Great staff, great service. The team at M45 is very knowledgeable, honest and friendly. This is a big deal to me since no one wants to walk into a shop and feel like someone is trying to take advantage of you. You want to feel like your getting a fair price on the work you need done. M45 has helped me twice now. Once with an early-worn clutch due to previous owner’s driving, and recently with diagnosing a wheel bearing problem. I’m used to hearing a different sound present with wheel bearing issues. I was absolutely stumped. But the guys at M45 were on it! Noise is now gone, thanks guys!

Took amazing care of me today on a timing belt service, was on time, on quote price and good communication.

I just want to start off by saying that I am thoroughly unimpressed with M45s work I brought my car to them about a month and a half ago to do some fixes and check up work on my subaru I went into the guys at M45 and listed the things that needed fixing on my car the sunroof, the back door latch and my rear driver side door locking system it would occasionally lock and sometimes wouldnt. Then I asked the too look motor to see if there was any problem with it because everytime I would go to start my car no matter the weather hot or cold it would sit there and take a long time to turn over I knew that wasnt normal for my car because it had just started doing that. So I left my car there for a week and when I got it back they said there was nothing wrong with the rear driver side door and they couldnt find an issue when it was still doing the same thing that it was doing when I dropped it off to them I looked at the invoice that they had given me and they charged me a fee for not doing a single thing to fix it the back door latch the plastic on the back of the car is falling off and my windshield wiper was put on backwards so it was wiping the back of my car instead of my window and I noticed that after I got home with my car so I took it back a couple days later to fix both of those things and they only fixed the easiest thing which was the windshield wiper and then charged me twice for something that they had messed up while working on my car the first time. The sunroof was fixed which was the only thing that they did good. But now a few months later after I asked them to take a look at my motor they same stuttering happened and my check engine is on I just wanted to say that I will never recommend this place to anyone and the amount of effort those guys put into their jobs is absolutely terrible I will be finding a new place to fix my car.

Truly Subaru Geniuses! Ive gone other places that claim to specialize in Subarus with my Outback and they have no where near the expertise or experience available at M45.

Although my car is still being inspected and rebuilt by them, doing a new staged block and the works.I had an aftermarket maintenance warranty which covered an entirely new block and all the labor that goes with that kind of replacement. Although they hadn’t worked with my warranty company before they got me the best bang for my buck and got them to cover $6000 in repairs.I will from now on be taking my vehicle to m45 exclusively because they explain things very well, make sure to update me often with what’s going on and have overall been great. Can’t wait to see what they do with my baby

First off, the work here is solid,I trust them with the work they do, with that being said the rest of the review is about the process I went through, pricing and my opinion.To contact M45 you have to call and speak with someone who makes the appointment. They are not the ones who will actually work on your car. The issue with this is they have to relay to you the information from the mechanic.Ended up breaking a bolt after installed a new fuel pump and was tightening it down.Mistakes happen. Called M45 and asked them if they do repairs for this, guy on the phone said yes. I said okay when can I be seen, I need to be seen ASAP Im leaking gas. He said soonest was a week from today. I was hoping he would of said just come by, as other reviews have said they had same day appointments,but thats fine.I said okay do you need anymore information, I have pictures. He said no but you can show them when you come in.I also figured while Im up there Id get my other parts I was going to install myself done. Cobb Flex fuel sensor and Cobb electronic boost controller. Also new NGK spark plugs. Simple installs but didnt want to make an 8 hour trip out of it. 2 hours to drop off two hours come back, install parts then 2 hours back etc..So day before my appointment I drive up to drop off my car since my appointment is at 8am next day. Talk to Wade and he ask has anyone given you an estimate I said no, so he gets all my information and goes over the estimate.I found it odd that I was being charged $70.00 to diagnose when the problem was the broken bolt that needed to be fixed or replace, nothing to diagnose, also other reviews have stated that they had an issue with suspected boost leak and they looked free of charge, but I understand its a business and nothing is free. All the parts except the sparkplug I purchased from them. So he said he will warranty the parts but not the Spark plugs since I didnt buy them there. Also in the break down it doesnt show how much labor they charge, so not sure if they charge a flat fee depending on part or if the costs break down per hour of labor. I asked for a copy but he said he will give a copy when I come pick up the car. I said okay. Next day they called me and told me the whole gas tank needs to be replaced, which I knew was a possibility. I just wish I would of been able to speak to the mechanic before hand as they could of told me if they have done this type of repair before or they always have to replace gas tank. This place only usually works on Subaru so they should know right away. Which is why I took it to this place, I figured if anyone could fix it, its them. So I was irritated a little about the $70 charge but again this is a business so I understand. Gave them a call friday morning for an update Spoke with John, he said they just got the part in or are getting it today and would give me a call later this afternoon to let me know. Got a call from John to let me know they just got the tank in and are aiming for Tuesday to be done. Called monday before they closed to find out if Id be picking up my car, spoke to Wade who said now its looking like friday. Said there is a couple cars in front of me and they are aiming for friday now. Not sure why it went from Tuesday to Friday but was told the part didnt get in till Friday afternoon, so guess some other cars are getting worked on before mine, guess they are backed up. Just sucks thinking your going to get it back then it gets delayed another week. Especially since you try to plan around work and arrangements for a ride up there to pick it up. So now I wait and hopefully will get my car back this week running smoothly. Got a call Thursday from Wade that my car is ready to pick up.Picked up my car spoke to the Tuner Travis which waited for me to explain the new tune, Ill post a separate review on Snail performance. Total cost of repair and install was $2668.30. Overall happy with the work, just wish the pricing was more transparent with hours they charge for labor or if its per item for install.

I was having some issues when I would accelerate my car would sound like it was losing boost and it idled funny. So I decided to reach out to M45, they were professional and proactive in getting me an appointment. They explained what they were looking for and that they would call me if anything changed.After dropping my car off they found the boost leak and were able to address it. They did a once over on my car and found that I needed an oil change as well as recommended that I have my spark plugs checked as the car was reaching the life of the original ones. In finding these things the car started to over boost and acted like it was misfiring. Come to find that the map the original owner installed was not right and it was causing my car to over spool the turbo and so they wrote down everything I needed to address it and maybe I bought a part or two extra to make it more fun.But all in all they took the time needed to address each issue kept me informed and aware of every step of the process. I currently live in Reno, NV and I will never question the drive to go and visit this amazing crew at M45.Thank you so much for everything! I couldn’t be happier with the quality of work!

M45 automotive is top quality. Every knowledgeable, great customer experience, and honest. I have taken my Subaru to M45 several times for various issues from a cracked radiator to rebuilding the transmission. Every time the staff has taken the time to explain the issue, even taking back into the shop to show me the cause. Recently, I took my car into M45, and the car malfunction was ultimately my fault (I forgot to put back in the gas cap which caused the car to enter limp-home-mode.), M45 was honest about the situation. It was an expensive gas cap replacement, but well worth the honestly.

I have been using Tonys shop for about 10 years and have only good things to say about M45.* He has always been accurate with diagnosis and there has never been misses from his prognosis with my Forrester.* He has always given me very fair treatment and the shop has always been willing to go beyond to help me out. One time I was dropping a part off at the shop when my old Ford pickup wouldnt re-start. He was able to diagnose the problem immediately and lend me the tools to fix it even though obviously he wasnt under any obligation to work on Fords.* My car is now cruising through 300K miles under his shops guidance.

For reliable service on ANY generation Subaru you cannot do better than M45. I have not been back to the dealership for service on my 2011 Impreza since I found them. Fast, friendly and knowledgeable, they are an inexpensive alternative​ to the time and money spent at any dealership. The best part is, they let me know of upcoming necessary maintenance as its needed, not based purely on mileage as the dealership does!

Huge relief finding this shop! After several years of trying to diagnose check engine light & spending multiple thousands of dollars at the dealership and various shops in Reno, Las Vegas & Auburn. Tony at M45 found the problem no one at more than at least 9 different shops couldnt diagnose on my 98 Legacy. I feel like I found a doctor I can trust thats honest and reasonable that takes the time and effort to find out whats really going on. I would not hesitate to drive hundreds of miles to not have to worry about getting ripped off at another shop! I wish every business I went to operated like this one.

Took my 2015 STI in to get my oil pressure and air fuel ratio gauges installed. Making the appointment on the phone with Troy was super easy and straight forward he was knowledgeable and nice. Then when I took the car in met Troy and the owner Tony in person super cool guys, I hung around in their chill waiting/office room until the job was done. Once it was all set Troy, Tony and the Tech who did the work and walked me through it but I didnt get his name, still he was awesome (super clean work) were all as excited as I was to get my set up done. I was working in the area when my transmission went out on a Wednesday evening. Friday night I needed to drive myself back home 500 miles. Called multiple shops in the area Thursday morning and no one could help me out. I didnt realize I was just getting lucky. Called M45, explained my situation and they got me right in. The car was already on a lift and getting worked on before I could give my information to the service writer. The shop was absolutely spotless by the way. One and a half days later I had a freshly rebuilt transmission. That was almost two years ago and I have not had one issue with it. Top notch shop.
