Came down to DC to deliver my daughter her car. Lost the power steering on the way down. After looking online for a garage in the area, we found Metro Motor Pentagon.On a Saturday morning we explained our situation to Ricardo, who was great. We dropped off the car and he had it upon the lift in a couple of hours.Turned out to be a major repair. Service was very professional, reasonably and she had the car back in several days.Wouldn’t hesitate to go back to Metro Motor. Just went in for an annual emissions and state checkup, and it was very easy. Kind workers that don’t try and sell you extra stuff. The most difficult part is finding parking since the location is also a small gas station and shares the building.

About a year and a half ago, while trying to merge onto I-395, my car broke down. Wouldnt budge had to call a tow truck, closest one was this shop, Metro Motor. We thought, oh great a random car shop, and could only hope for the best.Well, we got the best. Ricardo and staff are extremely kind and friendly, and answered all my questions in detail, which is a requirement for me. Weve since had an oil change and another issue handled here. And just like that, my mechanic anxiety is gone. Its such a relief to bring my car here and know if theres ever an issue Ricardo and team are in my corner. Went in for some simple work that would not normally take too long. While work was finally completed a premium was charged which despite them lying to my face twice about when the work would actually be done and dragging their feet as much as possible. Youd think that works the other way around right? They take on too many jobs at once to give good service despite the smiles or kindness that others speak of in their reviews. Id rather not be lied to. The work they do can be found at better rates within miles of this location and without the lies from other garages.

Ricardo is the best Hands down. Ive been to so many different mechanics but none who made me feel as comfortable and positive like Ricardo at Metro motor. I went a whole year trying to figure out what was wrong with my car because the engine light permanently stayed on no matter what I fixed. I was lucky enough to own my car and be able to afford everything that needed fixing on my chevy cruze yr 2014. He worked with me and made sure to be realistic with everything something that most mechanics dont do with women instead they take advantage. We were able to fix everything on my car all types of services were done and now my car is running as if it were brand new. I cant thank him enough honestly. I know, I will get one of the best prices, superb service, exceptional quality work, and the customer service (see Ricardo) is magnificent. He communicates with you to explain what options you have (if any) and spot on estimate, I have yet to experience any surprise charges. They set realistic timelines (the car is typically ready before the expected time) and if you are short on time, they really try to help and work with you. For being a 3 bay facility, they definitely have qualified mechanics to get the job done just like the dealerships with multiple bays. They are dependable and they communicate with the customer on a professional level. You will leave here a happy and returning customer!

Only giving one star so I can describe my experience, would give zero if it was an option. Went here for a safety inspection rather than my normal mechanic because I needed one in a pinch. They failed my car for ridiculous reasons that were an obvious attempt to have me pay for unnecessary repairs. My mechanic confirmed this with me. NEVER go here for an inspection, they will try to bait you into unnecessary work.

MUST VISIT! I have just visited Pentagon Liberty for an issue with my 13-year old car. I just regret that this is the first time Ive done so and not been here before. The team here redefines the notion of Customer Care - more than just service. Ricardo Gonzalez, the Service Manager, is your best friend when it comes to car repair. He took my car for the check-up and, after determining the issue, was not a bit pushing, or even suggesting, making a repair immediately. In fact, they have temporarily fixed the problem and I, most probably, will never make this repair as i do not plan to own the vehicle too long. That, in fact, was the most important piece of information for Ricardo - the first question he had for me was how long I am intending to keep the car. He has spent good 15-20 minutes explaining the situation and outlining [possible scenarios for the next few months. And all of this WITHOUT me paying a cent to them.Seriously, anybody has to visit Pentagon Liberty, even if only for a second opinion. Ricardo and his team will prove to be everything positive you wish your mechanic was - honest, professional, friendly and caring.I know Im going back for my regular services and inspections to them - after being to other places, which were not bad, actually, I finally found the shop I was always just wished for.

Ricardo and his team are phenomenal. We’ve been bringing our VW Passat to Ricardo for about a year and a half (we saw all these amazing reviews and thought they were too good to be true, but they’re not - they’re absolutely the best mechanic we’ve ever been to). Ricardo has saved us probably hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the last year and a half. The other day we heard a thumping every time our tire rotated and were worried it was something serious - took it to Ricardo right away, and he called us twenty minutes later with good news, it was only a screw stuck in the tire which they were able to remove and patch for only $20 (anywhere else would have charged significantly more). We had a surface level paint scratch on the front nose of the car this month, we called around and one place in Fairfax quoted us $200 to fix it - we took it to Ricardo, he removed the scratch for free and GAVE US THE SPRAY HE USED! When there’s been more serious inspection/maintenance issues, we know we can always trust him and his team to be thorough and efficient. We will always choose to go to Ricardo over any other mechanic in the area 100% of the time.

Highly recommend! I had just moved to Arlington 2 days prior to needing my car fixed so I was super stressed and had no idea where to take my car or what might be wrong with it. Ricardo was fantastic, his customer service was top notch and very informative. After running the diagnostic he informed me that my car had a rare electrical issue thar only the dealership could fix. He showed me exactly what/where the issue was and walked me through the next steps I needed to take with the dealership and my insurance company. He knew how stressed I was and made this process so much better- he even waived the diagnostic charge (which would have been $136). I’ll be using his shop from now on!!

This place is quick, reasonable, and honest. Ive only brought my car in for oil changes and safety inspections, but they have always been fast and have never pushed for unnecessary services. Ricardo is extremely friendly and professional, and will honestly tell you if dont need a service performed. My only issue is the safety inspection gentlemen is not the friendliest person. I would definitely recommend this place for any maintenance needs.

I have done a lot of my own work and used some of the nicer specialty shops in the DC metro area, but I was completely caught off guard by the quality of work done by Ricardo and his team on my 07 Grand Prix. If you know auto body shops in the area you know none of them are rated over 4 stars. In this instance, Metro Motors high rating is completely justified . Ricardo calls when he says he will call, he gives fair estimates before work performed and after inspecting the work I was very impressed with his technicians attention to the car. No band-aids, just clean repairs and a sincere hand shake when you come to pick up the car.

I was referred to this location by their Old Town Alexandria N. Henry service manager Orlando Duran Jr. since they are temporary closed for renovations until mid-Nov. I have taken my car their twice for recent service: VA Safety Inspection and wheel alignment (after I mistakenly had my rack and pinion replaced by another mechanic and repair shop that didn’t do a good job). Ricardo took the time to explain the issues and non-issues with my car. He’s honest and highly skilled in his trade. Since the gas station is open 24/7, you can drop-off and pick-up your vehicle when it’s convenient for you. From now on, all repair work will only be done by Ricardo and his team.

I had some transmission problems with my car recently. I have known and been friends with Ricardo for many years. As most of us have probably experienced, it is not always easy to find someone you are able to trust maintaining the needs of your car. Nearly impossible! Recently had brand new wheels and tires installed, as well as a routine oil change and alignment done. I have a different shop that I usually go to that knows me, but I had to cancel my appointment there last minute due to work. I was able to get a booking here last minute and Ricardo took good care of me. Put the old wheels in bags so there was no mess, and everything was done with care and quality. Cost a little bit more than my usual shop, but it was good work, and good techs should make good money.

Ricardo at Pentagon Liberty clearly communicated the best time to come by when I called, and then got to work energetically immediately upon my arrival. I had anticipated leaving the car all day, or at least all morning, but he had it fixed in half an hour.I was in fact already tapping out a positive review for his speed and efficiency when Ricardo told me that there would be no charge for his labor, and wished me a happy Thanksgiving. Im so glad theyre in my neighborhood, and will certainly be returning as a loyal customer.

Wow. I took my 2000 Honda Accord there several times. I must say they were very responsive in getting my car back, reasonably priced and organized with drop offs/pickups. In addition, the service manager Richard G is very courteous and professional. He is an excellent communicator. He is keen on addressing any issues you may have and will follow up with you should you have any doubts. You will not find too many service managers like him around the area. I will definitely be back and recommend anyone I know to go there.

Came for my annual car inspection because of the great reviews (which I’m now convinced are fake) and was told one of my small lights was out on the side of my car as well as the power steering fluid “wasn’t high enough”. I was then told they only sell the power steering fluid at the Nissan dealership and given a rejection sticker. I looked on Amazon while standing in front of the man and found it for $13 and ordered it along with the $3 bulb that was out. I came back and was told it would cost $64 to replace the bulb... that I paid $3 for because they would have to “remove a bunch of parts to get to the lights”. I went 6 minutes down the street to Autozone and the man there came outside, looked at my car and changed the bulb in less than 3 minutes for free without a single tool. This place is a scam and did not offer any solutions to my problems I was “rejected for”. WHEN I CAME BACK, he told me the wrong bulb was replaced and that he couldn’t approve the inspection. He told me that exact same day which light is was, freaking scam this place is. I never leave reviews but this place was just a complete nightmare. Also, neither visit was “quick” the first time I waited over two hours and the second attempt was there for an hour and a half FOR NO REASON AT ALL. Save your time and your sanity and go anywhere else you can.

I cant say enough good things about this place. I have been going here for since the ownership changed over several years back. I have brought my Lexus SUV, my Lexus Sedan, my Acura TL for all my servicing, and brakes, etc. They are alway way lower than any other places that I have received quotes for, and they have always done first rate work. And several times have I gone in for minor service work (flat tire, changing the tire on my scooter, etc.) and Ricardo has fixed the issue without even charging me. This is definitely my go-to service station. They are extremely honest and great prices for work.

$95 oil change for Mazda 3 . Mazda dealership charged me $74 and washed and vacuumed the car.

I’ve been here twice in the past few months, and they have both been reasonably priced and quick experiences. Friendly service! Rob is so efficient at state inspections. On a Saturday morning, I pulled up around 8:15 and my car was ready by 8:45 with a state inspection!

They’re amazing! We cannot praise these guys enough. It was not simply a pleasant experience, but more than that, these guys are extremely knowledgeable and they were able to fix something on our Ford transit connect that A FORD DEALERSHIP THEMSELVES was unable to fix, after 3 tries! These guys fixed the problem entirely in 2 days and fixed a water leak that other places could not. We HIGHLY recommend them and they saved us. We were about to sell the entire work van because it was giving us a huge headache but now, it’s fixed and good as new!

These guys are great. I have lived in a neighborhood for many years, and have come here for all manner of car issues. Today, on hearing that I’ve been affected by the shutdown, they did my inspection for free and gave me the drink of my choice while I waited. I’ll pay them back soon, and send all my friends here.

I’ve been living on Columbia Pike for over 5 years now, which is lovely to call home, but it’s even more amazing to have Pentagon Liberty Gas Station two blocks from my apartment.I am your typical girl, no car enthusiast once so ever. Before moving out of Fairfax and living with my parents my father usually took care of my car needs. It’s not until now I like to call them “mini panic attacks” when you turn your car on and get the “check engine” signal when I know something is wrong. I get dressed quickly, buzz Liberty and usually as frantic as I sound on the phone the other side is a very cam gentleman just stating “Bring it in and we’ll take a look, and take care of it.” Haddi owns Liberty and is practically a second father to me, but the man behind all the magic is Riccardo Gonzalez. I don’t know how this man puts up with me but he does.Riccardo is a renaissance man when it comes with dealing all types of cars. I’ve seen him working on your typical beater cars keeping them running all the way to your high-end models including BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. I myself have a BMW and I tell you I’d trust him then any other BMW dealership to work on my car any day. Not to mention that they charge you way more, and Liberty is super affordable. I’m still in college working full time and taking my car to them does not break my bank.Now to let you guys all know what type of work has been done to my car to really validate all the work and effort because this review is not to just give one, it’s because this establishment (and Riccardo) deserve one. Over the years I’ve had multiple oil changes, state inspections, vehicle emissions, changing out my tires and rotations, had ignition coils replaced, fixed the tube that extracted the air out of my gas chamber, replaced light bulbs, fixed turn signals, and also completely replaced my entire headlight assembly for both my left and right sides.So with all this said and done, I can’t help but refer Pentagon Liberty Gas Station and associate Ricardo to work and repair any of your car needs. They are literally the sweetest, most genuine, tell you how it is people in the car industry and that is what makes me keep coming back to them… Speaking of which apparently my break fluid is low so I’m going to have to see them after I write this! Ive been going there for 5+ years. 2 years ago I moved to Alexandria. I still bring my vehicles to Liberty. Im also familiar with automobile mechanics and I can tell you, these guys have always been straight shooters. When I purchased my Lexus I took it to the dealer 1 time for service. Ill never go back to the dealer for service again. The guys at Pentagon Liberty take great care of my car. My girlfriend used to take her car to the dealer for service because she thought she had to. Disclaimer: This review is solely on customer service from a phone call.I called to inquire about an Uber inspection and the man who answered the phone just had such a pleasant disposition I wanted to highlight that to future customers. He was informative and “uber” polite.

Thieves. Will find problems with your car during inspection that arent there. Told me I had a cracked engine mount and rejected it, I took it to my normal mechanic (30 years of experience) in my home state who was mystified and said there was absolutely nothing wrong with it, as well as a Honda dealership who gave it a clean bill of health. Save your time, money and yourself a traffic ticket and go elsewhere.

My wifes car broke down in unfamiliar area, tow driver recommended Metro Motors. Excellent service and staff. I was very pleased!

The location was great and the receptionist was polite. Just be aware that for an oil change, they would charge a woman twice the price as they would charge a man.

Id avoid this place; the so called tire person did not jack my vehicle up on any of the lift points. I simply wanted a plug, ok- simple right??? Wrong!!! As soon as the dude put the jack beneath my vehicle he then taps the undercarriage as if listening for an echo, he makes an attempt to lift the vehicle with the shop jack; all I could hear was a crunching noise as he tried to lift my vehicle. Knowing he did not have the jack centered on the vehicles lift point, the dude lowered the lack and tried to reposition it again. I got into my vehicle and got the hell out of there. I have an appointment with the dealership to determine if there was any damage.
