I was in Asheville for a couple of days from out of town. Dropped in here without an appointment and they were able to get 2 new tires put on for me in a couple of hours. Service was great and fast. Thank you for making it so easy!

We had a flat tire during a summer vacation to Asheville and these folks helped us get fixed and back on the road. Not knowing where to go for help, we called several shops about our hard-to-find tire. This shop had the shortest wait and the best price to install. They were great about communicating with us until the tire arrived. Everyone in the shop was friendly and helpful, even the other customers in the waiting area. I honestly have never had such kind service at an auto repair shop. Highly recommended.

Dropped the car for new tires in July 2021 and no sooner than I sat down w/ a coffee up the street 20 mins later, I got the call my tires were on & ready. Blazing fast. Jan (himself) took the time w/ me to discuss various tires & didnt rush or pressure me at all. His whole crew is beyond courteous and are the no-BS types - they really are unique in AVL. We were in from out of town and hit a pothole, which bent my rim. Rich was able to expedite the rim repair the same day, as we were leaving the next morning. I live outside of Greensboro, NC and had to drive to Knoxville to pick up a car that needed emissions inspecting. After a long day of driving, I wanted to stop in Asheville on my return (half way point home) and chose Jan Davis Tire bc of their good reviews online and proximity to downtown. They didn’t disappoint. They were friendly, professional, honest and most of all *accommodating* on a Friday afternoon when I called on such short notice. Location is perfect for walking downtown while work was being done and they called promptly after it was finished for pick up (at my convenience) before closing. I highly recommend this business and would use them again without any hesitation if I’m back in the area and needed tires or other car service needs.

Neither words nor stars can express the truly exceptional level of service at Jan Davis Tire. My son and I recently returned to visit my hometown of AVL from Chattanooga and our 16 year old Subaru started making a terrifying noise on the river route. Despite having more than enough to do on the books, they found the time to drive it, diagnose the problem, and order the part right away...because it was a safety issue and we only had a few days to visit.The owners were out of town, but their son and their staff took care of us like we were family. A happy ending: We experienced a scary blowout at night on an unfamiliar freeway hundreds of miles from home. We took the tire in to Jan Davis, and they replaced it with a good used one at a very reasonable price. Being from out of state and not a regular customer, we could have been taken advantage of. Fantastic! We were on the Blue Ridge Pwy driving from NY to Highland NC when we had a blow out on our Subaru. We called Jan Davis Tires in Asheville when they opened and spoke with Rich. He was knowledgeable about his stock and knew what would work for us. Within minutes of our arrival at 8:30am, he had our “SubaRuby” up on a lift and his team of four attacked her like a NASCAR pit crew. We bought a set of new tires and we were on our way before 9:15am.Thank you so much. We are so appreciative of your expertise and customer service. About two months ago, I went to Jan Davis for all new tires on my 2012 Scion IQ. Since the IQ was too small to be put on the regular lifts, it had to be jacked up by hand, instead. Unfortunately, a slightly misplaced jack bent the fender on the drivers side, causing the door and fender to scrape together, something I didnt notice until a day later. When I noticed the issue, I took it back to Jan Davis, and they immediately took responsibility for it and apologized that they hadnt noticed the issue before I did. They never tried to blame me or anyone else; they never tried to shirk their responsibility to fix their mistake. They just went to work on trying to repair the damage themselves, then when they couldnt fix it, they paid for all of the professional bodywork repairs - even though the repairs ended up costing more than the new tires did! Its easy for businesses to shine when they dont make mistakes, but it can be a different story when they do drop the ball. Not so with Jan Davis - this is a high integrity business! They shine when things go well, and when things go wrong. If I ever needed tires again while here in the Asheville area, I would go back to Jan Davis Tire. :)

They told me upfront what was going to be checked and a ballpark amount based on what it would entail. In the lobby one can see precisely what the team is doing given the location of a giant window separating the garage from the waiting room.Turns out, it was only dirt lodged in my tire from a small amount of off-roading due to the rains washing away some of the road.The team was fast, friendly, efficient, and afordable.

This place is probably the fastest I could ever get tires that had to be ordered, left my car with them overnight and it was ready to be picked up at around 8 in the morning. Almost everywhere else takes about 2 days or longer, and rarely has the size/brand tire I was looking for but this place got the job done in under 24 hours and was able to get me exactly what I needed. I would defiantly recommend getting tires here.

Very helpful, fast, and no sales pressure. I thought I had a flat tire, but the issue was more complex, and they told me exactly what the problem was when they figured it out after a couple minutes. They couldnt help me, and I had to go to the dealership to solve the problem, but they did everything they could and didnt even charge me anything.

I happened to come across this place on Google. My tire was flat when I left work one night and I didn’t have a spare tire. I found Jan Davis Tire Store on Google and decided to take my car there. I called to get some information, and spoke to Rich. He was very friendly and informative. They have great prices on tires and rims. Rich and Robert explained every detail to me concerning my car. I will definitely return here for any car repairs or maintenance I might need on my car in the future.

My brand new teenage driver hit a curb and destroyed her tire. Luckily it was right on the corner of Jan Davis, I had never been there, thinking it was downtown and probably overpriced. Boy, was I wrong!! They were sympathetic, priced affordably, courteous and quick, they were able to locate a used tire in the correct size saving me more money.. Jan Davis and his wife were on premises making me feel better about frequenting a locally owned shop and not a chain. Came in with a flat tire and they immediately took my keys and started on my car. I thought I would have to buy another tire because I had a good piece of metal stuck in there but they said they could repair it. I recommend 100%, genuine people.

I went in for what I thought was a flat tire and it was only a valve leaking. I showed up about 15 minutes before they closed and they got me fixed up in just a few minutes and didnt try to charge anything outrageous. Seem like really good guys!

Amazing service. Had a tire and wheel stolen off my car and Jan Davis replaced two of my tires and installed a new sensor in under two hours on a very busy Friday. Then, right before I left they noticed a nail in one of the tires they didn’t change and they patched it right then at no charge. So thankful I chose this tire shop!

Great place tire place but I brung my own tire to the place the same size as my other tires and they told me cause of the different type of tire it was they couldn’t do it and they would have put the new tire in the back and move the old one in the front.. which didn’t make sense and so I ask how much it is to get they tires in they shop and they gave me the price and it was a little PRICEY for just one tire lol.. but it’s a great place to go just make sure you BRING SOME BIG CASH with you cause they are high but good at working on your car

Very honest, helpful and kind staff! I had a nail hole in my tire (tire was only 6 months old) that my local Johnson City Toyota dealership declared not patchable and would require a new tire. Jan Davis Tire Store was the only one in the area that could get my particular tire by the next day as I would be traveling to GA. When I arrived - fully prepared to buy a new tire - the staff inspected my damaged tire and gave me the great news that it could be easily patched! I was out of there in a few minutes with a good-as-new tire for around $20. They were so honest and helpful when they could have completely taken advantage of my ignorance of the situation. For that, Jan Davis Tire Store has my gratitude and business all the way from Johnson City, TN.

Was having issues with alignment on 2008 Lexus RX 350 that I had just purchased. Original alignment center could not get it right. So took it to Jan Davis and they discovered a mechanical issue that would not allow a correct alignment. Had that fixed, went back to Jan Davis same day, they took me right in and had it set perfectly in about 45 min. Difference in steering was “night and day!” If you really want your alignment on your vehicle completed with quality, expertise and professionalism, Jan Davis is the only place to go!

I got a flat tire right before work- I work at the hospital and my schedule isnt flexible, but they made sure to work with me and were more than available for me to come on my lunch break. They were extremely nice- even aired up my donut spare, gave me a regular tire to use while my new one was being ordered, and were able to put a brand new tire on my car that same day at 5pm when I got off. I cant say enough about how professional these guys are, they made a bad situation tolerable.

As you can see from replies the management cares about reviews and reputation. Theyre the best tire shop in town. I have 5 vehicles and have never had a problem here, everytime Ive tried a different shop I had issues with them. And theres no need for appointments usually.

I was traveling from Asheville back to Nashville my car started showing low air pressure that’s when I googled and reached this place. They realized we were traveling and understood we are in hurry . One of the guy was so professional he kind of took enough care kept explaining what might be the issue then fixed it quickly and did his best to get me out of there as early as possible.

I had a flat tire on the interstate this morning with the kids in the car. Called a few places and they were the only ones to call back. I couldnt afford a new tire but they put in a used tire in less than 20 minutes of me arriving. It is almost a brand new Yokohama tire.
