Jerry from Northwest Connecting Rod is terrific. For all you VW enthusiasts, he machined my 94mm cylinders to fit in a 92mm case (to leave a little more meat on the case, which also saved me a lot of time in the process), machined my cylinder heads for 94mm cylinders, balanced my pistons, set my rings correctly, and even went above and beyond and inspected/re-seated my exhaust valves since they were running hot. All of this work was performed for a more than reasonable priceThis man knows engines, will gladly give you some pointers/recommendations if you ask him, and also loves to hear and talk with others about their projects. Me and him spoke for nearly 20 minutes after I checked out, just talking about VW engines. An overall great experience for me, and I highly recommend to anyone who needs engine work performed at an affordable price.

Great experience glad my friend recommended the place, we had bearings replaced on a crankshaft, Ill be going back soon to see if they can turn the gear on my flywheels and do some machine work.

NWCR rebuilt my 87 VW Westphalia 2.1 WBX. I got it balanced and went up to a 2.2.Very happy 25k and still running strong.
