear. I get to bring new life into them! I didnt know that was possible. I also loved the craft room! I will be back.

Terrible experience. Bought a $7 bead and the drilling was so close to the top, it broke. Brought in the show store and thought I would easily get a replacement and instead they said they could give me a discount- 10%. Clearly it was a defective bead.

Bead It will surprise you. They have SO MUCH in that little store. I always find everything I’m looking for as well as as a few things that inspire me to start a new project. Really friendly staff as well, and I love that you can buy as little or as much as you need.

Not sure what the issue was when I went in today, I had a simple request for .925 sterling silver earrings hooks. I waited patiently for my turn, and an employee skipped over me waiting in line not just once, but three times, in order to ring up other customers. I just kept standing there waiting, wondering if I was invisible, even though I knew the one employee knew I needed help. Finally another employee came out from the back and I was able to get her attention. I hate feeling rude or pushy, but I really sadly felt ignored today.Left with my few items I needed, but not feeling like I ever want to go back there :(

Beads arent always drilled through evenly. They used to drill on site, but I heard they dont do that anymore so I cant get them to fix the holes that end up being too small for me to use.
