A cute little market with a few grocery items, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks), and a deli that serves coffee; snacks; sandwiches; and pizza. They even had Vietnamese iced-coffee! They have a few seats indoors and a few picnic tables right outside.

Love this place! Cashiers and food makers are always nice, coffee station, tables are clean, food is tasty and fresh . They make great compass espresso drinks .

Tasty sandwiches - the rosemary bread is a really nice touch, not too overpowering but definitely a noticeable addition. Clean setup, and friendly customer service. Looking forward to trying more of the menu, and exploring the shop.

Everyone who works here is a gem. Always very attentive to any questions you might have. The food is fairly priced and good! They have a little bit of everything in this little market.

Favorite coffee in the area and I’ve tried a lot! Really friendly staff, yummy food, and an easy quick stop for snacks. The only negative is being overpriced so I can’t go as often as I’d like.

The food and coffee is really good. I really liked their vietnamese Iced Coffee and sandwiches. They also opened a nice outdoor seating area, so you can stay to eat there. The one complaint I have is their grocery items are pretty expensive. I can get a lot of the stuff that they have for cheaper at CVS next door, which already is more expensive than a grocery store.

Great little fine in Ballston. Outdoor and indoor seating, extensive wine, craft beer & coffee available. Excellent fresh banana bread, sandwiches, breakfast & more. Excellent stop to grab a coffee or beer and people watch. Next to CVS in Ballston. I have stopped by many times for a quick breakfast or beer on the way home. Clean & friendly service.

Best nitro coffee ever! Have to admit a lot better than Starbucks

Excellent sandwich counter + coffee shop + convenience store with locally sourced products alongside national brands. Check it out for the chicken-bacon-ranch sandwich, compass coffee, and local snacks and beverages

We began to wait in line at the compass coffee, yet there was no line at the coffee stand at union kitchen. When we went in, they were selling compass coffee products! I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, which was delicious. They also have a great beer wine selection at decent prices ($5.99 for Boyal wines from Spain)!

The staff is so friendly! Such a fun selection of local food/drinks and the sandwiches are fantastic!

I really like the idea of this place but it is painfully overpriced 😣 love paying for quality food but so far I could’ve gotten a breakfast sandwich twice the size for half the price at a local bagel shop. Pint of Ben & Jerry’s was ~$8. Maybe I’ll come back when they have time to build business & lower prices?

Sandwich was just ok. However there was SO MUCH oil and vinegar. It leaked all over me and ruined my pants. Workers need to be more careful

I have been obsessed with their Vietnamese iced coffee!

Was looking forward to having a new shop in the neighborhood but, almost $10 for the worlds most blonde, flaccid, saddest pizza? $9 for a pint of blueberries? Pass. Harris Tweter is a block over and there are At least 4 better pizza options just steps away from here.

Delicious! Not a lot of good gluten-free options in this area, but the grilled cheese here was so good. Cute spot and staff are very friendly.

Absolutely love union kitchen so much!

For $6 you can get a microwaved egg sandwich.
