Theyre pretty good, stopped in today to have some fluids changed, shop was quick and fairly priced. They have a nice waiting area which has coffee and vending machines. They brought to my attention two things that need to be corrected on my vehicle that another shop did work on, however I may just let Fenkell fix it if the other shop keeps dodging my calls 😂🤷‍♂️

They try to make me pay for an oil change when i have a contract thats states i get free oil changes and tire rotations for the time that i own then vehicle.

Fenkell Auto is pretty unique, they offer a car care plan at a fixed price where you can come in and get your oil and filter changed and get your tires rotated for the life of the vehicle. When I bought my vehicle, used, in 2019, the dealer sold it with one of these service plans. Since then, Ive been to Fenkell for this service and have no issue getting my vehicle serviced and out in a timely manner. I do call ahead, of course, so not to come if theyre too busy. I would recommend Fenkell, for sure. For me their shop in Auburn Hills is local and I am a satisfied customer.

New Continental tire installation and wheel balance performed. Good service overall. Service advisor and mechanic were courteous and helpful. However, the wheel balance weights used were the rim weights that did not balance the wheels/tires correctly (vibration occurred at 70 MPH). I had to go to the Nissan dealer to rebalance the wheels/tires using stick-on weights. Recommend that Fenkell use stick-on weights for wheel/tire balancing.

Because theyre a team of automotive professionals whos attention to detail is evident in every facet of their service and repair efforts. Fenkell has consistently serviced and/or repaired all of our respective vehicles..from our Chevy Malibu....Jeep Grand Cherokee and even our mini Class C Recreational Vehicle....all in outstanding fashion. Would not risk taking my vehicles to any other service/repair facility.

I have been going here for my oil changes for the past two years. Theyve been okay up until today. I had them replace a battery back in September of 2020 and when i went back in February of 2021 they said that my car battery is bad. i didnt catch it while at the shop because they didnt actually tell me, they just wrote it down on my paper. Either my battery is bad and they gave me a very very poor quality battery and didnt mention it to me or theyre lying about it being bad on paper. Either way, that is extremely unprofessional. I overpaid for the battery as it was. I also left the shop feeling backed into a corner about forking over a bunch of extra money . They tried to scare me telling me that part of my suspension was going to break down any day now and cause me to get into a car accident- it scared me so bad i took my car in for a second opinion immediately and the second place told me that Im fine and can definitely wait to replace the parts, the same was said at a third shop i went to (just to be safe). This place uses scare tactics to try and get you to fork over money for overpriced services. Despite getting a discounted rate for my oil changes i will likely being going elsewhere in the future.

The staff here at Fenkel has always been kind and very helpful. Ive been using their services since I got my car in 2018. Ive never had any issues and things get done rather quickly.

The owner has even came out himself to let me know details about my vehicle. What really impressed me is that they don’t force you to do things that you don’t feel comfortable with. I drove 30 miles to this dealership and asked for a total price before coming to pick the car up. I was told my total was $211 ! Upon arrival I was first told it was gonna be $483!! Then I said no, I was told $211!!! The other items were covered under warranty. She took the items off and said ok it’s now $283 and once again I told her that Kevin told us $211 was our total we asked before driving out here.Update: The manager Brian called the next day and offered the refund of the difference. He apologized for the mistake and wanted to make things right. I appreciate the service and concern.

I was there for replacing brake pads but the technician told me those were fine and I dont need to replace now but can always come back in sometime and they will check again for free and suggest. They could have taken money and done the replacement but were simply honest.Great service.

I came in on the prior Monday, it was between the holidays and was surprised you would be open. I made the appointment a week prior to that the person that answered the phone said you were booked up until Monday and she said I should get there as soon as you opened so I did. Because of the holidays I know I wasnt mistaken about the day or date because I told her I was surprised you were open that Monday.I got there and was basically told it was for the next week.I wanted to go with you guys so I waited, costing me $250+ a week for a rental which I wouldnt have had to do if you would have been up front with me. Im sure she made a simple mistake but I didnt appreciate being told that I was wrong about the date. Again any other time maybe but not that Monday being between the holidays, Ive sent many of my friends to you guys because of your reputation and all around good work and still will. But in my case a simple ( were booked up for 2weeks and cant look at your truck until then) would have saved me a lot of money and time trying to find someone else to put a new motor in my truck.Thank you for your time.

Came in for a power steering pump fix and ended up getting a couple other repairs as well, all of the repairs were done properly using good quality parts with a knowledgeable mechanic named Scott working on my truck, I love the atmosphere and the professionalism shown by these people, ran by an honest man named Brian and he took care of me from the second I needed a diagnose from the second I was heading out, I’d recommend this shop for any type of work needed for this upcoming season. A first-time customer, I was pleasantly surprised how accommodating the people here were. Needed motor mounts. Called to for appointment and was given a date. But when mentioned that I really need to get it fixed a day earlier in order to make an early morning appointment they were able to get the car in and repair it i n time for me to make the appointment. Quality job, too.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Great warranted work, they literally do anything, from oil changes to body repair to heavy duty bug diesel trucks. Awesome staff and they have free pop corn, coffee, water and tea while you wait! Also have vending machines ford other drinks and snacks. Kinda hard to see from the main road tho.

I have been getting my vehicles serviced at Fenkell for over 5 years now and have nothing but positive experiences. They provide quality work, fair pricing, friendly service, thorough safety inspections and quick turn around. Vehicles have always been ready by the time they were promised.

The team at Fenkell changed my car from “sell it for parts” to “sell it as a running and reliable car” for a VERY reasonable price. I had a really bad day made worse by my car beginning to smoke while stuck in construction non-moving traffic in June 2019. I was close to a dealer and thankfully the car made it. The dealer called me with the estimate for repairs of nearly $3,000!!!! 😳 The car was a 2009 and in otherwise great condition, but I had just sunk $2700 in it three months before for other work. At this point it was costing me as much as a car payment on a new car. So I decided I would sell it for parts and began my search for a new car. While searching I had a nagging feeling that perhaps the dealer (not the best reputation) could have been mistaken on their assessment. I received a mailer from Fenkell, saw they were nearby and decided to see if they had a similar diagnosis on the repairs and costs. I could possibly sell it better if I had an idea of what was truly wrong with it. The team at Fenkell got me in right away for an evaluation and they told me the same thing as the dealer as to what was wrong ... sort of, because they could find nothing wrong with the radiator itself, only the difficult parts of the radiator (labor intensive and difficult to work on) their cost to me after the mailer discounts was $709.09. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?!?!? I went from “sell it for parts or donation to the scrap yard“ to having a fully functional van that I could in COMPLETELY good conscious sell. I pulled NADA and Carfax and listed all of the work done along with the guarantee on the work from Fenkell for a nice and fair price to a lovely family. The team at Fenkell helped me make that car whole again at a fair and reasonable price. They delivered what they promised at the date and time they promised. They were fair, honest, courteous, respectful, and kind folks. I have told many people about their wonderful service. I will definitely see them again for my car repair needs. Thank you!

Cant call ahead to schedule an oil change. Every time we get an oil change it takes 1-2 hours. Today it was over 2 hours!! No one else was there to be serviced! Then they tell us the oil pan plug is stripped out and they wont fix it when they are the ones that stripped it out. Instead they want to charge us $400!!!!All of our oil changes and any work we need done is through them because of our warranty. It has been frustrating and disappointing every single time we have been here. The receptionist said couldnt pull up our warranty all of a sudden when they have done it every single time we have gone there. This is absolutely ridiculous and I DO NOT recommend going here.

Weve been lock members for years, so weve saved hundreds of dollars on oil changes, tire rotations and auto repairs. The only reason that I didnt give them 5 stars is that theyre not open late or on weekends, but thats probably good for their employees.

So I had my snow tires installed at the beginning of winter in December. I brought my car there and they installed it with no issues. The problem surfaced as I tried to change back to summer tires... I dont know what they used to install the nuts but it was definitely not torqued correctly. The first wheel I tried to remove had one stuck nut that I heated repeatedly and impacted for 2 minutes with no success. Finally I had to loosen it with a breaker bar. On to the next wheel. Same story one nut that was waaay over tightened and would not budge. Had to use the breaker bar again. The third wheel nuts all came off and were somewhat loose. Then finally the last wheel had 3 nuts all frozen! After spending 2 hours to swap 4 wheels Ive had enough. Someone must have used a super impact gun to install and not a torque wrench. Obviously each nut was installed at various torques which could have distorted my wheels. Luckily I have old Toyota rims that were pretty robust to take the abuse. So long story short be wary of a simple wheel install. They dont use a torque wrench to install properly and just buzzed on with an impact wrench.

It was a simple loose tire patch job but they were swamped right before the Holiday and they had my tire repaired in about 2 hours. The shop was easy to find and the staff was professional and polite. I felt the price was fair.

**CUSTOMERS BEWARE: They allow technicians to work there without their certifications and/or proper training.Service team is mostly clueless about anything automotive. They just throw guesses or wrong information at you and hope you dont catch it.

Horrible service and a waste of time and money. I took my 2017 ford edge in to them for diagnosis after I noticed the check engine light was on, white smoke coming from the exhaust and I could smell antifreeze. I dropped the truck off to them because they couldnt get to it for a few days. When they finally got a chance to look at it I was told that the coils just needed to be switched around and that should fix the problem. I asked if they had diagnosed the antifreeze leak and I was told that they only look at the specific items the customer mentions. I thought thats what diagnose the problem meant. When you take a car/truck in for diagnosis they keep looking until they find the root of the issues. Or am I wrong? So they charge me another $45 for a pressure check of the antifreeze just to lie to me and tell me there was no leak after 20 minutes and that they topped off the antifreeze for me. Why would you need to top it off it wasnt leaking out somewhere?.....So after getting the truck back and spending $135 total for nothing. Surprise! the check engine light comes back on after I had just picked it up a few hours before. I call Fenkell and they have me bring it right back in. It was close to closing time for them and I was assured that if I stayed and waited on the truck they would diagnose and fix it right away. I thought thats what they had done the first time....So I get there and they pull just the front of the truck into the service bay and not even 10 min later I had a service tech telling me that the spark plugs just werent tightened up enough and thats what caused the light to come back, the truck to sputter and give off the smell of antifreeze. I was beside myself with anger! They had my truck in and out of there so fast there was absolutely no way they really looked into the engine light being back on. I honestly believe they just reset the engine light so it would go off temporally. Once again they assured me the truck is just perfect and they had fixed the issue. I wake up the next morning...SURPRISE! Check engine light is back on, its sputtering and I smell antifreeze again. This time I looked at the antifreeze reservoir myself and the level was very low again (its not leaking onto the ground meaning its going somewhere else in the truck that it shouldnt be). So I call Fenkell a little after 8am once again and asked to speak with the service manager. Well the service manager and shop managers were already gone on vacation so I spoke with the general manager. She asked me to bring it right back in and she would have her best mechanic look at it right away. (So who was looking at it before? And why would it take 3 visits just to do a diagnosis and fix of the same issues?). I told her I didnt have another vehicle to keep bringing my truck in there for the same issues that I trusted them to repair during the time they had it. I just cant see trusting them to supposedly fix the issues again just to be disappointed. I also have an extended warranty thats supposed to be have good coverage so Im really confused as to why fixing my truck is such an issue. (By the way, this truck was purchased at Newcombs Auto a few weeks before this check engine light issue and they also said it had been fully inspected and everything passed...)

For the šecond time have nad grega experience at Fenkell. Fixed what needed immediate attention and gave me a list of things that will need attention in the future, ranked in order of importance. Highly reccomend this repair snop.

I got an oil change here, the employees were very helpful and the service was fast. I dropped the car off to them and within 30 minutes I had the car payed for and was driving home.

2021 Update: DO NOT USE! They care more about making $$ then safety of their customer. After $800+ of front end work. Told I need to replace a part that might be covered by manufacturer. That I could easily drive another 1 - 1.5 years safely. 4 weeks later I have a new car. When I sold my old car, I find out I was one bad pot hole away from my whole front end rusting out and breaking off!! I commute between clients that puts me on the road up to 100 miles in a day. I drive a lot. They took my money and allowed me to go out on the road with a car that would not pass any inspection. Worst of all, I asked them if I could just cancel the repairs and just total my car / use the money for a down payment. I would pay for the labor but nothing else. The guy calling to quote excitedly encouraged me the repairs thsy will do will keep my car on road for 6 months. I freak out and explain again this is not acceptable and I do not want a car that could put me in danger or ends up being more in repairs then a car payment. He then puts me on hold, comes back and assures me it would last 1 -1.5 years but I need to get it repaired by then. I should be fine for the next 6 to 8 months without concern. They coerced me into using them and paying for the labor, knowing they just sent me back out on the road with an extremely dangerous car, that could have injured or killed me, worse even another. We decided this is to significant of a situation to never give them another try. They broke our trust at the risk of MY LIFE. Customer for 6+ years. $800 was more important than my safety.2018:Finally had a chance to talk to the owner today. Although Im still not happy with the misquote and the grinding after having my rotors replaced. The general manager was still quicked to rectify my issues. He was polite courteous and recognized the continued business we have brought over the past few years. I appreciate the call and the resolution. I will be trying fenkell again for automotive repairs.

The overall experience was just ok. There were some issue with the timing of the repair but they did get it done on time at the end, the price was reasonable but the staff seem indifferent.
