Nick is the god of shoes, knows the products and will fit you with the perfect shoe for your problem feet and intended use. Last person half as knowledgeable that fit me in a shoe was the retired track coach for Duke. He suggested I try a shoe I never would have picked and my feet were instantly grateful. Go ask him about the 0 lift that takes the weight off the ball of the foot. The clothing in store is accommodating in fit, style, a good cross between athletic and casual and has been the right choice for me for years.
We had an awesome experience! The ladies that helped us were phenomenal and very attentive. Mountain High Outfitters has something for everyone in the family. This is our new favorite shop for all things gear, shoes and clothing!
This place is really cool it had a bunch of the things that we needed such as hammock straps, carabiners, and discs for disc golf. They are pet friendly.
Staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Great welcoming atmosphere.
Needed some new chackos (sp?) and they fixed me right up. Took the dog with me, its a great dog friendly store and staff.
I went in to replace a fleece jacket that I lost. The sales associate was very helpful and I found exactly what I needed. Great store!
Cheyenne was very helpful. They didnt have the size I need and she called to find them and ordered them for me. Will definitely be back.
Super friendly and helpful staff! They helped us find the perfect Chacos for us. :)
Love this store!
Greatest customer service ever. One of the workers there, tall guy with long hair and a beard, I think his name was Bruce? Anyways, he actually seemed to care about me coming into the store and did not carry an attitude of oh great, another customer 10/10 will visit again.
Amazing staff with great knowledge of the product they sell as well has first hand experience in using it. If there were ten stars id click it.
Mountain High Outfitters is one of the few retailers in Auburn/Opelika that sells actual gear(not just clothing). I needed to pickup some Isobutane for a ultralight camp stove and they are the only store in the county that carries it. Thats not something that ships easily!Thats why I buy from them. You can always find super cheap deals from online retailers but it is so great to have a store in our area where you can try the gear out in person, get questions answered, and return items if they dont work out.On top of that, the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING! The guys and gals there are always, respectful and attentive. Last but not least... Fido is welcome! I rest my case.
Friendly and helpful service!
The store looks small from the outside but its packed with merchandise. Staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
I bought a pair of Salomons from these guys. After a couple of months, something happened to one of the shoes causing it to squeak regardless of the surface. I took it to Mountain High to see if they would fix or replace it, and was told there was nothing they would do. I contacted Salomon who told me that the shoes are under warranty for two years and that they would replace them. Salomon is a terrific company and Ive bought several products from them, including shoes, and have never had a problem until now. And as soon as I had a problem, they made it right. Mountain High, on the other hand, is worthless. There is no reason to support a local business that is not willing to support local customers. Buy from someone else.
Limited selection, horrendous return policy. Confirms why most people go to local places to check stuff out then go home and purchase online.
Meh. Limited selection of stuff. The rack of dog stuff was pathetic. I saw it advertised as a place to buy bicycles, but all they had were a couple on a rack outside. But they do carry your obligatory Yeti, Corkcicle, Chaco, hammock, hipster-fuel stuff, so theyve got you covered on that front.
They care about getting you the right stuff to help you out on your next trip and the people working actually know what they are talking about. One guy,Matt I believe, helped me so much with putting on some Chacos and I can always have a great talk with any of them. Also there is so many awesome deals there, too. Thanks MHO for supplying with all my gear.
These guys always are so friendly. Shoe Sean is always a big help, and so is everyone else. Not sure about the past, but went there on Tuesday and I think they were having a smiling contest. Way to go yall.
Great knowledgeable staff most of them is through hike their section height
Ive been in numerous times and have always had great customer service.
Excellent customer service. Highly recommend.
Very fair at competitive prices
Good selection. Friendly staff and attentive staff.
Great gear and an awesome staff. Dealt with what I wanted and how much I could afford.
Hands down, best customer service I have received at a retail store in the area.
Been here multiple times since the first time they opened. Love the products. Everything here is very sport-specific. Not generic, crap gear for generic sports but good, quality, specific gear for specific sports. Only place Ive ever gone (besides REI in Atlanta) where Ive been able to find a Patagonia R1 fleece on the shelf, a Lifestraw in stock, a Neo XLite sleeping pad, and a plethora of ATCs/carabiners, and Arcteryx Beta AR jackets in the same place and in stock. This stuff is all the cream of the crop in each sport and is why all of their prices are crazy high. Its not them that makes the prices high, its the quality of the products theyre selling (Arcteryx jackets go for $550 in every store you can find them). Climbing/hiking/camping gear is all very well stocked. Found some ultralight hiking gear that I couldnt find at any other outfitter stores besides REI in Atlanta.Staff there is super friendly and welcome me every time I step foot through the door. Have often gotten into very long conversations about gear while in there. There are not many people that can tell me more about gear than I already know but these guys come the closest Ive ever experienced. One of the employees there had watched the exact same review videos online that I had already watched before I decided on a product and it was impressive to see that someone cared as much about reviews and ratings as I do. I never buy gear on a whim and always do a ton of research and these guys can almost always keep up with what Im talking about and help me weigh differences between products. Ive never found that anywhere else. Period.
Excellent customer service very helpful and friendly.
Great service!
Trendy outdoor enthusiasts with a flair of style.
A little limited on inventory - guess due to location?
Helpful and good selections.
Most of their ukuleles were out of tune
Overpriced, but friendly staff
Five star service
They are severely over priced and are not helpful, the employees only care about getting a sale and not customer service.
