Wow! This place is amazing! Great selection of everything. And prices are very reasonable
This place is amazing! I was looking for a bench, but found so many other treasures! The employees were friendly and helpful, the shop was clean (not super common in vintage stores) and the merchandise was grouped in clever ways. Lots of cool old UT stuff too. Definitely a place to bring friends visiting from out of town, no one does vintage this cool. Loved it, and will be back.
It has a lot going on here. Very homely and inviting. Interesting items throughout. If you have claustrophobia dont go here very small aisles and feels like its closing in on you. But if you can get past that definitely worth your time.
Extraordinarily eclectic assortment, clean and well curated. Well absolutely be back.
Oh yeah! my absolute favorite vintage store. Love it here you guys, I live in south Austin on Southpark Meadows but still drive all the way over there to do a little thirsty-thrifty shopping lol. Very sophisticated and lovely, it’s affordable and chill :)
I loved this vintage store. They have a wide variety of nick-nacks from furniture, glassware, plates, clothes, shoes, scarves, ornaments, blankets, fabrics, that are pretty reasonably priced. I got a brilliant glass top table for our porch, and the staff were really helpful (and even helped me load it and provided a blanket to protect the glass table top).
Cool stuff, however the corridors are a bit to cramped, watch your step
Certainly one of my favorite destinations for retro pieces and unique decor in Austin. It’s a rarity that I leave without a great piece of wall art, pottery, or jewelry. The workers are friendly and attentive without stalking, and their prices are reasonable. Love this store!
Consistently full of cool and quirky finds, often at a fraction of the price charged by similar vintage stores in town. Great service. Keep in mind theres limited access due to covid restrictions so there can be a short waiting line to get in on the weekends.
There are rooms and there is service but better to just browse without the help from the employees. Find your vintage clothes, records, jewelry, etc.
LOVE this place, come with time to browse!
One of the all-time coolest stores I’ve ever been lucky enough to live nearby. I’ll shape a whole day around going here - you just see things from every walk of life and every era that have somehow made their way into this weird, eclectic fun house. Extremely reasonably priced as well. Other vintage stores are asking for astronomical prices in comparison to Room Service :) I also appreciate that you’re free to roam and aren’t harassed by sales associates like at other places. Basically, the world is your oyster here!! PS thank you for taking your Covid procedures seriously and keeping us safe!
Keeping things covid safe and very welcoming. This vintage store was the highlight of my day today. Some fantastic items, fun to browse...
I’ve been coming here for a couple years now and love it every time. Whether it’s just to pop in or looking for something specific, they never disappoint! I get all my vintage rings from here and my last pick up was some sweet boots that are rotated very heavily in my everyday wardrobe. (All very reasonable prices).
Another web search, before i headed out... 🤙
Always find things we like here
This shop is rad and I love coming here to get fun decor and housewares! They seem to update their inventory quite often. If youre on the fence about something, GET IT or itll get snatched up the next time youre there!
Tons of fun stuff to look at & reasonable prices!
I absolutely love this place. One of my favorite things to do in Austin is just wander around Room Service.
This place is pretty unique in many ways, but I find many of the prices are ridiculous. 🤑
Super cute quirky place to shop!! It has an amazing selection of glass items and COATS! If you were looking for anything specific
Bummed that the hours are later now. I used to like to come to this cramped store in the morning so I can actually look at things without constantly stepping out of the way of the other people. I cant imagine going back now. It is a very tight store. I would think that longer store hours on the weekend would make sense for any store.
Good stuff here and the price were really great
Can get nice glasses and furniture. Recommend to follow their instagram to see what they get.
Lots of 60-80 retro. A good selection of vintage clothing. Very groovy vibe.
Good collection of knick knacks
Very organized! We found a few Chinese dragons that hold a pearl/ball for our son who loves Dragon Ball Z
Very nice helpful store owner. The store is crowded like all antique stores but it had lovely merch and even better prices
This place has the coolest old stuff, and its affordable. Vintage art, records, clothes, magazines, etc. Its easy to spend up to an hour browsing. Plus, there are a few other cool shops to visit right along the same stretch of the road, so you can make an afternoon out of it. Epoch Coffee is just a short jaunt down North Loop.
Our go-to outlet for mid-century, vintage and funky. The owners are very chill and it’s like a treasure hunt in there. Definitely worth an hour.
In one word: curated. I dont know how they do it, but everything looks like it goes together! And if you find something you like and cant live without, chances are you will find something else within a 2 foot radius of it. The store is nicely arranged, and not overwhelming like some vintage stores if you know what I mean. They had some great mod pieces - which I find hard to find sometimes, strangely. Ultimately left with a few things I just couldnt live without - which is the true mark of a good vintage store. Stop buy and leave with a treasure, and say hi to their shop puppy! Shes so sweet.
Millions of eclectic collections. Great furniture, more knick knacks than you can fathom and cool art. No idea about the clothes but I could not locate the one item I wanted: an oven mitt! Zero oven mitts here. Plenty of little owls and pigs which I collect though!
They always have cool stuff and theyre taking the social distance/wear a mask/hand sanitizing
They got awesome items from clothing to furniture.
Super friendly and helpful staff
Filled with treasure and great service
This place has so much cool stuff at really reasonable prices. I always experience lots of nostalgia when I go inside, bringing back so many memories of my childhood home decor. Its interesting to visit now with my own child and explain things like a corded telephone or an ashtray. Definitely worth a visit if you want to pick up some one of a kind decor.
My Son and his girlfriend, of all people, turned me onto this place!Totally cool thrift store on crack. Packed full of everything nostalgic. Everything from the past. Its like walking back through time, especially seeing things from my childhood. Ugh...bittersweet, when the stuff you grew up with is called vintage and antique.Keep in mind that their stuff is constantly changing. If you see something you really want, you better grab it and buy it, because someone else surely will.
I love Room Service Vintage. Great selection of stuff - ranging from sleek mid-century furniture to quirky kitsch - and reasonably priced. New stuff to see every time I visit - I lose track of time here. Helpful staff.
Most well-curated vintage knick-knacks and clothing at thoughtful and appropriate prices
Selection of items changes daily. Well organized. Great posts to Instagram and their website.Decent parking for North Loop. The bathroom is awesome. Check it out.
Packed full of interesting mid-century items
Fun, hip, retro treasures - changes weekly. The shop has several different vendors rent spaces in it. They go out and find their vintage wears and sell them all at this one stop. Solid vintage store. I bought my 1940s kitchen table here, a bit beat up but $200 with chairs - awesome.
An Austin treasure! Always plenty of new arrivals to ogle every time I stop by.
Nice little shop. So much to see from furniture, clothes, jewelry, photos, little knick-knacks, ect. Deffinaly worth a stop to check out. Spent about 30 minuets looking around. Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed.
Pretty cute store with lots of vintage furniture and items. I came in on a Saturday and it seemed like there might have been a flea market of sorts. Be warned that parking was difficult and we had to walk a ways from a side street.
Best place for vintage lovers looking for those one of a kind pieces! Pricing are fair since a lot of what they have are in really good condition. They are more of your top tier vintage stores located in North Austin.
Great! Loved it!
I recently bought a very nice 70s desk from these guys and could not have been happier. The desk was on the more expensive side ($215) but it was really worth it. They helped load, gave instructions for loading, and held the desk for me overnight while I got a truck. The employees are very relaxed and nice. A+ for the furniture. Sometimes they have good clothes (it changes often) and their record collection is cheap vintage stuff. I love North Loop!
Gem in the funky pantheon of north loop - you can spend time and/or money - most likely both - and which ever you choose. it will still be a great investment either way. Great way to while away meandering in and out of shops close by.
Room Service has some incredibly expensive pieces that are worth every penny. But what I love is the sheer variety of things - its not just furniture and clothes, its accent pieces, records, randomness. There are also some really good bargains here - Ive bought two amazing pieces for my house here and Ive spent about 40 dollars total. So if you have a good eye for what you want you can definitely find some great things here.
This place rules! Very eclectic variety of vintage decor, furniture, clothes etc. Priced arent too crazy either. Its located in the North Loop area so definitely plan on checking out the other shops nearby.
Items that you truly cant find anywhere else, at a price that you cant say no to!
Fun environment and they had a pretty nice selection to choose from. The clothes were a little more expensive than most vintage stores for similar items
I really love this place. Ive been able to find some really great, unique pieces for my home. They have new items every time I go and they have some of the fairest antique prices in town. They also choose pieces that the modern antiquer would be proud to have. The employees are friendly too!
For those who love vintage everything. This place is a goldmine of beautiful vintage furniture, clothes, and knick knacks. All in great condition. Its worth it to just browse even though you dont buy. There are certainly a few things I want for my home if I could afford it! A must go place while in Austin!
Such an awesome little gem. I found 2 pairs of Converse and a shirt I liked really well. Id definitely recommend going there if you like upscale thrift shops.
Apparently, they want the merchandise ready for the floor rather than having to do a little prep work to make items flawless or desirable. (Sanding and varnishing is an example)
I have never been here before, now I am obsessed with this place! Im already telling my friends and planning my next visit there !
I love all of the merch they carry!!
Fun items and fair prices, plus it seems like theres always a sale going on. The staff can be hit or miss, sometimes very helpful and other times kinda short. Always a great assortment to shop through, an easy favorite in Austin thrifting.
Awesome place...took me back to my childhood!
Totally dig this place! If you ever need a retro clock, or a plush circular couch, you are in luck! My daughter was searching for a vintage 1950s style crinolyn petticoat for under a dress, and purchasing one new was too expensive. We visited Room Service Vintage, and found just the one she needed for less than half the price we would have paid if it had been purchased new.The owner was super friendly, the store was organized and clean, and a joy to browse through.I am bringing my video camera next time to shoot a vintage segment for my blog.
Really great items, and a fun place to wander around. The pricing can be a little extreme, but if you look long enough it’s easy to find something you like within budget
I love Room Service Vintage because their prices are affordable and reasonable than other vintage stores (not naming names). RSV specialize in Mid-Century vintage, mostly. Customer service is friendly and you MUST, MUST, MUST see the bathroom!
Cool place
The merchandise is nice. You can find some antique or retro furniture. They had a sale when I went there. It sounded pretty good. So I read off the sign to make sure I was selecting the correct pieces. I was excited. Brought my purchases to the register, rang me up and didnt apply the sale price to any of the items. I alerted the store owner, he asked where I had seen the sign and I showed him exactly where. He came back and said something stupid like, yeah thats the wrong merchandise I explained all the signs read something like all the little decor pieces were 20% off or something to that effect, anyway there was no way I grabbed the incorrect items being they were right behind the %off sign. I told him so and he wrote it off said it was the wrong sign. I bought something like 100$ worth of merchandise. Was it really too much to ask for a little respect if nothing else? The owners are rude and loud. They stand near the register and yell loudly about gross things and some disease they got. WTH?! I wont be returning. A bunch of entitled middle aged nutcases that know nothing about CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Love the selection! There are new delights every time we visit.
Great place to find the items you can not find anywhere else. Friendly folks to deal with.
Great selection of housewares, furniture, clothing, jewelry, vinyl & anything else old and cool. Theyre more reasonable than most of the vintage stores in town and update their stock daily. One if my favorites
SUPER HUGE!!! Tons of variety and there is seriously so much to see it was amazing. The owners were also super cool and nice. Any time Im visiting Austin, I intend to stop here.
Oh my goodness I cant wait to come back! Packed, jam packed, with curios knick knacks doo dads and all things interesting. Swag lamp heaven.... So much to look at! The staff were relaxed and friendly. I could spend literally hours in here. Love it!
Something for everyone is to be found at Room Service. And the name of the store does justice to the treasures in every single nook and cranny. I am impressed by the enormous collection of vintage Playboy magazines in mint condition. I am assuming the former owner(s) of said magazines only read the articles. I didnt find the items to be too expensive for the quality. It seems that the owners buy from serious collectors because everything that I looked at had been well-taken care of by former owners. I will add that I liked the selection of vintage Chucks and ponchos. And Room Service deserves a grand prize for their bunny rabbit-themed restroom. Ive never encountered anything like it in my entire life.
Really fun vintage store! Packed wall to wall with all kinds of fun knick knacks and treasures! Make sure to check out the truly epic (and terrifying) bathroom!
Always something different every day. Price good. If you are looking for something you cant find anywhere else look here. You should be able to find something that will work.
Room Service Vintage is one of my favorite places to go shopping in Austin. They have a really well curated collection, with just the right ratio of junk and treasure. The prices are usually pretty reasonable too, making it easy to splurge on everything from trinkets to furniture.
They always have excellent quirky light fixtures, small antique trinkets, and costume jewelry. Expect a busy crowd on the weekends. Needs better parking.
If youre into vintage and retro, stop in here before someone takes that velour couch from you! They have 50s cocktail sets (you know, like the martini lounge swanky sets), brocade curtains, and even a mid century or two sectionals, if youre lucky to chance upon one!I want to outfit my whole office in 1950s mod from here!
This store is awesome. Great selection. And the bathroom is a must see.
Favorite Austin Vintage Store. They have things I didnt even know I wanted! Very organized and knowledgeable of their stock too. Reasonable prices, sad they dont ship things, but great excuse to visit Austin.
Great place to find those vintage peices you never knew you needed
Awesome stuff here. Friendly helpful staff as well. I purchased several items here when I first moved to Austin, and they discounted some items for me. Very cool place!
This is my go-to place for vintage home goods. They have a great selection of dishes, salt and pepper shakers, glasswork, trays, and storage containers. The prices are quite reasonable compared to other local vintage stores, and theyre even open on Sundays! If youre into the super popular mid-century modern furniture, theres usually some items in stock. Stop in often, theres frequently sales.
Cool stuff! Reasonably priced.Awesome staff
By far the best vintage store Ive ever been in. Tons and tons of stuff for a decent price. I love the way its decorated (especially the creepy bunny bathroom) cant wait to go back!
Super awesome, eclectic, and chill. I take all my friends here
Fantastic vintage. Hipsters unite. Fab selection! I found a bathing suit Id been searching for, for years.
Get stuff here all the time. easy to deal with. good quality goods!
This place is so fun. The merchandise ranges from post cards, to vintage toys, to records, to full out living room furniture. There is something for every taste and age range. I have bought several records and pieces of jewlery from here. The prices are inline with the other vintage shops in the area.
My favorite vintage shop in Austin! Unique items in great condition. Everything is so reasonably priced. This is always a fun trip. Blast from the past!!
I want to live here! Awesome vintage shop
Huge selection of everything from clothing to furniture to glassware to magazines to records... Basically anything that your heart desires. Good prices too.
Its even fun on the trips that I dont buy anything.
