Didnt know that I was going to be in for such a sensory overload when I walked in. Looking for beaded fabric for a project but finally so much more. The zebra print fabric was exactly what I needed and I will definitely be coming back to give more of the other two fabric choices that I made so that I can finish making the covers for my new sofa. So absolutely well worth the drive I cant wait to get back.

Best place to go get fabric for any sewing adventure. If youve seen project runway, you know Mood...this place is exactly the same with thousands of bolts to choose from. And the pricing is extremely agreeable for what you buy, Ive never felt more comfortable going to a fabric store knowing Im going to find the perfect material for a project. The parking is somewhat limited, but the service inside is exceptional.

Centrally located, good hours and a great variety of fabric. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are also very competitive. I managed to get a great price on Denim fabric for a backdrop.

This place is incredible for finding unusual fabrics, buttons, and hard to find items. The people that work there are super helpful, nice, and friendly. If you are having a hard time finding items related to sewing and fabrics, just go to Gail K fabrics.

Gail K may be annoying to get to because the road it on is so busy all the time. BUT they have a better selection and for a cheaper price than any larger chain. 10/10 recommend.

If you cosplay, this is the store to go for fabrics. The selection is really good and the prices are lower than many other stores. Helpful owners and staff make for a great experience. My wife picked up a couple of yards of fabric that would have cost a lot more at any other place.

Cool place with tons of hard to find items.

Best garment fabric store in Atlanta. They have a lot of customers returning over and over again and they treat them like family. There are a lot of very high-end Fabrics at competitive prices. Not cheap, but I believe quite fair for the quality. They also let you buy way less than a full yard. Theres a good selection of spandex and other types of stretch Fabrics. Also plenty of polyester chiffon silk chiffon and all kinds of high-end fabrics for prom wedding Etc.

I came to the store and the available staff had assisted me to get the material I needed in a matter of minutes! The prices were reasonable in comparison to other stores. Of course, you do have to keep in mind that all sales are final. It has a sign posted and it doesnt open on Mondays. Other than that, call in to the store before you go.

Beautiful fabrics and trim, I come from out of town just to visit! Wonderful silks, wools, and cotton shirtings especially. Such a treat to visit a store which specializes in high quality apparel fabric.

Gail k is a good place for your extravagant fabrics, stones, and trims for special and ready to wear fashion. It can take a awhile to go thru the masses of fabric choices. I go for special occasions prom, evening wear, wedding etc.

Must go if you love fabric. Youll be in Nirvana. Everyone (almost) is friendly and helpful. Lots of excellent choices. Something at every price point. Youve gone to button heaven. Only four stars because they are not near me.

One of the only decent fabric stores for clothing in the South east. They offer really nice fabrics, like silk, heavily embroidered fabrics, and bridal fabrics. Its a little cramped and hard to move around the store when its busy... The location is pretty hard to get in and out of and traffic is always an issue. But I drove from Charleston, SC to get my fabric here, twice. Worth it.

I was here 2 years ago, i remember that time this store was better i thin i found more quality fabric than now. Staff is very friendly and has sense of humor, i really dont want to say any bad thing about the store. i just would like to give advice for bespoke or quality dressmakers. I am professional pattern and dressmaker if i am looking for fabric i focus on good quality fabric like silk or acetate or rayon, cotton satin. I think if somebody pay for custom made dress or wedding dress desirve the best fabric, no polyester. Well this store not carryon so much choose. Acetate lining was 2 color in the whole store but who make bespoke suit i suggest for come to here because the wool fabric has a lot and very nice fabric. Lace for wedding over price like most silk i order from New York and a silk has almost half price. Most lace almost 70$ or more i buy exactly same lace on eBay again half price. Other example 10 yard 2 horsehair trim cost 85$ then like eBay 50 yard 15$. This is a different price. For Chanel costume wool pr tweed fabric choose very poor compare for 2 years ago how much choose they have. If u home sewer or just hobby is good for u. Couple time a year good if u stop and maybe find some good fabric. But professional sample maker or bespoke tailor i suggest order for other place or check a price before u buy anything .

Has to be the best in Atlanta and not only that but most likely the south east. Its lined wall to wall with bolts of fabrics. Its all well labeled and sorted for the most part but it has a true classic fabric store vibe. You walk in and are engulfed by the atmosphere. Not a department store for fabric. The staff is very accommodating and helpful.

This store has an amazing selection of apparel fabric. The prices were affordable (for me) They have every color and type you can think of and any button or fixing you could ever think you need. I didnt see much upholstery fabric but then again I wasnt there for that. I was in the store for two hours my first time and I still dont believe I saw everything but I was tired of looking by that point. The service was nice but not that pretend over friendly type. They say hi but they dont really bother you unless you need something. Ive been shopping at Joanns for fabric for years but after discovering this place Ill probably only go to Joanns for emergency purchases. Gail K is apparel fabric heaven!

Unlike big box retailers that cater to quilters, this store is primarily for clothing sewists.The staff are professionals. Extremely experienced and knowledgeable.They have so many silks, woolens, linens, poly chiffons, shirtings, organzas, suiting, bathing suiting, knits, and much more.Now, in this day and age, it is not surprising that they carry an awful lot of synthetic fabrics and glittery stuff for formal and casual wear, but natural materials are well represented.The sewing notions abound. The buttons alone boggle my mind. Its hard to leave, because shopping here is so absorbing.Small complaints:You wont find much lawn, gauze, batiste, or other non-knit, drapey cottons.The stock is cramped and somewhat jumbled, though the sections are well-defined.I often need help to excavate what I want, but the staff people are very calm and ready to help.The hours are short and vary on different days of the week, so I dont make the trip unless Im sure theyll stay open long enough for me to shop.Its a dangerous place to go on a tight budget, everything is so beautiful and tempting. On the other hand, theyll have the items and input you need to make unique, beautiful, handmade and me-made clothes.

Many fabrics to choose from. Staff is helpful in answering questions about types of fabrics. If Im browsing for too long staff will ask if I need assistance. I almost always make a purchase when I visit. Parking is scarce which is why I gave it only three stars. I will be going back.

Overwhelming, fantastic fabric store! Beginner or expert, you can find almost anything here. Staff is helpful and nice. This location is open Sunday but only 12-4 and 5 most other days except Monday (closed) so be sure to check hours before you go. And allow your self time to peruse.

They pack so much in that tiny shop. Amazing fanrics, notions, accessories. I always get so distracted when I go in for something. Luckily everyone there knows their stuff. Prices are great too.

This store has a bad aroma.It does have a lot of fabric. Im quite sure there is some great stuff in there if you can find it. The fabric is stacked and piled everywhere. You can barely walk through the place. Im surprised it hasnt been shut down by the fire department.

This was literally the only store within a 50mi radius with illusion mesh!!! To my surprise, they also had EVERYTHING else I needed too and in such a wide selection!! Sequin, crystals, fringe, ANYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF! At first, I thought the staff was rude because they were quite but as I asked questions, they were VERY helpful and even made me laugh! This fabric store looked like heaven to me as a newbie to the world of sewing. Almost every sort of fabric you could think of is here...and theyre all calling out for you to take them home and use them to make something fabulous. Ive heard complaints about the prices. While some items are a bit expensive, Ive found tons of cute fabrics for around $8-$10/yard. And I have less of a chance of seeing someone with the same fabric I picked up from Hancock or Jo-Ann. I can definitely get lost in here, and not just because theres a lot of merchandise crammed in there.

OMG. Fabric Nirvana. A REAL fabric store.This is a place for people who really like fabric. Who really like to sew. This is not Jo-Anns or Hobby Lobby or one of those namby-pamby chain-store places. This is for real sewers and fashion lovers. Ive loved this place from the moment I walked in, nearly 20 years ago. Its one of my favorite places, if not my very favorite place to go in Atlanta when Im feeling down, or up, or in the middle. I just adore it.And no, its not that expensive. I mean, what do you expect to pay-$2 a yard for gorgeous wool or silk? Get real, people! Most places you cant even get natural fibers anymore. They have plenty of lower priced options. Obviously, if you want hand beaded French lace, youre going to pay the paper. Might I add I, however, I see very few people wearing French lace these days 😩.Trust me theyve got something you will love that you can afford . so just go check it out.Oh and no, its not particularly organized. Thats how real fabric stores are. Deal with it. Its organized enough you can find stuff. Theyve got a ton of stuff-thats the main problem which to fabric freaks like me is not a problem. And if youre looking for something specific, just ASK the people who work there! They will help you, and somehow they know exactly where the fabric you want is. Its truly amazing.And yes, there is actually a Gail K, and she still works there a few days a week. I love that woman. She loves her fabrics and thats a joy to see. 💗💗💗

Gail K has an awesome selection at very good prices - you just need to be prepared to hunt and pull bolts! I have found great silks, wools, linens and cottons - and this is one of the few fabric stores where you can still find rayon sheath linings.

They are the only place in Atlanta that I know of that has a large selection of apparel fabric. If you are trying to make clothes this is the place you go to. At first it looks to be an unorganized hot mess but I think there is a method to the madness. Just be ready to search for what you are looking for.

I love this store, embellishments galore, if you can think it, they will probably have the supplies that you will need to create it. The staff is friendly, and helpful.
