Had a blast on a date with my gf. The space was very cozy and intimate. The wine was excellent, and Mai was the best!

Mai is precious and cares so much about helping people enjoy the best out of life. She cooks dinner for visitors and offers painting classes and loves to bring different cultures to her store. So much more than a convenience store. I’m not sure what the negative review was about or what that person was expecting. This is a cute place with lots of character!

Mae is the most generous store owner. Her home cooked delicious meals are truly something special. She is a blessing!

The American Dream Cafe is a hidden gem on the ground level of the point pentagon city. It was what sold me on leasing a flat there, (yes, I’m from Europe and we call apartments flats).The convenience of running downstairs to grab whatever snack or cigarette you did in the middle of the night as a god-send!The lady who runs, Mai, believes in customer satisfaction and loves her little shop as well as each and every one of her customers.She’s like a mom who’s ready to perk you up if you’re having a bad day.In the shop, you can find anything everything and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, she will make sure to bring it for you.Mai also has a selection of champagne, wine, beer, and every millennials favorite, white claw! There’s cigarettes, chips, candy, frozen food, and a few ethnic items too.In addition to all of items listed above, on nights you don’t feel like cooking she makes delicious entrées at a reasonable price.If you’re having a bad day and want to unwind you can go downstairs and paint—she has all the supplies—with a glass of wine or cup of coffee or tea.Mai and her shop have so much character, if you haven’t been there stop by and see for yourself. Make sure to ring the doorbell if it’s locked of call the number. The door can be locked if she’s out back in the cooler getting those bubblies nice and crisp!

This store is a hidden gem. I got home made pizza that was frozen and vacuum sealed and it was so good! it had chicken in it that was very flavorful and filling. The owner is also really friendly.

Very unprofessional setup. I am not sure how this place remains in business. The Pointe must be giving a nice break on the rent. This stores whole layout is cluttered and feels more like someones she-shed versus a place of business. The entire store needs a facelift, declutter, and reorganization. A lady runs the store alone with no set hours and leaves the store unattended frequently. My attempts to call or texting the number left on the door has been unsuccessful, as it is more convenient to walk across the street to Whole Foods.

American Dream Cafe where your eating tasty and home-cooked food becomes real. May is just as friendly as your mother to care of hygiene and tasty food. Every order is made fresh and individually. What you would pay for your food would be price of a food truck but quality of a five star restaurant. You would be missing out if you are in the area but not yet have had your american eat good dream come true :)

Wow what a hidden Gem! The food was out of this world! the drawing session was magical! I couldnt believe such heavenly pocket existed on this earth! I loved it! It is a must visit! I tell you you have not lived until you met the owner and visited her shop!!! Thank You Mai! the drawing session was healing and as I expressed my self on canvas with your presence and direction as if you took me to a different dimension! Thank You

I went here for the first time tonight and met the owner for a 1 on 1 painting lesson. Its a unique concept - to bring culture and community into a cafe. But we sat and talked about life for a few hours. She is wonderful. And I got a painting lesson along with some excellent homemade food. You find many places like this. Highly recommend giving her a call!

Five Stars! I ordered from this cafe on UberEats and the food was hot and fresh when it arrived. They also gave me a few extra treats! The meat lasagna was hearty and well-seasoned, the meat pie flavorful, and the Georgian cheese bread or Khachipuri was such a treat - really delightful flavors and every bite was a dream! I saved half of it for breakfast the next day. I could tell the food was prepared with great love and care. I looked on the cafe website and see that the owner is an artist and floral designer too. Now I’m looking forward to visiting the cafe in person and enjoying a new experience.
