It TOTALLY SUCKED. THEY Refused to repair my windshield... and they had a VERY unpleasant attitude towards their customers. Id much rather purchase my own windshield on my ownNever going back to Safelite.

This place has become way overpriced. I had my windshield replaced here in 2018 for $260, which seemed a little high, but pretty reasonable. They did a decent job, though rust appeared shortly after around the molding where they scratched through the paint. After a large rock destroyed that windshield three years later I looked into getting another replacement here. The price for the same windshield, with the discount was now $380! Plus the soonest appointment was 3 weeks out. No thank you. I researched some local glass business and found one with better (and more) reviews who could get me in the next day. They quoted me $180 with an additional $20 if my trim needs replacing, so basically half the cost of what Safelite is currently charging.Additionally, you cant even call to make an appointment here anymore. You have to do it all online. I guess Safelite is doing well for themselves because theyre booked solid and charge an arm and a leg, but I wouldnt recommend giving them your business. Theyve become the typical automotive repair industry chain overcharging people who have seen their commercials but dont know any better.

Had an appointment and drove all away across town to take car in only to find out when we got there they didn’t have the parts they needed. This appointment was scheduled 4 weeks in advance. At no time did they ever call us to tell us they didn’t have the parts and made no attempt to explain why they hadn’t ordered them and have only empty apologies.This place sucks.

These folks are awesome! Just stay out of the 8:00 and 5:00 traffic! The Safelite people were courteous and helpful, very professional, AND did top quality work!!!

I called them several times to get some information about replacing the windshield on my car to no avail. Their outgoing message is very limited in the options it provides, and when you finally get to a point when youre supposed to be put on hold for a live agent, it disconnects! If its so difficult to get them on the phone, then how can I be sure theyll take care of me if I have issues after they provide me the service Im seeking?!

Sent there by my insurance company, but other than being booked up for several weeks and having to wait for an appointment they were terrific. Very professional, communicated every step of the process, replaced my windshield in an hour and it was done perfectly.

Initial wait time was over a month for replacement, then that appointment was pushed out another week because the wrong part was ordered. However wasn’t notified till an hour before they closed for the day on that matter even though it had been dropped off at seven that morning.Attempting to call the business is a waste of time and when getting connected to a sister location and informing them I was trying to get ahold of this address, I was literally told ‘Good luck with that’.Once the job was complete (well done) and I was attempting to pick up the vehicle, an additional 15 minutes was wasted on trying to find my ‘lost paperwork’ on the car that had been fixed just a few hours ago.The actual replacement was done well, but the service as a whole ensured I will not be using this location or recommending it ever in the future.

The tech claimed the forward facing camera was broken and had 6 error codes and to take the car to the dealership. The dealership informed that the Safelite tech didnt turn on the lane assist feature that they were working on. Upon discussion with the Safelite assistant manager, he called to explain that Safelite were in fact correct, would not discount their service for their mistake, and they would turn the car away the next day if we brought it back in since the dealership didnt repair it correctly.I find it hard to believe that Safelite auto glass is better at diagnosing a vehicle than the actual dealership.We were also warned by the Acura dealership that this particular Safelite location is notorious for insisting on putting on 3rd party windshields that do not work with lane assist and other windshield tech. This means that you end up needing to buy another OEM windshield, on your own dime, since the insurance claim is fulfilled with the 3rd party windshield. Upon inquiry to Safelite, that is also true. Therefore the advice is to ensure they use an OEM windshield if you have a car with windshield tech features.TLDR: If you have lane assist or other features reliant on your windshield, bring it to a dealership and dont waste your time with these stubborn mules.

I came here to replace my windshield after it was damaged by hail. The new glass looks fine so they got the job done. It took only around an hour.However, they messed up my rear view mirror and it will no longer hold its position. Not a big deal, but I’ll have to get that fixed somewhere else because I refuse to come back here. The man at the front was extremely unfriendly.When I came in to drop my keys off, I greeted him twice and he just stared at me with a blank, almost annoyed expression. Took his sweet time to respond to anything I asked too, as if I was bothering him. Maybe he forgot he was at work? He was older, overweight, and over-tanned. You’ll know.He made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, never said thank you or anything when I left, he only said what he absolutely had to. I had a good first impression with Safelite because the tech that came out to assess the damage was super friendly. I’m not sure what this guy’s issue was.Sadly, this fella soured my initial impression and I’ll never choose Safelite again. Plenty of other places can replace a windshield, but friendly service is how you keep a customer. Byeee!

The tech was supposed to meet at our office.We were watching for him but we were with clients so could not look at our phones.The guy parks in a small car next to our car out of our view and where we could not see the Safelite signs on his car.He just looked like a guy in a car in a parking lot full of cars.We were looking for a white utility vehicle like one sees on t.v.He never got out of his car, he never came to our door to let us know he was there.And since they give you a window of time that they will be there, we cant stand out in the parking lot from there to five, hoping he shows up closer to three.He sent a text, but we cant have our phones when we are with clients.Our plan was, when we saw a Safelite person at our door, or standing by our car, in uniform, I was going to excuse myself and go meet with him, while my wife stayed with the clients.We told the clients that I would step out for a bit as soon as I Saw the Safelite guy show up.We feel like the man never made an effort.He just pulled up in a tiny car, stickers not viewable from our vantage point, sent a text, sat there for a short time, and then left us hanging.It is definitely not the happy, friendly, bright smiling person in a big white Safelite shiny utility vehicle van you see on the commercial.I was truly disappointed that we missed out on our service and had to reschedule another appointment without even knowing if the next person who shows up will put out any more effort than the last guy.Will he be in a truck, van, small car?Will it be a motorcycle?Who knows?

They will not consider budging on allowing a few cars to be brought in & left for work around the midday. They will not budge from all vehicles having to sit there ALL DAY to wait to be worked on......makes no sense!! They are not gonna be able to work on all (say 50) cars @ 9:30am.....some will have to be worked on after lunch!!! Cannot understand why they cant allow say 5 cars to be dropped off later!!

I have a Rogue with a camera in the windshield and it was properly calibrated and still works great after windshield was replaced! Thanks Michael

Worst service ever! First they didnt calibrate/install safety sensors and then months later I realized my AC wasnt working, I took it to the dealer and they asked if I had my windshield replaced. Turns out, they did not install humidity sensor. So, that amounted to 3 extra trips after work was completed. Safelite is super annoying, in that you can ONLY book online and NEVER speak to a person. When I showed up yesterday, they said they did not have an appointment for me even after I had received an email the day before saying we are confirming your appointment for tomorrow. In addition, I received 3 emails thanking me for my business BEFORE I had my appointment. So, so confusing. Would NOT recommend this dealer or Safelite.

I had a chip on my windshield. I thought they filled it in all the way. 2 weeks later it spread. I took it back. They admitted it that it was failed repair, they did not fill it in all the way. I talk to manager. She told me I have to buy new windshield and then theyll reimburse my insurance company. Crooked service

Had a couple of chips in the windshield, one was center field of view, went in on an appointment and the technician was absolutely professional and honest. Was there for about 35 minutes and he was able to save me a ton more money than the surrounding glass replacement businesses. Much appreciated 👌🏻

Horrible customer service. First of theres no key drop off box at the front of the store. Theres a sign and nothing else. Next we had to try a bunch of different numbers to try to get a hold of them. Theres no way to directly contact this store during business hours if you have questions or concerns! How is this still functioning as a viable business?

They sent Craig to replace my windshield at my house. Safelite kept me informed and reminded all along the way, right up til Craig was 30 mins away (they also allow you to visually track!). Craig was extremely friendly and professional through and through. He got in and out within 45 minutes and did an amazing job - I recommend giving this guy a raise lol

I took my truck in to have a 2 crack fixed and the technician recommended that I wait until the crack was bigger. I said I dont want it bigger and he adamantly suggested I wait until it was 4. Well, the winter storm hit and the crack went across the entire windshield.I went back and they conveniently dont have information on who the technician was that made the recommendation. However, they had all my information and insurance on file.They said I needed a replacement windshield for a total of $485.Ridiculous! Now I highly recommend you not go there!

Get in writing BEFORE they start any work. They had me just drop off the key due to COVID, and they installed a new glass that wasnt the same tint as when I bought the car.When I picked up my car, I objected, and they explained that they dont install tinted glass because it is an after-market product. In other words, we can send drones to Mars, but apparently technology cant install a tinted glass.If you use them through Progressive, you will probably NOT get the same condition that your window was in originally. We need to begin pushing back against these businesses that cheerfully take money but do not do what they promise. Its theft. This place is a thief. If you notice all the owners feedback comments, they are just offensive responses Thank you for your feedback. This place does not give a damn about people. Take your business elsewhere.

Windshield was installed professionaly but they told us to drop our Chevy at 9:30am and they finished around 6:20pm

In 2017 Easter weekend, my car was broken into. My car was locked in my Apartment complex. Only the back door on the drivers window was broken. The thief tossed items around my car, but does not look like they took anything. I had nothing of value in my car. Its a 2009 silver Honda civic. This is the 1st time my car was vandalized. After making a Police report I had talk to my insurance company. The Insurance company lead me to Safe lite to get my window fix. I drove to their shop to get it fixed as soon as possible. Their excellent service was very help during that stressful time. They fixed the glass and cleaned out the glass. If anything happens to my car again I would call safe lite to get it fixed right and fast.

I am so happy with the work done by this Safelite location. I was able to easily schedule the repair online the day before. I prepaid for the repair online and I dropped off my wifes Lexus GX460 the next day at 9:30. In less than 2 hours, the job was complete and I was notified that I could come and pick it up.When I dropped the car off, it was dirty inside and out (I just got back from a trip to our familys ranch) and when I picked it up the inside had been vacuumed and the outside windows had all been cleaned. They even spent the time to remount my dash camera (something Ive never had a glass provider do, because its kind of a pain in the rear).On top of all this, they even charged less than the originally quoted price, issuing a refund of $29 to my credit card after the job was done.I cant recommend them enough! Thank You!

My BFF was telling me about Safelite doing their windshield and how reasonably priced they were. He didnt lie, we went there and although they are working by appointment only currently, they were able to get me in pretty quick. I was able to get three very large chips on my windshield done for less than $75! You can barely see where they were, they look just a little like smudges but in the long run I just saved over $500 because I dont have to buy a new windshield now. Their customer service was excellent and they even have a little waiting room. The process of taking care of my window did not take long at all, it was probably less than 15 minutes. Super easy, highly recommend!

Great work. I came for my appointment for a windshield replacement on my Mini Cooper. The windshield was damaged during delivery. The technicians let me know and rescheduled my appointment for the next day. The work was completed within an hour. The technicians are very courteous and take pride in their work! I had a wonderful experience with Safelite. My technician was Craig; he was punctual, professional, and extremely helpful. My car service window was from 12-5 and I received a call at exactly 12:00 saying he would be there in about 20 minutes. The work to replace my windshield due to loose binding took about an hour, and Craig let me know how the car was fixed and why he replaced the full windshield instead of just giving me new binding like I originally expected - he wanted to be sure the windshield was safe and secure and that the job was done right - this was very appreciated. I would highly recommend Safelite.

To respond to the owners comment below... the difficulty I had was that the tech took off about 3” of trim on the windshield and then left. If your not going to complete the service I expect to get my vehicle back in the same condition it was left in. I called both safelite and progressive insurance to get closure and got “well it’s your problem now” response.Nope and no. I will no longer use any safelite repair services. Guy and our and immediately said they couldn’t replace my windshield because it was an older car. After removing the weather stripping on the roof he stopped and said he could go no further and indicated I would have to repair the rust on my roof prior. If that was the case it would be no problem. However he never replaced the weather stripping where the glass and roof meet. After several attempts to call safelite to fix the situation I contacted any other service who completed my install with no issues. The rust was minor surface scratches from the previous install. Safelite was a waste of my time

First time I ever had to go get a repair. I went in to safelite on Howard Lane with a chip in my windshield and they cracked my windshield so now I would have to pay a $500 deductible so Im not a fan of safelite they only want to replace not repair.

Made an appointment two weeks in advance 1-5 Window at 4:15 the technician calls me to tell me he can’t come out because of rain unless I have a shop he can work in. I ask him if he can reschedule he is completely of no assistance and couldn’t care less. I call dispatch and they tell me if I want to wait a few days they can get me on the schedule. So I called a company local and they quoted $100.00 cheaper and next day service. I expected better out of a company with such a known name. Never again will I waste my time with safelite.

Very over priced. They semi-filled a couple of chips in my windshield. They look worse than before.

Referred to Safelite by my insurance company after I had a window smashed during a break-in. Their first available appointment was almost TWO WEEKS out! And ended up being $100 more expensive than the company that I used who were able to come same day.

Great experience! We were unfortunate enough to have a rock hit our windshield causing a circular crack in it. We first went through our warranty company (that only covered repairs) and then through insurance. Warranty company sent us to Safelite, who recommended a replacement. The Safelite staff reminded us to always check back with them after speaking to insurance as they could probably beat their rate. Insurance wouldnt cover it but referred us to Safelite with a referral discount. When I came back to Safelite, the staff ran comparisons between the discounted rate and their standard rate. She was able to shave off $40 off a repair by removing the discount. After the repair, the technician told me he was able to shave off a few more dollars off the molding. Workmanship was great and had no problems after. Great company doing great work, trying to do right by the customer and get the best price for us.

This is my second time over the years that I’ve used this location. Both times were effortless. Cliff was my technician this second round and he was concise, articulate, and did exactly what he said he would in the time he quoted. Check in and check out were both extremely fast with the receptionist whose been there since my first time many years ago. Sorry I forget her name but she’s friendly and helpful, also. I definitely recommend this location. Online scheduling is so easy.

Found a chip on my windshield from a rock around 2:15pm on 04/07/2020, hopped onto the Safelite website and had an appt at 3 to fix the chip. The Hispanic technician who helped me was awesome. He was prompt and professional, kept touching base with me. And I was in and out in less than an hour. This is the second time I’ve been here for a repair and I will only come to this location.Thanks for repairing my windshield :)

Appreciated how the company provided information on who was assigned with a picture of the technician. Received a text the day of the appointment and the technician provided a 30 minute window as he was on the way. The technician was professional, thorough, and timely. Great overall experience from the company. This is my second time to use the company. Extremely pleased both times.

On the spur of the moment, we took our van to Safelite for a cracked windshield. They took care of the windshield and replaced the rubber mouldings. They installed the rearview mirror and offered replacement windshield wipers, which ours were in need of changing. They provided us a great price as they were able to get a discount with our insurance. Since our visit with them we had a windshield of a pickup truck replaced as a Christmas Gift.

Do not support this business who is putting other peoples lives in danger for absolutely no reason.They have deliberately lied to employees about covid 19 exposure and have hidden a Covid 19 positive employee who is on medical leave by telling everyone he is on vacation, previously letting him work despite symptoms being brought to the attention of management more than once before he was put on leave. Telling its employees not to worry about it when asked and are actually requesting the employee return to work because “it’s not that severe”.While they cant identify the employee they can let the others know of a possible covid exposure and let customers know so everyone can be safe and make informed decisions about health and quarantine decisions, but instead they have chosen to down play it, not tell anyone and put our communities lives at at unnecessary risk.This is not the the type of business we want in our community!

Called to get a quote for a window chip for a Ford truck they had the nerve to say it be $180. I have had windshields for state vehicles replaced for that amount. The normal person we use is $30 just couldnt make it on the day I needed so I tried to find somebody else. 180,00a total rip-off to do a chip repair will never ever call again.

They seem to want to sell you a whole windshield instead of repairing your current one. Ofcourse that will cost a pretty penny. But hey, atleast the staff is friendly while they tell you they cant repair your windshield that has a minor crack.

I was SUPER Impressed. I made an appointment because I needed to get my windshield calibrated. The staff had all the info, were on time and everything was completed perfectly. The guy I had work on my windshield was super friendly, honest and helped me through the whole process. I had to drive a bit to get all the way out there but it was worth it.

Probably the least enjoyable customer service of my life. Technician called me and I missed the call and returned it only for him to scold me for returning the call, because he didnt need to talk to me. As if I could know that. I left my keys on the dash for the contact free experience. He arrives and calls me to come outside. He has info he couldnt possibly share with me on the phone. I go outside and he is sitting unmasked in my car and I assume he wanted me out there just so he could spit all over me as well. How many people is your employee potentially exposing in a day? Once again I am scolded, this time for not putting clear tape over my windshield chip the moment I noticed it. I didnt know. I didnt see this anywhere on your website or as instructions when I booked the appointment. Im scolded because my windshield is too hot. Its August in Texas, no one needs a lecture about heat. So I leave him to soil my vehicle with his germs and his bad attitude. I look out the window after about 45 minutes and lo and behold he is gone. I dont know how long my keys were sitting in my car on the dashboard, up to 30 minutes Im sure. No aftercare instructions were given. He gave me a pamphlet and didnt bother to fill it out. I waited an hour to move my car. Hope that was enough time. Absolute garbage experience. Never again. Find something local and take the chance that if you arent afforded any respect, youre at least helping out a small business owner.

Stopped in to get a recommendation for how to fix a plastic cover above my rear view mirror that had come loose. Within minutes the receptionist had a tech look at it and he repaired it while I waited. It took just a few minutes and looks like brand new.Great customer service and very high quality workmanship. Highly recommend them!!

Safelite does an extraordinary job at what they do. Not only do they replace your glass with crystal clear brand new glass in a timely manner. They also put a resin on cracks to keep them from spreading of you don’t want to replace the whole window and that stuff works. Not to mention they will come to you and appointment was easy to schedule and they arrive with a smile and again in a very timely manner.

Great experience. I was contacted via phone on multiple occasions in regards to the time frame on my windshield delivery as it was on back order. Office kept in contact with me throughout the process. Our installation tech Jarl was great! He walked through all of the steps he would be doing, as well as after installation instructions, was prompt on the set installation time, called when he was on his way, and replaced my windshield quickly. Even cleaned all my windows! I couldnt be happier! Thanks again! And since this is a Jeep...I am sure you will hear from me soon!

Came in for a windshield replacement and unfortunately it didn’t go well, and needed to be redone. The techs at Safelite immediately admitted the job they did was sub par, and had someone come out to my house to redo the job while I was at home a few days later at no cost to me. I was very impressed with how they handled the issue, as I know not everything can be done perfectly 100% of the time. The second time my windshield looks flawless and I will definitely be using their services again if I ever need them! (Hopefully I don’t.)

Just wanted to make sure that my technician today, Thaddeus received proper review and appreciation for today. He was very respectful and enthusiastic with assisting with my 2005 Le Sabre while I was at work. I even noticed that before my passenger door would not open properly before the appointment and after he had arrived, it somehow started opening correctly, without clamping the fender like it had been. He said that it was like that when he showed up, but he obviously gave it the magic touch so it is one less thing I had to worry about. I hope this is seen there as I really did appreciate the encounter with him, making it a pleasant one.

My new mini vans whole rear window was busted completely out. Safelites estimate was by far the most reasonable rate. I was even given $50 off for being a first-time customer. The customer service was very friendly when I went to their shop and my window was fixed so good, the incident looked like it never happened. Thanks Safelite!

The repair person that came out to our house didnt really communicate what he needed from us that well. He was prompt though. He called when he was 15 minutes away and instructed us to blast our AC onto the windshield so it could cool down by the time he arrived.He actually arrived sooner than 15 mins and despite me offering to move my car to the shade, he insisted it would be fine to work on after a few minutes. After 5 minutes, he suddenly told me to turn off the AC because it was making the crack worse. It had grown at least 2 inches in those few minutes. He didnt mention that the AC could do that and that was annoying.He did inform me that his process to fix the crack could possibly make the crack worse and I understood that. Unfortunately, It did make it worse and then he applied the glue. We followed his advice of not driving the car for at least 24 hours and we moved it to a shaded spot.The next day, we checked the crack and it had grown 3 inches while just sitting in the driveway. UGH! We called and were told we would need to replace the windshield. The receptionist was very nice and friendly and quoted us the exact cost.Safelite did an excellent job of replacing the windshield and customer service was very good at their shop. They even cleaned all of the car windows which was a nice surprise.

I am pleased with Safelites service. They are very busy so the first available appointment to replace my windshield was a week out. They set a 4 hour window and showed up within 30 minutes of the start of mine. Everything seems to be done correctly and I love having a clean windshield. He was able to save all of my stickers and toll tag. Then he wiped down and vacuumed the inside which was a happy surprise when I used my car later that afternoon. Will definitely use them again for a repair or replacement.

Safelite came to my house to replace the wind shield. The contact was Cliff. Cliff was very professional, and explained the process and what not to do with the car for the next several days. I highly recomend Safelite if you need repairs on your car.

I scheduled a service to replace the entire windshield online and the price was crazy good! I took the car there and they were professional and it looked great after it was replaced. My family has also taken other cars in for rock chips and they do good with that too. Will definitely come back!

Went there to fix a rock chip. I ended up paying $over 500 to replace my windshield after they broke it during the process. They didnt offer me a discount even after I went through several supervisor. not Happy. They advertise peace of mind and professional services. I recieved none of these. I highly recommend not not taking your vehicle there.

We had a windshield replacement earlier this year. Everything seemed to be in order until the rear view mirror fell off. Upon closer inspection, the tech didn’t bother to prep the mirror button at all to buy it on the new glass. In fact, they didn’t even bother to remove the previous adhesive. I took the time to reinstall myself including cleaning off the old button entirely. Safelite offered to let me drive my vehicle to them to correct the issue. But I chose to do it myself so the job could be done properly.

Fully paid for an install and I have continuously been rescheduled. The first appointment the wrong windshield was ordered in and the technician didnt double check until my weather stripping was removed. It seems there is no care as a company for installs that are paid for. Go elsewhere if you want to be treated like a customer and not have your weather stripping removed before a rain storm happens.

I just want to say that from start to finish this was a painfree experience. Everyone involved was so kind and professional. They gave me the best rate, and beat out their competitors. Then they found me a location to get the work done only 5 minutes away and did the work in under an hour. The technician who performed the work was just the nicest young fellow you could want to meet. He was informative, polite and professional. Give this young man a raise Safelite, because hes the main reason I am recommending you guys to all my friends. If I ever need car glass work done again, I am calling Safelite first. Edward was my tech. Came to my work and fixed a few chips and ended up costing me almost half of what I was originally quoted. Also the amount I paid they said I could use as credit towards a new windshield. Why go to an unknown shop? Everybody else are imitations
