I needed some hiking shoes, decided to go to Chimney Rock the next day. I stopped in to check out their selection. I tried on Merrell, Keens, and Solomon and then settled on the Solomon (great shoe, performed perfectly on the hike). The price on the shoes was a good price so I was very happy to find out they were $20 less when I checked out. Good selection and friendly service. A perfect shopping experience.

Cute little outdoor store. You can find some great here but I wouldnt go and plan to get outfitted sure to the limited staff and great selection.

A nice store downtown with a good selection of clothing and gear for both casual wear and adventure. The friendly, helpful staff members are available to answer your questions or help you find what you need. Its hard not to buy more than you need with so many good items available!

Great spot to get some clothing and light outdoor gear

Matt (I hope thats his name) provided us the absolute best service we have experienced in a retail environment. He was attentive and thoughtful. While we were shopping at least 15-20 customers came through and greeted each of them in the same friendly manner.

Ashevilles coolest store! Not as large of a selection as the flagship, but great staff and conveniently located near everything in downtown.

I know its only a small amount but the cashier charged me 2.50 on items that were on the counter marked 1.25 and I even asked if that was the price both buying them. Idk if it was a register error or what. I couldnt see an itemized list before I was asked to pay bc I wouldve noticed instantly and NOT bought the items -_-

I was disappointed in this store, which is probably my fault, bc I was expecting lots of gear. Very very minimal gear, but lots of clothing and gifts.

Lots of stuff packed into a small shop. Neat and tidy so it works. Staff are nice. Prices are what you expect from a brand outdoors store. When they have sales you can snag some good deals. Will visit again!

This is a great outfitter, with friendly, helpful staff and great selection.Being that this is Asheville, a lot of the merchandise was centered on hiking / climbing and other mountaineering-related activities. Fortunately, thats exactly what I was after.Prices are reasonable for quality gear, and the store is easy to find if youre walking around the downtown area.

This was a really nice store in downtown. Its like a slightly more expensive version of REI, but really only the clothing and shoe section. They had things like hammocks and cups and candles, too. Staff was very friendly!

A lot like Mast General up the road. Both over, over priced. I remember when Diamond Brand were located outside of Asheville. Very good items that the average camper and hiker could afford.

Got a pair of Prana hiking pants here for a fair price. Best part was that the guy working at the front desk was able to suggest lots of places to go hiking, both near and far, harder and easier. Definitely would go here for my future hiking needs

Visited the store to find a pair of sunglasses. The sales associates, Robyn and Nathaniel, were of great help! They were very knowledgeable of the products. They went above and beyond my expectations with customer service. It is a rarity to find retail associates who, not only are well educated on their products, but who take personal care for their customer.

Asheville is a second home to me and this place is always a joy to go in. The staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable about the gear. Ron was a joy to talk with and a great employee who was very helpful on my most recent trip there. You guys provide great customer service and it keeps me coming back, even though I work for REI and can get gear there, Diamond Brand is always a place I end up shopping at instead!
