Great guys, great location. Ryan helped me out and did an amazing job. Been here twice, once to replace a windshield and once for a chip repair. Both times they got me in and out quickly and did awesome work. Geico steered me towards Safelite Auto which Ive used before and was fine, but its difficult to get an appointment with them right away (important when youre worried a crack may spread). I keep coming back to JRD and will for years to come. Highly recommended.

JRD is a professional, well run business and I highly recommend them. This is the second windshield they’ve replaced for me, and both times their customer service was fantastic. It was easy to get the replacement ordered on the phone and installed two days later, quick and simple.

I got to go to JRD because my State Farm agent recommended it to me. I just got a 2018 Chevy Silverado in immaculate conditions and this weekend got a rock chip on my windshield. It looked nasty (see picture). I went to JRD without an appointment and Ryan took my truck right in and did a wonderful job in repairing it to the point that it is almost invisible (to the point that I am not able to take a picture of it with my phone). I was ecstatic that my truck looks nice again. Thanks guys I will come back again if I get another rock chip!

We got lucky with this unassuming windshield repair shop.Scheduling was easy, the repair was quick (with all hands on deck it took 20 minutes!! They said around 1 hour is standard) and the checkout process was smooth and efficient. You can always tell when a place is locally owned instead of a chain. The value and service were top notch.

They replaced my rear windshield. The Chrysler dealership quoted me $800. This group did the job for half that in less than an hour. Dealerships don’t replace glass, they contract the jobs out meaning you have to pay two people instead of just one. The dealership said it could take a couple of days to get it done. This group did the job professionally in an hour while I waited! I didn’t have to get a rental car or spend an entire day at a dealership! These guys are fantastic and very friendly and professional. Highly recommend them!

A rock hit my windshield last week and I saw the crack getting bigger and bigger by the day. I came here and asked them to patch it up so it didn’t take over my entire windshield. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. So far, it looks good. Really nice guys. I would come back here.

These folks were quick, next-day and under an hour quick. They moved my txtag and registration without asking or blinking an eye. Friendly and masked for covid. Dont bother with the web contact form, just call them and consider this problem solved. Two days later, I hope youll be copying this review in your own words...

Took the car in to get a windshield replaced and my interior roof was damaged.The worst part about this particular situation was that no one said anything.I got in the car, started driving home, and noticed the damage. I immediately turned around, went back, and asked them what happened.The employee I spoke with was rather offended when I asked what happened and more so when asked why no one said anything before giving the car back.Their response, call the owner.The owner was contacted.I will this update this review with the resolution.Update:Owner called within an hour of leaving a message at the location, apologized for the negligence of the employees, and will pay for the repair to the cars interior in full.1 week update.The plastic cover (passenger side) that ensures that the window stays attached to the car started flapping in the wind.Going to have to go back to them to fix another mistake...right after I get back from round rock to get the interior repaired--the first mistake.

Thank you for repairing my windshield on the spot in 15 minutes. I was driving through Giddings an hour before I stopped by and was behind a trailer that threw a rock onto my windshield. The rock made a star pattern in the windshield. The repair was made quickly, efficiently, and was reasonably priced. Thanks for taking care of this so the star didnt turn into a major crack.

This team is great to work with. We had a bit of an issue with my windshield replacement and they resolved it, were very responsive and provided excellent service. Things happen sometimes and the best measure of a company is how they resolve issues. Id definitely work with them again.

Process was painless and the results near immediate. I got the car back within an hour and a half of dropping it off. I chose to drop it off instead of a house call because time was an issue (I needed it ASAP) so they had a spot for me onsite within an hour or so of the call. The service was expeditious and the rate was to be expected for complete windshield replacement ($269 total). Although I hope to not have to replace another windshield anytime soon, Ill return to JRD Windshield if I have a need to.

I suggest anyone that has a cracked or broken windshield go here.

I had a rock chip my windshield and it immediately stared. I dropped in to JRDs and the guy there was awesome! He got to me right away and fixed the chip! I had been quoted previously $65 by two other places and I would have had to make an appointment a couple days out, but JRD got me in as soon as I pulled up and only charged $50! These guys are awesome!If you have a chip in your windshield, get over to JRDs right away and get it fixed before it spreads! Highly recommended!

Noticed a small windshield crack in my new-to-me car, briefly shopped around and ended up going by JRD due to quick and convenient service at one of the best prices. Jeremy took a look and told me although noticeable, it had been previously repaired w/o threat of expanding. He offered to repair it but told me it wasnt necessary. Its tough finding good honest service, gotta give them credit for the professional, knowledgeable experience rather than earning a buck. Hopefully I wont need them but these guys get my business if I ever do.

Jeremy is fantastic and I cant believe people still do business like this! I had a chip repaired in my windshield about 6 months ago and was impressed with the quality of his work. So when I had another incident last week I knew where to go. Unfortunately this was a much larger chip (about the size of a quarter) and I was afraid I needed to replace the whole windshield.Jeremy came out and advised me that I probably needed to replace it but he could give it a try if I wanted. He was very clear that it wouldnt look as good as the previous repair because it was such a large and complex crack, but I figured it was still better than replacing the whole thing. Well, it turned out looking pretty good to me and best thing yet, Jeremy told me no charge! His service was incredibly quick and the repair looks fantastic given what the original crack looked like. I just cant get over how great Jeremy is at his work and what great customer service he provides. I am a customer for life!

Requested a quote today via the website - got a quick response and a quote right away... Called them later in the afternoon and asked if I could come in the next 5-10 mins and they were very accommodating. They were able to fix my two small cracks/chips in my windshield in about 30 minutes. Plus, they were $95 cheaper than what Safelite was wanting to charge me. Would recommend JRD for a quick and nice chip repair.Side note - their space is a little intimidating as its not very well put together, so initially I was a bit skeptical.. but they got it done and I was very happy with the results.

I have had these guys out a few times to fill small cracks. I had them come and replace a windshield this past week. The entire process was great. Communication with Jeremy and the repair folks was outstanding. The whole thing took two days from the time I called until the windshield was replaced. Considering that the windshield had to come from the dealer, thats incredible turnaround. These guys are the best in town.

These guys are great! No one ever wants to deal with car breakins, but JRD at least made the window replacement seamless. They were able to come by while I was at work and fix the window in a really short amount of time. Very price reasonable too.

Additionally, he gave me a business card to have my windshield repaired in the future for the same discounted rate. And he repaired another crack I had overlooked (which was deeper than the first one) for free! Couldnt ask for better customer service and repair.

Last couple rains we have had water on the floor board of my wifes car. Called JRD and said I need the windshield reset and resealed. They came out and before doing work, water tested the windshield. Turns out it was not windshield but sunroof. These guys are fantastic and their due diligence saved me a lot of money for a fix that would not have solved my problem.Thank you JRD for approaching the problem with honesty and expertise. Found a Groupon for a window chip repair. Pulled up and they had me on the road again in 15 minutes. Very fast, friendly, and did a better job than another company I had used for chips in the past. Ill be back with my wifes car next.

Honestly I am incredibly happy with my service at JRD Windshield Repair. The customer service was amazing. The two young gentlemen immediately started to work on fixing 3 chips. One of them kept saying Dont worry maam, we have got you covered. Quality work- barely visible after they fixed them! Unable to break down the wiper assembly, I pulled out my toolbox and did this on their behalf. Latch for the hatchback was broken during the repair, blamed on age of vehicle.On the upside, the technician was very polite, and quite prompt. Front office was very friendly and quoted a reasonable price.

My insurance company had JDR replace my windshield. After replacement, trim was torn on window and around edges- and Cody blamed this on my car sitting out in the sun for years- yet my car is garaged. He said he would replace the trim as a favor to me in a week. 3 weeks later we still had not heard anything until we called our insurance company today to complain and amazingly Cody called within minutes. He was extremely rude, interrupting constantly and unsurprisingly made me feel like he was the customer. Would not recommend this company to anyone. I have had my windshield replaced many times and never have been treated so poorly. Unfortunate.

Attentive and friendly service. When installing my new windshield, there was a mistake when replacing the rear view mirror. JRD was quick to respond to the mistake and fixed it right away.

Very unhelpful store employee. I came by with my RV, but employee was unwilling to repair my Windshield because he said it was too high off the ground and he did not have a ladder. In reality I could touch the spot standing up quite easily. There was a concrete block that he could stand on, but he refused to do it and was very unhelpful. In reality, it seems that he just didn’t want to do the work because it was towards the end of the day.

Had my Kia Soul windshield chip repaired here a few months ago, State Farm took care of it, and Jeremy did a great job. I gave him 5-stars today not because of that repair though, but because went by today with what I thought was another chip on my pre-owned Audi, but Jeremy was able to diagnose as already being repaired and did not try to upsell me on anything unnecessary. I appreciate the honesty and will take all my future business to him!

I booked an appointment to have my windshield replaced at JRD. My wife & I both took time off of work to get our vehicle in. After we dropped it off and both returned to work, we got a call letting us know they werent going to be able to do the work as promised. I will NEVER use these guys again. There are too many other local glass repair shops in Austin that care about customer service.
