Ive been going to Ray for years and hes the best service provider Ive encountered. Hes always had my best interest in mind on more than one occasion. He diagnosed a problem with a very simple inexpensive fix when I was expecting to pay more. I really trust his judgement and that he only recommends work that is really needed. Meritage Auto Repair is honest, and friendly. Great comfortable waiting area if you need it. Chances are that you will not spend much time there. I have been able to have them work my car in for minor repair with little to know wait. On other occasions I make an appointment and get my car over to them for bigger repairs without a hassle. They diagnose accurately and have reasonable rates. They even have coupons and have worked with me when I need it which is all of the time. I am treated with respect even though I know the other cars in this service shop are newer and more expensive with customers that I am sure are able to pay more than myself. I highly recommend this auto repair shop.

Hands down the most bestest, awesomest mechanic in the area. Hasti and her staff are friendly, knowledgeable and never forceful. We are the worst customers who often come in at the last minute and drop off our car expecting magic and guess what? We get magic and sometimes a dose of reality. FYI, they really like baked goods: I think it gives them the energy to do such great work.

I have a 2014 Nissan Versa Note that I take to the dealership for all of my servicing needs because it is under warranty. Less than a year ago, I purchased new tires and every time I take it to the dealership they say in the paperwork they balance and rotate my tires.My tire warning light came on so I took it to the place where I had purchased the tires. They told me my tires were worn and had not been balanced or rotated and I needed new tires. I could not believe it! I knew someone was not telling the entire truth, either the dealership or the tire place.I was in a panic as I am a single mom on a tight budget and could not afford new tires. I stumbled upon Meritage after leaving the tire shop and spoke with the owner Ray. He was so great. He stopped what he was doing and came out to inspect my tires. He told me my tires were in great condition and even showed me how he could tell the tires had been balanced and rotated.I was so grateful for Rays help and I couldnt believe he didnt charge me, even after I insisted I pay him for his time. I found out that they can work on vehicles that are under warranty from the dealership, so I have began taking my car to be serviced at Meritage. Every time I leave, I leave with peace of mind...and I know that that is a rare thing when dealing with an auto shop.I am so thankful for stumbling upon Meritage and will never take my car anywhere else!

Extremely nice people and very good deals

We are from Boise, ID and broke down on our way home near Auburn. Meritage took great care of us and helped us with more then just our car. They even drove us to our hotel. They called and lets us know what was going on each step of the way. They have great staff and were a saving grace for someone who knew no one. If we didnt live so far away we would have them work on our cars all the time!!!

Ive known more than a few car guys over the years, Ray is among the very best. He is not there to make a quick buck or do unecessary repairs. He has gone above and beyond for us to get a fair deal on parts and always checks for Service Bulletin items or other recall situations that can save big bucks. But they didnt.They took care of the odd problem, sourced a used part at their inconvenience, and addressed a follow-up service quickly and without hassle. We take our two vehicles to both their domestic and foreign shops in Auburn and have never been disappointed in their professionalism or service.With all of the horror stories Ive heard, read, and been a part of with other service teams... Ray and his team of master techs ROCK! I know that sounds juvenile, but these guys have always treated me more than right. I tried a few other shops for my M3 (including Black Forest - uggh), found Meritage, and never looked back. Top notch service, friendly staff, and service/repairs done right every time.True story: our Dodge pickup had a dangerous front end problem _5_ truck/suspension shops and over $3k couldnt fix. I brought it to Ray in utter desperation (I thought at the time He does European cars. Why would he touch a Dodge?). I was going to dump it if I struck out here too. He found the problem, fixed it, and proved once again that they, well, ROCK!!! Guess whos serviced our truck ever since?A++ and 5 gold stars for sure.

I give Meritage Automotive 10+ stars......I’m not in the area during the week only on the weekends and when I need work done on my car I take it to Ray. I’ve been taking my car there for a while now, recently I noticed that I had some serious oil leaks and I travel quite a bit I told him that I needed my car back on Saturday morning and I brought it in late Thursday afternoon I received a call from Chris, (great guy), Friday morning, was given a quote, I ask if they have the parts Chris said no they were going to order them and my car was ready to go Friday afternoon no leaks no worries everything is great! Andrew one of the mechanics is awesome Ramone the person that gave me a ride home also so awesome so nice Tommy I believe his name was help me this morning with a problem that I was unable to figure out with my date in my car.... All of the people are sooo caring and incredibly attentive.... All I can say is Thank you thank you thank you I love MERITAGE AUTOMOTIVE, you can’t go wrong.. Prices are incredible and they’re trustworthy. I love you Ray thanks for everything

Best mechanic Ive ever had. Didnt charge me for labor twice and I would definitely recommend Ray to anybody.

Found out about Meritage Auto Repair by accident several years ago. Wished I had found them sooner! Got tired of the dealership recommending unneeded service just to make up for their low profit margin on new car sales. I heard a brake squeal one day when I happened to be driving through Auburn. Stopped in and Ray dropped what he was doing and came out and test drove the car, youre fine, I think it was some debris on the disc, If it continues bring it back and well take a look No charge. I repeat NO CHARGE. Anywhere else they would be saying that I was driving a death trap and that unless I replaced the pads, re surfaced the rotors ( if they could be resurfaced, if not then they would need replacement) I would surely die in a fiery crash, Oh and by the way it would be about 500.00 to get it fixed. Again, NO CHARGE. If it continues bring it back, and well take a look, but I dont think you have anything to worry aboutThink you would hear that from the dealership? Again same scenario with power steering pump noise, have us look at it when you bring it in for your next oil change, I think it may need to be flushed or the level topped up, maybe you have a leak, but its safe to drive now.I dont know about you, but before I always felt like a sheep at shearing season when I had my car in for service ( and I trained as a mechanic while in school!, God help how Id feel if I didnt know something about cars.....)After having my car screwed up by the dealership ( when I thought I HAD to take it to the dealership for warranty work), no, no more. No more shabby, overpriced work.Take it to Ray at Meritage. You may have to spend some money to get it fixed, but at least you will know:1) It was done right2) It was needed in the first placeand3) You were given an option, what to fix first if you cant afford the time or money to do it all at once.Just my 0.02 worth.Oh, by the way they specialize in European cars but that doesnt keep me from taking in my Chrysler minivan or full size GMC van.Ive recommended Ray and Meritage Motors to several friends and have been pleased to know that their experience has been similar to mine.

These guys were my only option when my clutch went out. They called me after a few days to apologize that they put the flywheel in backwards, and they had to re-do the work. Then, I found that they forgot to reconnect an O2 sensor and they forgot a couple bolts in the exhaust system. Now, after only 20,000 mi have gone, my clutch went out again. They forgot to put 2 bolts back on the transmission and didnt get it right. You guys are horrible. Perhaps it was just the mechanic you had for my truck. Without the sale of used cars, I feel like your shop would have a hard time surviving. Thankfully, Auburn doesnt have much competition, so your safe.

After being disrespected and overcharged by my previous mechanic I was blessed and extremely lucky to find Ray and his wonderful shops.I have brought two of my cars to Ray and he was 1/2 the price of my old mechanic and at lease twice as good. I had thousands of dollars of work and was very happy with the service I had on my VW Jetta and Ford Expedition. Ray has the best shops in Auburn. Unfortunately I no longer have my Jetta but Ray gave me great advise on buying my new car even though he know the car he advised me to get was not european. I will go to his other shop with my new car and hope to see Ray at his other shop when I go. He always talks to his costumers and talks the time to be personable. If you want a great mechanic with great prices and great customer service with a smile I would only recommend Meritage in Auburn as I have and nothing but great service at both shops. Thank you guys very much!
