Our cake was the star of the show! Not only did it look amazing, it tasted even better. I have shown up to countless weddings where the cake or frosting end up being dry. Ours was perfect! The staff at Sugar Bee Sweets were amazing and effortless to work with. And their coffee products are legit!

Ordered a 6in chocolate stout cake and it is AMAZING. The flavor, texture, density and the look are all A+!Im having to control myself from finishing it all up in one sitting honestly cuz its so good.Highly recommend this bakery!!!

I love Sugar Bee Sweets!I was introduced to them six years ago at a wedding, I am a local wedding planner so they are my go to bakery for event cakes as well as personal cakes.I recently ordered one of their mini cakes and it was super cute and did not disappoint. My go to flavor is there almond raspberry it’s always full of flavor and the cake is very moist. I need to get adventurous someday and try the other flavors they offer but I stick with what I like and what I know.

PERFECT. I can explain them as perfectionists in design. Was my first time ordering from here all the way from CA for my girlfriends bridal shower. The naked cake came out just perfectly and exactly how we wanted for this Pinterest-inspired bohemian chic rustic themed bridal shower. They meticulously and beautifully did the cake exactly the way we envisioned and put on the fresh flowers I brought in. Everyone at the party was wowed by the cake design. They were easy to work with, friendly, straight forward and have an awesome space. 5+ stars!

This bakery literally saved my wedding day. My wedding was a little complicated to say the least and after my original baker backed out and could not make the cake that my bonus son wanted, I called 10 different bakeries. They worked with me and even knew their Star Wars trivia to make the cake that my Star Wars geek bonus kid and husband wanted. I wish I could comment personally on the taste, but I was not able to taste the cake. However, my guest all loved it and said it was delicious. My bonus son could not stop eating it!

My new favorite place for Saturday morning pastries. Their Sugar Bee Buns and savory scones are great, but their cinnamon rolls are exceptional. Be sure to get them warmed up! Plus, they serve coffee from the nearby Urban Alchemy, and theyre within 500ft of Salter Bros coffee. Perfect!

I absolutely LOVE this bakery! They were incredibly helpful during the tasting process, and they took all my pictures and wishes into consideration. I wanted to make sure the cake was naked, but not too naked and not too iced. And they did it the PERFECT amount. I also didnt want the cake too cluttered, and they even decorated it just the right amount. It was beautiful!! And the taste was incredible!! One of my guests even had 5 helpings 😳. Something they also did was my mother in law went up there without my knowing to get cupcakes made for my wedding shower, and they recommended she get them using the flavors of my cake. It was a wonderful surprise!! Since then, I have sent all my friends there for all their events. I cant recommend Sugar Bee Sweets enough!

Ordered a mothers day cake from here and it was beautiful and the service was great (really easy to order and pickup, friendly staff), but the cake itself was not tasty. It was really too sweet for all of us, to the point where it was almost inedible. The filling, which was supposed to be blackberry cream cheese, didnt actually taste like either of those things, it just tasted like more sugar. We tried to finish it but unfortunately it really was just way too sweet.

I emailed them to see if they can deliver a cake in a week. They responded very fast and answered all of my questions. Very good communication.Everyone loved the cake. Tasted amazing and looked very elegant.

Sugar bee sweets has always been my bakery of choice, so there was no doubt I would choose them to make my cake for my wedding day. How they get their cakes to look both beautiful and taste delicious, I will never know!! Their customer service goes above and beyond whether it’s for a special day, or any every day sweet. Being a COVID reschedule, you can imagine there are many things to provide, so it was refreshing to have a vendor give me peace of mind during that crazy time. Heidi and her team are the best and I cannot thank them enough!!

Sugar Bee Sweets made the most incredible wedding cake for my husband and I for our June wedding. The cake was exactly as I pictured it! Super seamless to order and work with everyone at the bakery as every person working there is so knowledgable about the work that they do. I still have people raving about our cake!

This place is amazing! Went to pick up the wedding cake for my sons wedding and the staff was so kind and professional. While we were there we decided to get a latte and try some of their sweets that were in the display... Cinnamon rolls, raspberry peach muffins, and scones. Very tasty. Highly recommend.

Buyer Beware….I ordered a cake for a Sweet 16 party and pretty much got a smash cake for a toddler!!Let’s get into it! First off, I emailed this location for a quote and it was for a 2 tier cake. But was suggested by the online staff a single tier cake, due to the size of my party. ***Never order online for your special event*** go to the shop! Their suggestion was WRONG!! I wish they would have given me initially what I asked for. I had a party full of teenagers not babies, when they made the cake or suggested the size they did not think about serving teens(which they should know). I advised the 2 young ladies I was very disappointed with the size of the cake and even tried to give the shop a chance to make it right, and even after speaking to the manager (Heidi) who really didn’t care how I felt…still was not accommodating to my concerns. She made it seem as if it was my fault the cake was so small but that’s not what I initially asked for as well! Don’t suggest anything if you can’t use common sense!! I was told the cake would feed 16, WRONG again! It only fed 8 people, but if I want cake to feed an Army…that’s my right! Because I spent my money!! This little cake was $185 and it was not even a good size cake, they are overpriced so beware of that as well. My Sweet 16 birthday girl liked how the cake was decorated but very disappointed in the size. So, due to the Anxiety, Embarrassment and Disappointment of this cake, I give 2 stars for taste and decoration. Before you go to this little shop on a backroad in Arlington do your research! I definitely won’t be going back!

We have used Sugar Bee Sweets many times and they have been amazing every time. We always seem to get cake balls along with the cakes we order. They always have a great selection of cake balls & cupcakes on display. They made a Penguin cake & smash cake for our daughters firat birthday & Sorting Hat gender reveal cupcake for our second child that were just so cute. Everyone weve talked to has always been friendly & helpful.

Tried ordering a cake from them for my daughters 15 and the process was horrible. No actual contact only emails and who ever I was talking kept saying I needed 3 different tier cakes for different flavors. Apparently if you want different flavors in a 3 tier cake they cant do it. Its sad because their cupcakes are very tasty but their customers service is really bad.

My baby shower cake turned out beautiful. I absolutely loved the way it turned out. I sent them an inspiration and they delivered. When I put down my deposit, the customer service was really welcoming and straight forward. However, when I picked it up, the young people although kind, they had no sense of urgency. I walked in, told them my name on my order and they got right back to talking amongst themselves. I had to ask to be cashed out while I wait to get my cake, and I actually had to tell one of the young men that I was in a rush and if he could please get me my order and one of the other young men gave me a look of disgust as if how dare I ask that. Aside from that, I recommend this bakery. In closing, I just have to critique the red velvet. Although it was edible and tasty, it was extremely dry. It just had a weird dry texture to it. The lemon blueberry was superb! My absolute favorite! Overall, I was satisfied with my cake. I got lots of compliments on it.

Got the Sugar Bee Bun & it is good. Pistachio muffin was so-so. Very misleading to the price though. $$ may be average price or below on a regular eatery. But this is a very expensive place for single-serve pastry. You may want to pull up something online about the prices before you go. Sugar Bee Bun at the time of my visit was $3.50 for a smallish bun. As much as I did enjoy it, worth $3.50 it was not!!

Im a frequent flyer at Sugar Bee Bakery, especially during their cupcake happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ive yet to have a flavor that I did not like. Everything is so fresh and tasty. I definitely recommend them!

When looking at cake options we made an appointment on Sugar Bee Sweets website to do a tasting. Four of us were able to go to the tasting, and tried 8 different cake flavors. Of the eight flavors, all were amazing, and we were unable to decide between five, so the bakery let us do each tier a different flavor. We had a three tier bridal cake and a 2 tier grooms cake. At the tasting, we were given books of the bakerys previous work and were assisted in building the two cake designs from scratch. They were so helpful, going in I had very little idea of what I wanted the cake to look like, and by the end of the hour we had everything completely figured out. The cakes were delivered on time and the delivery person decorated the cake with loose flowers we had available. Everything looked amazing and we got so many compliments on all the different cake flavors (although red velvet and chocolate stout seemed to be crowd favorites!). I would absolutely recommend this bakery to all!

Got my Almond flavoured wedding cake from Sugar Bee Sweets! It was fresh, delicious and gorgeous! Prior to our wedding day, we completed a cake tasting with Sugar Bee and they made the entire process easy...They were super helpful. Tried this place for the first time and highly disappointed. If you are looking for “cake by slice” do NOT go here.I got their vanilla rainbow pastry. There was no freshness in it. The cream on it was horrible.You guys shouldn’t sell if the cake isn’t fresh.. why do you want to ruin someone’s experience and stomach?? Horrible horrible horrible

So the actual cake flavor was amazing -almond with a raspberry filling.Beautifully decorated as well. Unfortunately the next day,the cake is was SUPER hard ! I had to cut a random piece in the middle to find soft slices.I would order from them again if I were prepared to serve an entire cake the same day otherwise, no thank you.The flavor could not make up for how quick the cake got stale.

Ordered a sample cake and it was very delicious, so we went with the almond cake for our wedding. What a waste of money the cake was dry it was nothing like the sample and it didn’t have a almond flavor to it. My daughter even expressed that the cake was nothing like the sample cake which were fresh. Don’t waste your time I should have went with a sheet cake from Walmart. Very unhappy

I was Really hoping I found A go to baker for the next 18 + years.But sadly did not.I has A two tier cake made for my granddaughter 1st birthday party. The decorating was basic and looked freezer burned. The top tier was dry like week old cake and no taste of red velvet. Bottom tier was under cooked and soggy.I should Of known not to leave the store when she didn’t present it forward facing with pride.Over price for what I received.Don’t fall for the fancy shop.After they called from reading the review but offered nothing but a tour of the shop. Thought I would add some pictures. First one is the example that was give to them. I ordered it without the flowers the second is what I received. If you notice the pinks don’t match from cake to the#1 . And the icing is very basic no detail. But my biggest problem in the end was the taste. Nothing like the samples I bought to try before I ordered. The last one is after I fixed it. Just wish I could have fixed the inside.

If I could leave negative stars I would. Spoke to someone whos name starts with an A, at first she was nice but then when I started to ask more complex questions that she really didnt give answers for, the ruder she got. I ordered a custom 2tier bday cake with only flowers. The price was outrageous for what I was getting. I also noticed that on their website, a larger cake was offered for the same price with 20 more slices, so I was trying to get an understanding from her as to why and all she did was tell me I agreed to the price they sent me via email, and their website was worded incorrectly and needed to be changed. Seems like theres some false advertising going on. I asked for an understanding in the difference in pricing on these particular cake prices vs, the one I got so Id know for future reference when I order again, she said I really have to go I think Im going in circles and repeating myself. Well probably because she never really gave me a straight answer in the first place, but made a point to repeat that I agreed to the price I already got. Also, fondant is now the same price as buttercream as it used to be more. They dont mention that when you order so before you think youre going cheaper with buttercream like before, think again. When this person mentioned that shes not a cake person and would never spend $300 for a cake, I mentioned well I ordered from a person on FoodNetwork before, and it wasnt this expensive. She then told me to feel free to go order from her. What!! This was just having back and forth conversation as she shared she wouldnt spend this amount of money, and I shared my experience and thats what I got from her. Ive ordered from this place for years, my job, family and friends that Ive referred. NEVER again will I go back.

Sugar Bee Sweets was a great vendor for our cake. Cake is way more important to my (now) husband than it was to me, so SBS’s options for a “signature” cake, and their skills for a special grooms cake made the process so easy and simple for us. We had to make some changes to our cake order in the last 3 weeks due to number changes as a result of the pandemic which resulted in our “signature” order becoming a custom order that was more expensive since the signature cakes are not flexible on changes – so if you do decide to go with SBS that is the one thing I would be aware of. However, it was so worth it to make those changes and know that our guests were safe. And – in the end it was all worth it. Our custom grooms cake (designed after the custom Nike’s we had ordered to wear during the reception) was INCREDIBLE, and looked just like our shoes. The cake was DELICIOUS and we received numerous texts the next day for both the peach amaretto and the strawberry cake. My husband and I ate leftover cake multiple days in a row it was still so yummy.

The Sugar Bee Sweets team made deciding, planning and delivering on our wedding cakes a breeze. Cakes turned out perfectly and we received several compliments on them from guests. Great experience, superb service and delicious and beautiful products.

Cannot recommend. Had a slice of their pie of the day & a scone. Portions size was very small. It appears to save money, they are double cutting everything - same price half the size. The taste was excellent, but at $4/slice, cannot recommend. Cv-19 precautions are mixed. Everyone was masked, but social distancing was not being observed by customers (and no markers on the floor, to assist) and ventilation was not adequate. All they need to do is open the door for a little breeze.

I called at 1130a to get a price on a 3- tier cake. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a name, but she was very short with me after I asked her how much a 3- tier bday cake, she barely interrupted me and referred me to the website and quickly hung up. I wanted to tell her that I had other questions, but apparently she doesn’t care if she had my business or not. If she treated me that way through the phone, I can just imagine how awful I’d be treated in person. I wanted to give her zero stars, but you have to put in at least one star to leave a review. So, zero STARS for no customer service. Back to my search for a birthday cake.

Sugar Bees Sweets is the very best bakery in the world! We are so lucky to have them in Arlington. They made our wedding cake and grooms cakes when we got married in 2014 and they were both delicious and perfect. We continue to go for cupcakes, scones and coffee. Everyone that works there is wonderful and so welcoming. Now that we are working from home we will definitely be up there more often since they are open for to-go orders!

Delicious and beautiful! I ordered a surprise specialty birthday cake based on a Pinterest cake from the movie Up. The person I emailed with was accommodating and understood exactly the modifications I wanted from the Pinterest cake (one tier instead of two, decoration changes, and flavor changes). The cakes appearance was all that I imagined. Further, the inside was as beautiful as the outside and one of the best cakes I have ever tasted! As a bonus everyone in the shop helped keep the cake a surprise, and called me the day of my order to make sure I picked up the cake. And of course the birthday boy loved it! Thank you Sugar Bee Sweets!

We bought a signature cake for a birthday party (Texas Butter Cake) and it was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ordering process was super simple. This place is very disappointing. Ive only gone here for the items they have in the case. Everything is bland and the flavors are usually misleading. I had vanilla lavender scone. It mostly just tasted sweet with a slight hint of vanilla. There was zero lavender. Thats rather odd since lavender is the most overpowering flavor on the planet and its very easy to add too much. I dont think there was any in it at all and they just put that on the label. Ive tried several cupcakes and cakeballs. The Reeses cakeball and salted caramel cupcake were just chocolate with some Reeses pieces and a little caramel drizzle respectively. I have no idea how they are for custom orders but everything Ive had has almost no flavor except sugar, cocoa powder and tiny hints of vanilla. They are also very expensive. Save your money and go somewhere else if taste is what matters. On that note, all of their stuff is very pretty and based off what Ive seen they make gorgeous custom cakes. If youre a person who legitimately only cares how it looks this might be a good fit for you. Also maybe they just put more effort into making their high dollar items taste better. I couldnt tell you but Id be willing to go to a tasting to see if I wanted a custom cake.

If I could give zero stars I would. I assisted in planning my best friends wedding and the faux cake that this bakery produced was completely unacceptable. The one tier cake that they provided did NOT look like the picture the bride provided. When they were contacted for assistance to alleviate this issue, their attitude was piss poor. This is someones wedding. You should want to go above and beyond to help make that day special. They were content with saying oh well. Now that pictures of their terrible work is on the internet, they want to try and work things out with the bride. If I were you, I would not trust this bakery at all.

Many guest at my daughter Myah’s wedding expressed their shock in the small cake presented on her dessert table for pictures. Because the cake was so embarrassing, we explained to our guest what happened. Sugar Bee automatically knew they were complaining about Myah’s experience because Sugar Bee decided to use my daughter’s name when the reviewer didn’t. However, in their rebuttal, they have twisted and misrepresented the truth and straight lied. We DID NOT ask for a 1 tier cake. They tricked us with wording (9” flat) and changed what we requested to 1 tier by saying it would be just like the picture we sent them. The picture was 2 tiers. When I called a day before the wedding to complain, and very clearly express my disgust and dissatisfaction, Sugar Bee was not willing to do anything different. I told them it would ruin my daughter’s table and pictures. But they didn’t care.Look at their reply to all of our complaints. They are blaming us for the 1tier faux (fake) wedding cake they provided us after we paid them $146. They’ve even accused our guest, who saw the little embarrassing, nondescript faux cake, of not knowing what happened. They know what they saw and it was not worthy of anyone’s wedding. According to Sugar Bee, the customer is NOT right. Beware!

We will share those fabulous vendors on another post.Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery was mean and spiteful for my cousins wedding.The first cake is what we received from Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery in Arlington Tx. They told us it would look just like the picture we sent them. When I complained, they said we approved it and were unwilling to even apologize, not to mention try to somehow correct the error.The real deal is they were unwilling to accommodate any covid safe guidelines, so we dropped the $$ amount of our order down to the non refundable deposit, and requested a faux (fake) cake that valued the $150.00 we had already paid. They didn’t like that we did that, so they gave us this little fake cake. I am not a huge wedding cake person. If Im being honest... I HATE wedding cake. If a friend of mine had not suggested Sugar Bee Sweets, I probably would have not even had a cake at our wedding. But I am beyond happy with how ours turned out. It was such a hit, that my now husband and I didnt even get but one tiny slice because it was all gone! :) It was hilarious to watch people take a small piece back to their table, take one bite and see their face light up moments before their feet took off again for seconds (a bigger slice this time around). It made my heart so happy. The team was so patient with me throughout all of my questions and my doubts on wedding cakes. I will forever recommend this company to everyone I meet! OH, I will also be using them for any and all events in the future. SOOOOOOOO good! Thank yall for setting it up too, because... WOW!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

I do not like cake, I was planning on coming in and buying some mini pies or something else for a party I was throwing. I tried a couple pieces of cake and OH MY GOSH, I have not had a better dessert in my life! I dont know what they do, but I love their cake. The frosting is delicious and not too sugary or too much. You cannot go wrong with anything from this bakery!!!

I am VERY disheartened by Sugar Bee Sweets Bakerys comments on their Facebook page! MANY small business owners are taking a massive hit to their incomes who also have families, children, rent, employees, etc., as a matter of fact the entire country is taking a hit in case you havent noticed! The uncertainty is real and you are one of the lucky ones who is still able to continue your business and stay open to serve the public while others are forced to close! As President Trump clearly said yesterday (March 18), this is no ones fault yet you have decided to punish these innocent couples by NOT refunding ANY PORTION of their money. I find that to be very hurtful and improper in this type of situation. The RIGHT thing to do is to at the very least refund 50%. I can completely understand not refunding for weddings that are this weekend, March 20 or 21, but for weddings that are in the next week and beyond, it is completely irresponsible of you and quite honestly greedy to not refund something. We are all facing difficulties during this crisis and to add to the misery of an already distressed financial situation is not proper! I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around! You could very well be facing the same situation of being forced to close your doors, then what will you do?I would not recommend this bakery based on their business practices. With the country in turmoil and couples FORCED into canceling weddings by no accord of their own, not to refund their money is completely improper during these times, especially when the cancellation is in plenty of time with communications via email that NO preparations have been made at all for a wedding 10+ days away! What a crook!

I dont see how anyone could give less than 5 stars, I absolutely loved Sugar Bee Sweets! My husband and I were looking for a bakery last minute for our wedding last year and they made the best cake I have ever had! (I am a huge cake lover btw) They were so sweet and helpful when we were picking out flavors and trying to decide what exactly we wanted. Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery is a very comfortable and cozy place with delicious food and desserts. It has the courteous staff and they are very attentive to all of their clients, also Sweets & Drinks has reasonable prices. I love this place and have already advised it to all my friends. I have never done a review on a business but I had to take time to tell the ladies at Sugar Bee Sweets thanks!!!! I sent countless emails from out of town and every single one was answered timely and courteously. Not only was my daughters cake beautiful it was so moist and flavorful-the best red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting I have tasted. I have had many cakes from coast to coast and i always feel like I have to compromise between decoration and taste—not so at this bakery!!!! This place is a gem! Thank you!

Hi 👋 I got a box of cupcakes from sweet bees 🐝 today & when I walked in w/my daughter I thought they would have more then 4 flavor cupcakes. I bought 4 cupcakes & some milks. My total was $17.00, the sizes for the cupcakes are small. I came in because I thought this place will be a good downtown cupcakes stop, I definitely have a sweet tooth half of the time. This place is not what I thought it would be. :(

An acquaintance of mine is getting married today and the cake that she picked out looks nothing like the cake she got. It’s supposed to be two tiers and it’s one tier. Ridiculous. You should get the cake you paid for.

Truly heavenly experience. Cupcakes are delectable. Each staff member Ive interacted with was knowledgeable friendly and really seemed to enjoy their job. Every customer that walks out of that store seems to leave with a smile. When I left for the first time I understood why. I cant image ever going anywhere else for cake ever again. I was surprised by how reasonably priced these amazing cakes are.

I must say that the hot pastrami was very good!

Don’t recommend them at all. Couldn’t change the colors on a cake I ordered. Especially on how expensive it was very disappointed. Won’t ever go there again...Response: I only wanted the dots and Tassel changed. Not the 3D!! Still don’t recommend you guys. Disappointed and super expensive!!!

Heidi and the team at Sugar Bee Sweets are phenomenal! They have so many creative and on-trend design inspirations to match any aesthetic. They are extremely flexible and accommodating - they truly know how to treat their customers! I am so happy to have worked with them and cant wait to do it again very soon!

I couldnt even comment on the taste or design of the cakes because they were so rude on the phone Id NEVER order anything from them!Called to ask about a cake for this weekend and the response was you couldnt see we were booked up on our website?.

My experience with the bakery was mostly professional. I cant complain about the service. However, my experience with my cake is another story. I had purchased a cake total price was $150. It was a small wedding so a two-tier cake was what was needed. I had asked for lavender rosettes to be the design for the bottom layer cake. This was what was seen as I purchased the cake. I picked up the cake Thursday and was refrigerated overnight for a 9:30 am Friday morning wedding. After one hour of being out of the refrigerator the rosettes turned bluish green in color. The cake looked like it was moldy. I was mortified. Their are no pictures of the cake as it looked awful. This is not what I had pictured on my wedding day. I contacted the bakery with photos of the cake and no refund was given. They offered to make me another cake but that is the last thing I wanted at this point. They should have fully refunded my money due to my disappointment. I just want other brides to know that this can happen to you to on your special day. Be sure you ask about their policy as they told me they were not responsible for the cake once it leaves the bakery. And even told me it could be from leaving a light on in a refrigerator. Be thorough in your consultation and ask these questions. I have photos available for anyone who wants to see what happened. Not an ideal wedding day :(

I have truly never had better cupcakes and treats. I pride myself on being a “cupcake connoisseur” and have searched high and low for the best cupcake and Sugar Bee wins. Hands down. I go 2x/weekly, I’m obsessed. I recently ordered my first cake and was blown away by the customer service and the quality of the cake. They really did an amazing job. I will 100% be getting my wedding cake from here. Okay, I’m done fangirling. But try it, you won’t be disappointed. Oh and get the red velvet cupcake. 😛

Do not do business with this company. Long story short: During a literal pandemic, they’ve refused to refund the money my brother paid for his wedding cake, even though they’ve yet to make it. Then, they’ve been removing negative reviews. This company’s customer service is ATROCIOUS.

Sugar Bee did our wedding and grooms cake. Not only are their cakes delicious and beautiful but the staff is amazing too. Truly nice and genuine. We only went cake tasting there because the minute we walked in we knew it was right. And our cakes!!!! I gave them a photo of the wedding cake I found on Pinterest and the one they created looked exactly like it. We received so many compliments. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend.

We used Sugar Bee Sweets for our wedding cupcakes. They did a FANTASTIC job. The cupcakes not only looked EXACTLY like what we wanted but they tasted AMAZING also. Our guest absolutely loved them!! The set up was wonderful and looked perfect. We couldnt have been more pleased with how it all turned out.

Cake was not good in wedding cake tasting, over powered with icing. Very over priced. Much better cakes around for more affordable prices, cakes you can actually taste the cake and not just sugar/icing.

Sugar Bee was our wedding cake vendor. I cant say enough good things about them. Since our initial visit, I knew I wanted to work them.They are very creative and exceptional at their craft. They are bakers and artist all in one. The cake was delicious and it looked beautiful. Our guest raved on how tasty the cake was. No other bakery compares to Sugar Bee.
