I do recommend to try all of their flavors and add ons.. tho, only 2 add on is allowed per cup.. Their Ice cream consistency is thick and really flavorful. Just look at that edible glitter sprinkles. Oh so yummy. Well definitely try more. I got mine (petite size $3.25) (regular $5.25) FYI.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They practiced social distancing for those who look for that. The ice cream was delicious and creamy the star of the show were the fresh made waffle cones. The price was very reasonable I highly recommend Big Softie.

This place brings me back to my childhood. It’s simple. Pick your flavor of the creamiest soft serve and then your toppings. They have the most unique toppings as well as the classics like sprinkles, chocolate syrup, etc. I got the classic vanilla with the pink praline topping on a cake cone my first time. It was so good. I went back another time with friends and got the classic vanilla again (why try to change it up if it ain’t broke) but I got a combo of sprinkles and cornflake streusel...incredible. Will be back again and again and again! Koo

My wife and I came here yesterday, and it was our first time going. My wife had the waffle cone with matcha, chocolate hard shell and toasted coconut and she said she really loves it. She said its hard to find a good combination like that. She really loves matcha ice cream. For me I had a waffle cone with peach sorbet and strawberry hard shell with toasted coconut and sprinkles. For me I have to say I have tasted better soft serve ice cream, but never the less its still a nice ice cream place with good service.

First time here and I loved it. Not many flavors of ice cream to choose from, but they do offer many toppings. I had chocolate/vanilla swirl in a cup with hard shell chocolate. This was nothing like I ever tasted. Its not your regular soft serve ice cream. Magnificent!!!

Delicious soft serve with interesting toppings. Fancy sprinkles, great presentation. Had to wait about 25 mins at 3:30 on a Tuesday. But by the time we finished our ice cream, the line was gone. They were serving people from the front door (dining room closed due to pandemic Im sure) so the line was outside the store front. A nice place to wait. There was a patio out back with a few picnic tables. Nice place to stop by for a treat!

Very welcoming ambiance. So-so ice cream quality. I would not recommend the oat ice cream. Also stay away from the strawberry hard shell and caramel sauce. They both have a strange after taste. I dont think there is an issue because the employees really focused on constructing my treat, but it would be great if they moved a little more quickly when they have a line. Marketing makes this feel like artisan soft serve ice cream, the actuality is far different. Find your frozen treat elsewhere. Disliked my selection so much that I didnt even finish it

This has become one of my favorite spots for ice cream! The soft serve is exactly what you want it to be...so smooth and delicious and there are so many interesting toppings. The hardshell is always a favorite of mine even though there are always new things to try since they change up their menu. This has become our go-to ice cream spot!

Big Softie’s is sooo good. So good that now I am contemplating whether soft serve is better than ice cream. I opted for vanilla with the vegan streusel but can not wait to go back to try the other rotating toppings.

They dont put the toppings on correctly. More toppings on my shirt then eaten, and the quality of soft serve taste horrible. I gave them a second chance and it was the same thing each time

We love going to Big Softie! One of the best places for both dairy and non-dairy soft serves. I LOVE their options for hardshells. Their classic vanilla soft serve with chocolate hardshell is awesome! I also love their strawberry hardshell. They also serve the soft serves with toppings if youd like. This place I highly recommended. They have a nice outdoor patio seating in the back and we enjoy taking our dog here too! Very friendly staff and so much to do on this street.

Delicious soft serve and topping choices. The sorbet is really creamy but only seasonal so get it while you can! I will say that the serving amounts can be inconsistent and hollow in the centre, so maybe upsize to avoid disappointment :).

Classic soft serve done SO right. Portions + topping were generous - I got a vanilla sundae with chocolate cookie crumbs, chocolate pearls, and caramel sauce. Rich and decadent without being sickly sweet or the least bit fake tasting. Absolute perfection - you can taste the quality and care they put into each order!

So good! We got two petite soft serves (still a healthy serving), dipped with sprinkles for just under $10. For the quality and size we both thought it was quite reasonable. Had to wait in a bit of a line, but it moved fairly quickly and was worth the wait. We enjoyed our matcha and vanilla ice cream. The vegan options we sampled were pretty good too. Their sprinkles are also the best tasting sprinkles weve ever had. Eager to go back and try their passion fruit hard shell as the strawberry one was so delicious!

We visited this gem in our neighborhood yesterday and we were so pleased! Kids were tickled we got ice cream after school and the amount of pretty sprinkles they got, which were free. I throughly enjoyed my maple ice cream with toffee and walnuts with caramel sauce. So delicious!

It’s soft serve ice cream. Only 4 flavours available: vanilla, vegan vanilla, chocolate & coffee. You add toppings, and they make their own in-house sugar cones. I found the small size more than enough. I didn’t find the toppings that fresh, but the quality of ice cream was good. Cute decor.

My husband and I absolutely love this place! The vegan oat is delicious no matter how you top it. I was so thrilled to find out that they have a vegan ice cream sammie but was so disappointed in the taste of the sugar cookie 😩. It was so salty and overpowered the taste of everything else. I still will be back every week for my vegan oat on a cake cone though! Definitely check this place out, worth the hype!

This is one of my favorite new spots in Atlanta. This soft-serve ice cream shop is located in Summerhill amongst all the new development -- just next to Little Tart Bakeshop and Halfway Crooks. I visited Big Softie three times over the last few weeks because i had such a good experience. Their standard flavors are fantastic, but I highly recommend any of their specials. Last week I had Maple and in December I got to try a Turmeric/Cinnamon/Ginger blend that was out of this world. I will definitely be checking back to see what else pops up on the menu. The prices are reasonable; splurge for the toppings -- well worth the extra. This place is also doing a great job of following CDC guidelines: there is outdoor space to wait, they require masks, and they only allow limited people inside at a time. I will be back!

The ice cream and topping combos are very tasty, but the service and speed leaves a lot to be desired. Multiple times we’ve gone, including today, we’ll show up and there will be a line of 2 customers in front of us, yet the wait to get soft serve is 20 minutes (!?!). Seems like something in their process is very gummed up.

I was with a really embarrassing person when i came here. Unfortunately for both of us I am also really embarrassing. Im sorry for anyone who may have seen us outside big softie that day, and to the folks working. Ill try to do better next time. Delicious and worth the price.

The ice cream is really good but the service is sloooooooooow. We waited in line for 45 minutes for ice cream and the line was really not that long. There were two people there but only one person working at time.

Im originally from NY and when it comes to ice cream I prefer soft serve. Ive been around the Atlanta area for a few years now and have been searching for a great soft serve spot. This is it. Ive tried dozens of places and this is definitely the best. They offer great soft serve and some great toppings (I recommend the chocolate crunch pearls) and the service has been consistently great even during the pandemic. Highly recommend!

Flies were over the toppings which didnt have a cover. I didnt like the after taste that the ice milk left in my mouth.

Me and my family recently took notice to this place in the last few months due to upgrades made in the area. And honestly we think this place is great! However, due to the extreme wait time in line during hot humid days I don’t believe an “tip” is necessary on $5-$7 dollars ice cream. So I declined, and once our order was ready kindly asked for “two cups” of water. The way I’d just seen a man carry over to his Caucasian family of 4 to quench their thirsts (along with ice creams) and not to mention lids and green straws. As me and my teen daughter walk by with uncovered Luke warm water spilling over from tap. In a pandemic 😫This may have been an misunderstanding yet, this still needs to be noted.Heres the tip you wanted: My daughter was unpleasantly hot waiting in your line please dont make enjoying a ice cream be about color too!

It’s pretty basic soft serve with a super limited menu, they had like 4 flavors and one of them was vegan.The strawberry topping was good, but they did not give you very much of it. Definitely not enough for the amount of ice-cream.Overall I would say it’s not worth the wait, drive, or the money.

Dont think youre stopping by to pick up a quick cone. they take forever on a single cone from a machine and the line then gets quite backed up. if they could figure out the service thing definitely 5 stars

You know the expression, its better to do 4 things well than 31 poorly? Big Softies homemade soft serve, toppings, and dips, are all flavorful and rich - and original.Overall I would say its worth the (quickly moving) line and the money. Its really amazing.

This is a simple but solid ice cream shop. They dont overwhelm you with a bunch of choices they just focus on putting out a good quality product. Still there are multitude of options here.

The higher prices here are justified. Just like their sister shop Little Tart, all the details are thoughtfully crafted to deliver a soft-serve surge of quality & flavor. Personally I like to see the shorter menu; it means each flavor and topping is exceptional. Recently I had the chocolate with house-made (!) passion fruit (!!) hard shell and the pink almond praline topping 🤤 and I savored every bite. Treat yourself and your date!

Really enjoyed the root beer float with the vegan vanilla option, which is coconut and oat based. So happy I was able to treat myself without the guilt or possible unhappy tummy! Will be back very soon!

Hands down the best ice cream shop in the city! Vegan options, hard shell is fantastic, waffle cones are fresh. The atmosphere is so modern and sweet. Parking is nearby and free, front of store is handicap accessible.

I found this little gem of an ice cream shop not too far from my neighborhood and I was thoroughly impressed with the vegan options the cleanliness and the quality of the non-dairy selections. Very yummy and detectable.

Absolutely my fave dessert in Atlanta! The vegan oat vanilla soft serve is just the right amount of sweet and super creamy. Topics are pure perfection - simple and unique and flavorful. The cacao nib brittle is out of this world and love the cornflake and oat crunch. A must!!

I love love love this place! So glad that they are within walking distance from where I live. Love the items they have Been adding sense they opened. Wish they had some cookie sandwich options and also if they could have a version with no salt on it as well.The vegan friendly opinions are delicious and it seems every few weeks they rotate new flavors in. The Thai tea flavor is amazing! No only two complaints are I wish they would dip their ice cream into the chocolate/strawberry/caramel dip they have (hard delicious shell) and second wish they would roll their ice cream cones in the toppings. However I get it for dietary issues they dont do these things is my guess..but aside from that you should absolutely go here and support them!

Great soft serve. I had the ice cream sandwich. Kids had soft serve cones with toppings. The place had a nice line, moved pretty quickly. The service wasnt awesome. There was one girl there who didnt really look like she was having a nice time. Other than that, quite lovely. Super cute trendy part of town, up and coming. Summerhill is a great neighborhood. Gentrification is solidly underway there.

Nice to have a local soft serve place around. Good selection of toppings. To the people complaining about lack of flavors, how many flavors do you want? Its soft serve, you get chocolate or vanilla and either dip it or top it. Friendly staff and good decor gives it a small town feel.

If you haven’t tried Big Softie yet—DO IT IMMEDIATELY!! or at least check them out this weekend. It is the best ice cream I’ve had since we used to make it at home with a hand crank and rock salt. And of course their waffle cones are the best ever too, coming from an amazing baker. I love the pink praline topping and my kids love the honey comb.

Love this place! I’m gluten and dairy-free and can safely say this is my favorite vegan ice cream I’ve ever had! Most of the toppings are gluten-free as well, definitely recommend the sprinkles and the peanut crunch stuff! Went there once so far, but I will for sure be a regular.

Great little shop with good flavors. The customer service could have been a little better, all the ladies seem to have no cheer nor enthusiasm when speaking and serving especially with my children. And not a single one smiled. Its as though they were unhappy to be there and serve. 3 stars for ice cream alone. I would love to go back but the attitude and service is enough to make me think twice.
