Incredibly wide selection of fabrics!! The service was excellent, with a couple of employees helping me decide the best fabric for the reupholstery of my dining chairs. They were very informative and patient, and gave good design input. The price of the fabric was great too. The best part was how careful they were about being safe and wearing masks. As someone who is very concerned about getting sick, I was super relieved by the consideration of employees to customers. Thank you!

Forsyth Fabrics has been my go to place ever since moving to ATL over 2 decades ago.They have moved locations close by the original shop. Forsyth has the best, current, selection of fabrics, especially for upholstery, and their prices are very competitive. Check them out.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was looking for fabrics to cover my daybed. I wanted them to make the cover and the pillows. They helped me pick out the fabrics for the daybed and covers. They made the daybed cover reversible and some of the pillows.

When my wife and I arrived at Forsyth Fabrics, some of the staff was outside looking at the recent eclipse. They was so nice to share their glasses with us and allowed us to take pictures looking at the eclipse. Once we got inside and started looking for fabrics, Fredericka went above and beyond making sure we found what we needed. Disappointed in Forsyth as to the changes in store. Many fabrics are now order only with a $15 handling fee for anything under 25 yards. Many dated bolts still in store. But still consistently good selection of high quality upholstery and drapery fabrics there at competitive price.

Under new ownership according to a sign out front; very few customers. I bought some very expensive trim today and found that it didn’t match the fabric I intended to pair it with. I took it back the same day, and they refused to take it back because “we don’t take trim back once it’s cut”. No signs are posted saying that, and none of the 3 guys who helped me told me about that policy. Nice customer service, new owners!

My 1st visit was so overwhelming. There was so, so many options. Beautiful fabrics!! This was my 2nd visit and this time I was prepared. I am new to this upholstery so I figured to do 1 room at a time.

I did not have a good experience with Forsyth Fabric. I had a store credit for over $100 and it was supposed to be honored for 4 years. When I went in to redeem it they did not honor it. Also, the reason I had the store credit in the first place is because I bought trim, but they didn’t have enough and they were going to order more. They found out that they couldn’t order more of the trim so I didn’t have enough and they would only give me a store credit. I should have been given a refund because they were unable to get me the amount I needed. Poor customer service on top of that. I also think their fabrics are out dated compared to the selection at nearby fabric stores. I would not choose Forsyth Fabrics if I were to start another project.

I have done business with Forsyth Fabrics multiple times. My initial experience was flawless and conducted very professionally. However, EVERY encounter since, has been less than pleasant OR professional. The employees conducting business over the phone are rarely polite and act as if it is burden to be handling your order. If you are placing any orders over the phone, be warned. You will have to place a second call in order to receive a total or confirmation of your order--the reasoning behind that, I still do not know. Not only are they unpleasant via telephone, dont expect any less in person. Negative attitudes are radiating from the majority of the employees, and it will only heighten if you ask them any questions outside of cutting you yardage. As in any situation, I am certain that there are kind employees working at Forsyth Fabrics, but I have yet to meet any. Should I ever consider doing business with them again, I hope to meet those souls.

The only place where i purchase my fabric i refuse to go anywhere else the staff is great i visit amost once a week and i usually have my twins with me and they always try to help me get in and out as fast as possible

I typically write reviews much sooner but with a busy schedule being a business owner, I typically check in and then write the reviews on the weekends when I have time.My spouse and I bought fabric from this place last year and then decided to take our 50+ year old Pierre Cardin MCM chairs there to be reupholstered. Lets just say other than the clerk the rest of the entire experience was a nightmare which ended with me having to get legal counsel who represents my business to to step in and start legal action.We dropped off these chairs in perfect condition however we didnt like the color of fabric on them when we bought them and wanted to update the color. The fabric we purchased from there was great but the upholstery job was a nightmare. When we dropped them off we were very specific that we did want the vintage and original Pierre Cardin labels removed from the bottom of the chair. When they did the job the literally bolted the back of the chairs back on thru the new fabric and removed the original labels. Had they done them correctly the bolts should have been underneath the fabric and not thru the fabric and the original labels in tack.After learning of this I had to start dealing with the owner which was a nightmare. He agreed that the job was botched but that we must still pay full price for the work even though they caused damages to the chair by removing the antique labels that resulted in a great lose of value. This is where our attorneys had to step in and mediate for us. Ultimately the owner wanted fully compensated for their botched job even though they caused our chairs to loose over $1000 in value much more than the upholstery cost. I truly believe we would still be dealing with this today had our attorney not intervened and held his feet to the fire. We ended up not having to sue them because the owner finally got over his cocky arrogance and understood harm had been done to our property. He finally agreed to turn over the chairs and we would go our separate ways.I WOULD NOT recommend taking any items to be upholstered to this shop. There are other shops in the area such as Century Upholstery or Lewis & Sharon Textiles that do amazing jobs...BEWARE this place botched a job on our 50+ year MCM chairs which resulted in loss of value and they didnt believe they did anything wrong even though they didnt follow directions on the work order.

My previous review had been deleted. Not happy at all with forsythe fabrics. I ordered some fabric online when it arrived it was grungy. Really awful. Called several times no return phone calls. Finally got thru pretty much no returns period but we can offer you a discount for your next purchase. Haha there will be no next purchase!!! Expensive and a waste of money. Never again. Please do not delete reviews they are important for customers
