My favorite place!! because they have organic delicious breads and desserts. They are finally open with service, not just carry out. They serve in real dinnerware. They are still not 100% because they want to be careful so no shared jam bottles.

Le Pain is fantastic. I come here all the time -- sometimes just coffee, other times full breakfast. Food is fresh, delicious and quick. And its a pleasant atmosphere. Quiet background music & lights a little dimmed. And the servers are unfailingly polite and attentive. Love this place.

Excellent presentation and selection of foods. Prices are appropriate for the neighborhood. Come for quality french cuisine and elegant atmosphere - but if you are just looking for that perfect espresso drink, keep looking.

I’m glad they finally open, but they are doing only carry-out even thou you can see the tables outside. I though they had table services as well, but no. You order inside and they bring you the bags to your table. You can unpack them and eat there, with no table service, or take it home. I think this is the safest way to re-open, but I was looking for the experience, not just the food.

Lovely spot for brunch!Be sure to ask them to warm any pastries you get. They didnt warm it at first (dine in). Coffee is good, but have had better coffee/batista experience. Nice decor and vibe.

I work right around the area love coming here. High ceilings and amazing baked goods. I always get the quiches, croissants, salads and coffee. Staff here keeps this location spotless and plenty of food stocked fresh. Great place to stop by, grab a snack and do some work. Parking is really easy with street and garage parking

FOOD IS AMAZING. I want to give this place a 5 becuase of how good the food is, but the serivce was truly terrible all around. We waited at our table for 15 minutes before someone brought us water. We then waited a similar amount of time for a server. I ended up having to go inside and order becuase the server never came to our table to take our order. I was told at the counter to return top my seat and wait for the server but did not want to because my family and I had waited over half an hour and just had water at our table.

This is a nice relaxing place to grab early breakfast. My wife and I stopped in on the way to grocery shop. I had the iced latte and it didnt disappoint. My wife got a cappuccino and she enjoyed it as well. I also got the waffle with berries and chocolate sauce. It was delicious. Server was very friendly and cheerful in the morning. Next time we are planning on trying one of their bread basket breakfast meals.

Very unprofessional staff. You need explain several time that what you want to order. The restaurant itself is very good but due to the lack of service, not recommended place. Also, be careful, they sometimes sell the old bakery products.

The bread on the egg sandwich is gross and the mocha is pretty nasty. Wish I got breakfast somewhere else.

FROM Late Nov: This is a downgrade to 1 Stars: We are glad they opened, but the model isnt working. Weve been back twice - the first time was ok with the plastic and everything, but the last time is just ridiculous. We all got the mini pancakes, but they came in boxes that you would normally see with a to-go sandwich. This is not something to eat out of like a plate. Its cardboard with 2 inch borders. Maybe they ran out of plastic containers. Other places are using plates, etc. They have gone too extreme. Its hard to see going back and hard to see them making it.Five Stars (2 years ago): We love going here. Great atmosphere, great food. The dutch mini-pancakes are great (with berries!) Well lit, lots of room. Great coffee too. Very dependable and great location.

Absolutely amazing. I remembered eating there years back and wondering if It was still just as good and I was not disappointed!

The food there is absolutely disgusting. This is supposed to be the $12 avocado toast I picked up today. Not only was the avocado brown, there was also a HAIR on it! To make matters worse, they gave me a cup that’s as leaking and spilled hot coffee all over myself and my car.

Definitely a spacious layout, with a great French feel. You can order take-out or dine in with table service. The food is considerably overpriced. I paid $15 for the smoked salmon breakfast, which was probably worth $8 at most, considering the portion size (the bread comes standard with all of the breakfast items). However, the turmeric latte is delicious, and theres free WiFi. I would skip dining in next time, or just order coffee.

I had a WONDERFUL light dinner here. The whole experience was lovely. Hannah was a delightful host, bringing water before I even asked and anticipating every need. She was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. I had the salmon salad which tasted fresh and bright.I would gladly go back again.

Nice place, this is the second experience in this res and cafe and I had great desert from it, and the staff were very good, but I put 3/5 cause they have different price between take away and having a table, and I dont know that until I got the receipt, cause I ordered from cashier and he told me the price is 14 $ but when I chose to sit he didnt let me pay without saying the reason which I knew it in the receipt 17 $

We like a lot eating out. Last night we went to this excellent restaurant which friends told us about. We passed a lovely time there with great dishes and a well-trained team and a distinguished cook. We added this fine restaurant in our phone list and we will surely go again very soon. Highly recommended.

Manager on site Patricia as usual making sure at every table that everything is right. Had my lunch indoors and my dessert n coffee in t patio beautiful weather, service very pleasant. This is one of my favorite places for brunch with the family on the weekend. The food is great, clean, and lots of healthy options. However, compared to the one at Tyson’s corner, the service at this Le Pain is horrible. It always ruins my experience.

Always a great latte. The menu is generally good but changes with the seasons so you may want check if there is anything you would be interested in before going. They have of late expanded to more gluten free and vegan options. Its is usually a tasty and clean breakfast or lunch.

One of my favorite places to go for breakfast and lunch. I love the cappuccinos and lattes even just the espresso shots. For breakfast I enjoy most of the dishes, but my most favorite would be the salmon and avocado omelette with Belgian waffle and a side bowl of fruits. All the tar-tines are great for lunch!

The Le Pains in France could learn from this location. Always bright, clean, and welcoming. I come here mostly for breakfast and it gives you a sense of home. Living in the DC area away from family is not easy but Gigi & Elane have that warmth and always make sure Im full and happy. Elane could teach a master class in providing excellent customer service. Gigi always knows what I like and sells me on dessert almost every time! Great location, delicious food, & wonderful staff!

Came and stopped by a few weeks ago and finally got around to posting. Ali was my server and was amazing. My iced vanilla coffee wasn’t sweet enough and Ali went out of her way to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it. I got the avo toast with egg and salmon 💕💕 my absolute fav. Never go wrong with this location I enjoy it every time.

The decor is very nice. Wooden block tables, ample lighting, and plenty of space. I like the classical music playing subtly in the background. I went there to try their cafe drinks and was pleased. I had a pot of tea, a cup of mint lemonade, and 2 macaroons. Everything was good! If you are going to here to have a few cups of coffee or tea, you will not be disappointed! Service was a bit weird--I think our waiter was new because he forgot what we ordered right after we told him. No worries, though!

Nice sidewalk dining. Service was slow but friendly. Machiatto was served in a humongous bowl. Fairly decent roast. Goat cheese omelet was good, as were the breads.

This is a beautiful location with warm, cozy lighting. If youre spending the day in Clarendon, its nice to stop here for a coffee and rest your feet while gazing out the window at the passing shoppers. Service here is hit or miss. Very friendly staff, but you may have to remind them a few times of your order if you want to get all the food and beverages.

Le Pain Quotidien definitely upgrades this area. One of the reasons that contributes to healthier and more cheerful life here. Enjoy your days!

Best Belgian waffle Ive ever had! It was a bit small and it was a bit pricey, but was worth it in quality.

Le Pain Quotidien is one of our go-to breakfast places. The bread is great and I love the spreads (not to mention their hot cocoa). I also really like the euro feel and communal dining tables. The food is consistently good, and the atmosphere comfortable.

Ganesh S. was a great server, it was our first time there. Great food.

Excellent food and even better service. Everytime I am in the area I stop by, its my favorite location and make sure you ask for Ali, she is a great server.

Consistent quality food. Its nice to est somewhere that doesnt rely on dumping butter on everything for taste :-). Amazing vegan chili and grain bowls! Not usually crowded in the evenings, which is a plus!

It would be great to listen french music while having breakfast. Old town and bright environment. Coffee is really nice other than soup cups:) walnut carrot cake was not fresh and I had to asked for a replacement with blackberry muffin. It wasn’t fresh as well. Avacado and Tomato Omlette was really nice. Comes with two types of bread, salad and butter. I have to mention that this place is overpriced.

This is my favorite breakfast, brunch, lunch spot in NOVA. The staff is always on point with 5 star service. My cup and glass never get empty thanks to the watchful eyes of Ali, Elane, and Lee Anne, my favorite employees. I recommend the avacodo toast with salmon. I only eat it here because no other restaurant can match the quality and taste. I also recommend the waffle, ham croissant, ham and cheese omelet, and all of their healthy fruit based drinks. I use this location to write. The decor and large windows are highly conducive to creativity. And, its hard to beat the people watching on this corner of Arlington.

I had a delicious beautifully-arranged and perfectly-portioned fruit salad. Ordered a breadbasket to share—spreads were scrumptious! Nutella, dark Nutella, praline-like flavors.

Some of the best coffee I have ever had! This place is very quaint but also quite upscale. Lots of interesting and fresh food options. The atmosphere is light and airy.

Highly recommend the salmon salad with cashew dressing. Good service and spacious, bright and inviting ambiance.

I love this restaurant, I love the big windows and and the food is fantastic. Most the waitresses are great but one is so very rude. You would ask her for a drink with no ice and she would bring it to you with ice in it and she would explains that she had to put ice in it. Well I understand that she might have had to put ice in it but you would think she would tell you ahead of time that this drink can not be served without ice.

Looks very inviting inside, given the busy time I came I was a little confused with the seat yourself and double checked that was indeed what I was to do...sat down waited 10 minutes where a hurried waiter gave me a menu and said she would be right back....wait....wait....gave it another 10 minutes..trying to catch eyes of anyone working....no luck, as I was starting to leave heard the waiter say..who has this table....saddened because I had read great things..and hungry.

Friendly staff, nice airy layout, and very high quality food. If youve ever been to France (or New Orleans) you know how important good bread of to a meal. LPQ gets that. They have a good variety of styles of bread - baguettes, croissants, whole grain loaves - that make whatever youre ordering perfect. I often go with my family for breakfast. Sometimes I just get a bread selection - with the delicious jams its a meal. The one draw back is it is pricey. But, the quality is worth it, so just keep it as a special treat.

This LPQ location always smells like burnt food or frying oil that’s been used too many times. Not sure why!! Every time I go there the smell is overpowering. Too bad, the location is great and it’s a very cute layout but I can’t take the smell!!

Had the quinoa salad which was excellent for a morning after a not-so-healthy night. It was refreshing and satisfyingly filling. They had no grapefruit juice which is nothing to be ashamed of although it would have made my morning that much better. Place is charming but feels a bit too much like Panera Bread. Obviously the quality of food is much better. Definitely recommended for a relaxed and low key brunch.

I am a loyal Le Pain patron. The food was great as expected. Unfortunately the service was a little slow while I was there and a mouse was running around the dining room.

I came here to try to enjoy some peaceful quite in a French ambience. Instead it was a war zone of noise and it sounded like we were inside the dishwasher. Dishes and utensils were continuously slammed against each other and the bus tray and then the table with no regard to the customers. Dont you have a kitchen?

Stopped by in the morning to buy gluten free bread. I got half of the loaf (which they call full loaf for some reason). When I took it out at home the inner part was stale from staying on the shelf unprotected for too long. When I pay $10 for a piece of bread I expect it to be wholly edible.

This place is great but they sometimes have trouble keeping up when it gets busy. Love almost all the food and the people are very nice.

I only go to this restaurant when my book club meets there. I acknowledge that the fact that they allow our big group to use their space is really nice, but its actually not an ideal setting given how noisy it is. As another reviewer noted, it seems like they always have some kind of dishwasher running, plus the music they have going is quite loud. We have asked in the past if we can lower the volume, but they did not accommodate our request. The service otherwise is generally fair -- more or less speedy and friendly enough. The food is decent. I once had the soup there and it was quite delicious, as was a raspberry lemonade that I tried. Overall, its not a place thats going to blow you away, but as long as you keep that in mind, its fine every once in a while.

After craving a salad while at work, I decided going to Le Pain Quotidien would be an excellent idea. Wow, I dont think Ive ever been more wrong in my life. The salad cost 15 dollars which is ABSURD for a salad even at the nicest of restaurants. When I opened my salad at the office, the tiny box was half empty and looked like someone had just dumped a bag of arugula in a box and threw some mozzarella on top of it. I also ordered chicken in my salad, but did not receive any. This was by far the most let down I have ever felt at a restaurant. Please, for the sake of your own sanity, do not go to a Le Pain Quotidien. Im still hungry and currently eating peanut butter out of a jar.

Food is great however me and my friend both order lattes and 1/2 hr later he was going to throw up and I had the runs. My guess is that the milk used in the latte was bad.

Not my favorite Le Pain Quotidien I have been to. This location still has a great atmosphere and the same great menu as others, however, I found the service to be extremely slow even during non-busy hours (as if they are understaffed) and the quality of the coffee drinks is not as good as at other locations.

I stopped in this morning for breakfast. I sat at a table for over 10 minutes and did not get served. I saw other customers who came in after me get waited on so I got a little upset and went to the front. I asked if I could order to-go and sit at a table. They were upset to hear that I had not been served and took care of me, meal on them. Excellent customer service, but a little short staffed at the moment.

This is the perfect cozy place for healthy and delicious food. Love it.

I get this a French country themed joint, but the barely finished wood decor features the most uncomfortable chairs on which Ive ever sat. Really dont like that you cant pour your own creamer too--staff usually douses coffee in half & half behind the counter. :-/

Real French food, real French service! They have downsized their portions, while increasing prices. Food is no better than any other place you can find in Clarendon. This review is being written after having been there multiple times and just having had it this last visit when they refused to allow my elderly father to use the restroom AFTER we purchased over $20 in coffee and pastries to go (I had taken him there to impress him with the place!). Unless you sit at their tables and get served on their time schedule, you cannot eat at their location nor use their restrooms. I own a home in the neighborhood and Mothers Day has got to be one of the busiest days of the year. The place was flat-out empty. They will need to wake up and realize soon that their business model is unsustainable. They need to 1) down-size the location, 2) increase their menu selection, 3) only have 8-10 tables for wait service, 4) make about 50-75% of their tables free to sit at, and 5) allow anyone who spends money there to use their restroom. Really? Turn away an elderly man who just spent $20 on coffee? Sorry, but you guys just LOST a former customer who will now only disparage your name in Arlington and Clarendon. Too bad- seemed promising.

Worst of their locations. Ive been there twice and both times the service was poor and a $15 entree meal was about as much food as an appetizer. Youll leave hungry and wishing you spent your money elsewhere.

Came here today with a friend. I had some questions on the menu, all of which were answered, so I did appreciate that. However, I found not one, but two hairs in my food - one on a sandwich and one baked into the bread. The service was also rather slow (which I have found to be true at other locations as well). I really want to like this place, but I think Ive given up.

I enjoy coming here for the french baguette and viennoiseries. Very reminiscent of childhood breakfast with croissant, pain au chocolat, and café mousse. Yum, Delicious! Nice treats for all.
