The most unique fun Ive experienced with my family and friends. I couldnt wait to write a review. We had a candle making class today, booked and paid for, at 2pm. Although our entire party was not there the hostess was gracious to wait a few minutes. The instructions were clear and concise and there were a ton of options to choose from. The environment was clean and everyone was welcoming.After our party of 9 finished making candles we went for dinner at the Hudson Grille (NOT THE GREATEST)up the street. Our service and food took so long that we were able to walk back to the candle shop 2 hours later, and retrieve our beautiful candles. They ALL smelled amazing and looked great!!! Thanks for an awesome experience.

Came here for my birthday and I loved everything about this place. The fragrances all smelt so lovely. Our candles came out so nice and smelt so great. Definitely recommend for a group or date night or even if you want to come alone ! & we got to name them.

Im a little torn about my experience here. I do love the candle that I made and I think its a cute shop. Found out it was run by a Black family and that is a charming aspect and I like to support. HOWEVER, we booked our candle making class, and I have to agree with some of the other reviews that its not very interactive and the hosts were very low energy. I wish during the experience we were being educated, like maybe about different kinds of waxes and wicks, or about fragrances and how to create certain scents, or safety..... something.... anything. They couldve even gave us a history about the shop and their story. But instead the hosts only told us what to do in the most generic way as of they were reading off directions. No jokes or laughter or conversation from them. They werent necessarily rude, but its not what I imagined for a class. The other guests were more interactive than the hosts. I would buy from the store again, but I dont think I would do another class here for that reason. I just expected more.

The experience was very fun. Im SUPER in love with the scents my girlfriend and I created but the candles dont seem to burn to the edges rather they burn down the wick. I dont know how to fix it or why it happened but thats not really a factor i care about. I can easily pull the wax out and create wax melts. Otherwise, great place to go! +its black owned, love that!

Very pleasant experience...I came here for a birthday party candle making class it was very fun and the owners were very gracious to allow us to set up food for our birthday girl! The candles smell wonderful and the class overall was very fun and informative.

I was so late to my appointment but these young ladies were so nice they still allowed me to come in and make my candle (to consider their time I moved as fast as I could). I mixed white sage with lavender and named it tranquility! It was a 2 hour wait for my candle to dry (or you can come back within 3 days to pickup). It was a great vibe in their and always glad to support a black business!

My friend and I signed up for a class this past Friday. I had seen someone make about this place and we decided it looked super fun. I had a wonderfulExperience! Our instructor was nice and personable. My candle smells incredible. The price is super reasonable, we did the $25 candle. That’s about what I would pay for a bath and body works candle but these are way higher quality. I will definitely be back!

The concept behind this is dope. The experience was meh. Came here a few weeks ago and made a candle with a friend. The employees are very lack luster. No introduction, explanation, story lines, nothing but instructions. Just now burning my candle and so very disappointed. Extremely faint. I want to support black business but you can get better candles for a fraction of the cost elsewhere.

This place just opened but these young entrepreneurs are doing amazing things on their community and are super smart. We had a blast and would highly recommend supporting this BB in L5Ps.

I have mixed reviews of this business. I went for a group in person candle making session. First of all, they were not set up when we arrived. After the set up, my space was miss some of the key elements of making the candle. The instructor/owner was lacking in customer service. She was not engaging with the group. One person in the group needed to use the bathroom and was told that they do not allow customers to use the bathroom and told her to go somewhere else. Remember we were there for a private event where we paid $35 plus tax and a service fee to be there. $40 in all, but we could not use the bathroom. There were 9 ladies in attendance. THIS WAS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Next several people wanted to make 2 candles. When she started quoting the prices, most people declined. So we already paid to be there, then there was a $15 additional charge if you wanted a nicer candle vessel (other than the standard plain jar). If you wanted to make the plain candle the we paid for in the $40, and to make a second candle in the nicer container, it was $15 for the nicer container and an ADDITIONAL $28 for additional candle wax and fragrance. WHAT??? Apparently, the owner/instructor did not want to do this because she priced it so high that most people declined. It was Ok, but I wont be back and wont recommend. I tried.

My fiancé took me on a date here last week for a candle making class and we had a blast! We both love our candles. The selection of upgrades is awesome and the staff who helped us were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We had fun browsing the store afterwards and are also so happy with the wax warmer and melts we got. We will be back!

I wanted to support a black business and try something new oh and it was my birthday. I paid for a private event for 10 people and when my friends arrived they asked to use the restroom and were told they could use the facilities at another business nearby. Myself or my friends were never permitted to use the restroom and even told there is none. I was never asked what I was celebrating. My group of friends was great but none of us will be returning or recommending this as a place to go. Don’t ask to use the restroom. Very disappointed!!!!

I really enjoyed myself and party of 5 for candle making. It was so relaxing and it was fun smelling scents to create your candle masterpiece. The instructor was very cool and helped us blend the smells. I def want to come back and I highly recommend taking the class. I upgraded my jar for $10 more and I love my candle scent.Good for date night or just to chill with friends/ family.

7 of us visited after 1 of us had a great previous experience. Today, our instructor had very low energy, she didn’t even introduce herself. The instructor did not interact very much. I asked for the WiFi password and she didn’t know it. She asked a coworker for the password and the coworker didn’t know it either. Neither of them made any efforts to find it. The instructor told us step by step what to do but there were no further tips or explanations as to why we were doing what we were doing or why certain things needed to happen. They reached between us and over us without excusing themselves repeatedly. I was offered an oil/scent but there wasn’t any in the bottle. I asked for the bottle to be refilled and was told they didn’t have it. I ended up just settling for a scent for the sake of making a candle and not wasting out money. I have no desire to come back here.

I’m so very proud of these young people! They work very hard and provide excellent service.

Bear and Honey hosted my 28th birthday party, and it was amazing! The party was at 8 p.m., so the store was closed to the public. My friends and I loved picking out our candle scents, learning about candle making and having the store to ourselves to shop. The instructors were very knowledgeable and fun. We were also able to bring our own wine and desserts. And the space is beautiful!! Would highly recommend booking a private candle making party!

We decided to sign up for the private candle making class for a girls night. We had an amazing time! The staff was friendly, there were so many scents to choose from and the whole experience was great! We all enjoyed it so much. Thank you!

Was very excited to come here because I so wanted to support the young people in entrepreneurship, however their business skills leave MUCH to be desired. When we arrived our instructor didnt introduce herself, in fact I dont even think we were welcomed. The music choice was loud lewd and very offensive. The constant cursing was unbearable. Our instructor had on a mask and we could hardly hear her and kept asking her to repeat herself. So my husband told her about the music being too loud for us to hear her and she acted as if he said nothing. She couldnt tell us anything about the oils and the different scents. I really want them to be successful and provide a true candle making experience but I cant say that Ill be back or recommend.

BEST CANDLE SHOP IN THE WORLD SERIOUSLY. Wonderful customer service and even better products!! The store is just a wonderful place to be in and smell better than everything. This place is definitely a MUST STOP when riding through Little 5 Points.

UPDATE: My candle still hasnt arrived. Its been over 5 weeks since I took the class.Don’t bother with the candle-making class if it’s after 5pm. At the end of the 30-minute class they told us our candles would be ready in 2 hours but they were closing soon so we could pick up our candles from the store within the next few days. I don’t live close by so they said they could ship it for an extra $10. My class was over a month ago and I still haven’t received my candle. I messaged them about it and they said they shipped it over 2 weeks ago. I don’t know where it is or if I’ll ever actually receive it.

Went on a Tuesday afternoon and was able to do a walk in candle making class. The young women working were all very sweet and helpful. A great experience.

Very unprofessional from the moment we walked in ... booked for private party which was poorly hosted and managed by teens ... Almost every person in the party paid for additional candles because we did at least try to make the best of the experience and really enjoyed the oils and smells... however that party was may 2 and it is now may 24th and we haven’t received a single candle due to (weather) however the website led us to believe we would be taking candles with us not leaving them and paying for shipping being that we were all from out of time ! The “mamager” is very passive and wasn’t empathic to the circumstances or concerns the entire party had. I really hope to recurve the candles I purchased otherwise I’ll be demanding a refund !

Cute little candle shop...but the 40.00 candle I purchased didn’t burn and had no scent. Very disappointed 😞 I wanted to support this Black owned business but sadly I feel jaded, and won’t be back. I’ll stick to buying candles at Marshall’s for a third of the cost.

Absolutely the best candle Ive purchased! The candle fragrance filled my entire house without being overpowering!!! The store Is warm and inviting. They will be my go to candle company!

I showed up for my noon candle class with my mom and sister (their Christmas gift) and no one was there! I confirmed our reservations 3 days in advance on the phone as well.

My boyfriend and I took this class on Saturday and it was great! I think he enjoyed it just as much as I did if not more lol The ladies working the store were nice and made it a great experience. There was some confusion on the class time I had booked but they accommodated with no issue.
