Ive been using them for years with no complaints. Last week, I pointed out that the price they were charging me for a gallon of paint was about 9 dollars more expensive than competitors in town, and asked that they match competitor prices, as I had done several times before. They encouraged me to go elsewhere if I was not happy with the premium price charged. That is what I will do. So long, Potomac Paint.

This store charges a 30% “restocking fee” for unopened, returned wallpaper that the wallpaper company Thibaut accepts. I ordered the number of rolls suggested by the “designer” in the store; it was way, way too much. So, the store kept $126 for restocking the one roll of wallpaper. I do not find them consumer conscious nor consumer friendly.

These guys are the best. They carry high quality products and the service to go along with it. Their pricing is competitive for what they sell, but it is worth every penny because of the quality of the staff.

This is a very professional paint store with very helpful friendly staff. And of course they have some of my favorite paint products made by Benjamin Moore. Im a painting professional and have used Benjamin Moore for more than 30 years. Potomac is a very good proprietor!! And they have good selection of specialized items and also have some specialized services. In particular if you need a good quality acrylic latex caulk to match the siding on your house they can actually make it in the store to match any color siding. Very cool

Very professional operation, decent customer service, excellent products. I know very little about paint pricing, so I shouldnt complain, but $118 for two gallons of medium grade inside paint seems like a bit much. Still, the place is right up the street, its busy so other customers must be okay with the prices, and I was happy with both the convenience and the service. Will go there again when I need paint or painting equipment.

We did a recent remodel and Potomac Paint supplied the paint and wallpaper. We are very pleased. They were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Very dissapointed with this place... If you are not an experienced painter they will take advantage of you. They gave me the wrong order, which I took, and I should have probably checked better, but when I went back a day later they didnt want to take responsibility for it. I do not recommend this place.

Twice now, I have brought them cans of paint that Potomac Paint had mixed and which covered my walls. The labels were clear with the name, number and mix codes but both times they were unable to match their own paint. They mumble something about the code being discontinued. How does that work? You sell (VERY expensive) paint and then when the customer needs more a few years later you cant help them?They try to be very nice at Potomac and cater to the neophyte home decorator with lots of shades and paint chips the size of billboards, but for my money, its Sherwin Williams/Duron from now on. Duron can always match paint that they sold - no matter how long ago. Their paint is better quality too.
