Fantastic items in this shop! Cant decide if I like the wood carved bowls or pottery more, and the blown glass is wonderful. Lovely helpful staff as well.

This is one of three locations in the Asheville area. This particular store has a very friendly staff. The larger location is close by just a mile North of route 70 on the Blue ridge parkway. Absolutely beautiful craft items

If you like gorgeous handmade crafts and jewelry this place is for you. Lots of gifts- from reasonably priced to high end. Friendly personnel. I can spend hours looking at the jewelry gathering ideas in my head for my own jewelry making.

Beautiful crafts made by Southern artisans. Some crafts are production made such as Blenko Glassware and Stuart Nye. The price point levels are fairly high. Nice pottery selection.

This place is unquestionably one of the many gems of the blue ridge - I like the fact that it boasts all different types of crafts; blacksmithing, painting, woodwork, textiles, etc. Mixed in with historical displays/context from the area, so theres definitely something to interest everyone. Two things that make it stand out though are that everything is done by (and so supports) local artisans (and/or their schools) and many of the things youll see are for sale. This is NOT, however a chintzy flea market - this is a serious, respected museum and heritage center where people who excel at what have become somewhat lost arts are able to display and be recognized for their work (and this is top-notch work). As a blacksmith and restorationist myself, I have an earnest appreciation for the hard work that goes into this endeavor. Its easy to get to and is definitely worth getting out to see; the blue ridge has a rich and impressive history and a wealth of unique individuals who really have something of value to share. I was glad I took the time to visit - it was definitely time well spent!

A must visit when in the area. Make a purchase from a local artist that may one day become a family heirloom and pass on the cheap stuff from the big box home stores. Quality is what you will find here and the inventory is always changing!
