Jose and his team really are the best around. Ive been going to Auto America for almost 10 years now since I moved down to the DC area and I have never met a more honest and trustworthy mechanic. Today I had a nail in my tire. I brought it over within 20 minutes and they had me out of there in less than 20! Ive called in the past with car questions and Jose always answers me truthfully. It is comforting to know I can trust his expertise and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Auto America to anyone looking for an honest, fair and reasonably priced service or repair.

Ive become a super fan of AAS within the last year. My neighbor Mr. Smith referred me because he said they were the best mechanics and he did not lie. What started out as a appointment to have my tires changed (mind you I purchased the incorrect size) has now evolved into AAS being my go to for car maintenance and repairs. I used to take both cars (2008/2009) to the dealership for everything but Im come to my senses and prefer the better service and pricing. Jose may be the name everyone knows, but the entire time here at AAS make the place a gem. How many dealerships provided different price points for repairs/maintenance and then takes the time to explain them so that you are clear on the decision you need to make.....Im glad that I was told about them and Ill continue to be a life long customer.

Really, really good experience. Had oil changed at another local shop and was told I needed 4 new brake pads and 4 new rotors. Decided to visit Auto America Service for a second opinion and found out that the back brakes did need to be changed completely but the front brakes had approx. 20% of life left (6,000 to 10,000 miles). Jose was able to have the brake pads and rotors changed out within a couple of hours. Thankful to have found a seemingly reliable, honest, and efficient mechanic.

Everyone at this place is so nice...from the front office folks when I was scheduling appointments to the mechanics in the garage. I came here for a second opinion after an inspection and awful experience at NTB. They told me that most of what the other shop found wrong was perfectly fine on my car. Jose explained everything to me and even pulled out a little diagram of brake pads and rotors to explain to me why they wouldnt be able to just resurface my rotors. The prices were great, work was done very promptly, shop is nice and they have a great waiting area with a little window into the shop for weirdos like me who are curious about car work and like to see some of it being done! lol. I never felt like I was being pushed to do something that didnt need to be done, quite the opposite actually. Jose and the crew here have gained a loyal customer in me!! This shop is incredible. I’ve never been to a shop this clean, orderly, professional and customer friendly. I went for an oil change for my BMW. They were quick and the waiting area is super nice. Better than most dealership waiting rooms. After completing my oil change, Alex took his time to show me other issues with my car. He didn’t pressure me into repairs and ranked them all in priority. Although I declined the repairs at this time (selling car), he provided a print-out of the potential repairs and the estimated cost. This shop has exceptional service and Alex is a prime example of how you retain customers. As long as I’m in the area, this will be my go-to shop!

They did a great job. I made an appointment and they met me at the door on time. The price was good for the oil change. They were done in a timely manner and sent me an invoice to pay online. It was a good experience. I would definitely recommend this place.

These guys were awesome. I went in due to a subtle noise from my brakes, and the guys took my car out to listen to it. They didnt hear anything, so they asked me to drive with them and pin point it. They noted my brakes were good, just metalic which makes a noise sometimes. They didnt charge me a thing. They just explained the problem and even explained how to park my car to save my transmission!

Carlos is very easy to work with. From my experience they have been very straight forward with me. Their prices are fair but the quality of work is worth the money. The waiting area is very relaxing, spacious, and modern as well as offer water and coffee. They also have a little window overlooking the shop from the waiting area so you can see the progress of your car. Overall great shop, would use again.

Never go here for an inspection! They failed me for an engine mount? They showed me the regulation and it said broken or missing. It doesnt say it needs to be brand new. This Honda Odyssey literally idles smoother that my Hyundai Kona with 10k miles on it.

Ive brought my vehicle here multiple times and they have always been incredibly intelligent, speedy, and most importantly ... trustworthy. Anytime anyone asks if I know of a trusted mechanic shop, I always recommend Auto America Service. I am so glad that I found them. The cost of their labor is lower than all other mechanic shops in the area (I call around every time for price quotes), and the quality of their work is great too. And they are HONEST. I have asked to see the parts they replaced on my car after the repair and they totally take me in back of the garage to show me what they replaced. And I cannot fail to mention how FABULOUS Jose is. He is so kind and friendly. Very welcoming - always smiling - knowledgeable. Takes the time to go out and test drive the car with you so that he understands the issue. The receptionist is super friendly too. I will not go anywhere else so long as Jose is still working there.

I’m used to getting schemed by auto shops left and right, however upon my first visit I felt perfectly safe in auto america’s Hands. The staff were very helpful in explaining their course of action to care for my car, and the facility is very clean; you can tell they put effort into their image. Reasonable prices as well

These guys are awesome! They are honest and extremely helpful. Ive had minor and major work done on three different vehicles so far and will continue to use them in the future.They have a really great rewards points system too that helps you save some money on future expenses.They are probably not the cheapest shop around, coming in at around $100/hour in labor charge, but are still significantly cheaper than dealers and are well worth the cost. They back their work and truly try to take care of their customers. Ive also noticed that sometimes the estimates for the labor time is sometimes a little higher than other shops, but Ive NEVER had them exceed the cost of the estimate. Many shops underestimate the amount of time itll take and then charge you higher than the quoted price, which Ive never experienced here.Bottom line, these guys will take care of you at a fair price and do the job really well. Super reliable. I recommend them to ANYONE in the area.

This was the best experience I have had with a repair shop. Even though the part to repair my breaks was hard to find, they still got my car repaired in a timely manner, and even earlier than expected! Their staff was extremely nice and updated me as the repair progressed. I would absolutely recommend this shop!

Great customer service! Employees/mechanic were very friendly and honest about my vehicle. I didnt feel pressured or lied to during the quotes which can happen at other auto shops, especially if the customer is not mechanically inclined. Service was done relatively quick and at a good price. Ill definitely be back for future maintenance.

This is the best mechanic shop I have ever found in this area. I used to call around when I needed something fixed, but Auto America ALWAYS has the best price is what Ive found. Whats more, they are very friendly and courteous and take the time to explain what they are doing/have done and even what will be needed in the future (and the timeline or mileage that I can expect to need to replace something, along with tell-tale signs to watch/listen for). Multiple times they have also discovered small things that needed fixing or replacing during normal service and they have thrown these in for free. Auto America is awesome and the only mechanic I recommend in the Arlington area.

Great service! Brought out commercial truck here for oil change. They have big garage doors so 13ft clearance wasn’t a problem. Staff was really nice, specially their service advisor. Young cool guy! Brought my 2005 ford focus in for several issues. Not only did they accurately diagnose all the problems I was having but they beat every other mechanic I called on price. Jose was fantastic, great customer service all around.

Came in for oil change on my truck. The waiting room was brand new, very clean, and had fast WiFi. Receptionist was very pleasant, tech who I dealt with was great. Will be coming back for future service needs. Probably one of the best oil change experiences I’ve had.

Very friendly, honest, etc. Ive been with them for 7 years. They will explain in laymans terms what is wrong with my car, how long I can safely let it go before I have to fix it, how much it will cost with name brand vs after market parts, show me the old parts that they took out, etc. They also will give a free ride to and from a destination within 5 miles while they work on your car.

Ive come to this shop twice in the last year. First was to fix a bad rotor job that another garage screwed up. The second was to replace my cars engine throttle body assembly and to clean the intake (this issue was causing my transmission to slip). Both times my car was finished (and in much better condition) within 24 hours. One of the employees even gave me a ride home in his own car while mine was being repaired. If you call, ask for Jose. Hes great!

Jose and the staff at Auto America Service are by far the most professional people I have met at an Auto Shop. The service is excellent, and their honest and high quality work is what every auto shop in America should strive for. This is one of the best auto service shops you will ever come across.

I went to Auto America for a standard oil change and tire rotation, $90 out the door for full synthetic and a tire rotation is on par with most other service stations (I have a v8 Lexus that takes over 5 quarts). They also did an inspection of the breaks, tires and belts, after the review they topped off the break and windshield wiper fluid and gave me a good bill of health. Jose was extremely courteous and won my business over. I have to echo the other reviews, the customer service was excellent, pricing was fair and I will definitely go back.

I definitely recommend this place. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I have taken my car there twice, once a couple of years ago and one time more recently. Both times I felt that the mechanics were honest and trust worthy. During my most recent visit I took my car to get my AC fixed. As it turns out I only had a loose valve that cause the refrigerant to leak. It was an easy fix. In a any other shop I am sure the mechanics would have tried to squeeze some extra unnecessary repairs.

Friendly but left black grease staining all over my sueded beige fabric seats when i brought my car in for an estimate a while ago.

Great place to receive affordable auto service

Ive use both body and engine service at Auto America. Rene on the body side told me like it was when I brought in my mangled car. He knew that I had a limited budget and worked with me to get used parts and fixed my car on budget. Jose takes great care of my engine. Ive had to bring my 2006 PT Cruiser in for quick fixes and major overhauls and ever time the work has been spot on in price and quality. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Really got better than expected service. Worked with Rene for body work. He was very straight up with me about my options. He also did a good job of contacting me when decisions needed to be made. He invited me to come a few days later when my car was taken apart so that I could see all the specific areas of damage. And the estimate & final price were less than at other shops. I would return here as my first choice in the future. The aspect that set my experience apart was the openness to discuss the different options to work out a solution that fit my budget.

Last time I got my oil change I had it done at another shop where I felt as if they completely tried to con me out of money. At Auto America they did my oil change and gave me a very real diagnosis of everything going on with the car. The last place I was told Id need to spend $800 on new brakes--turns out the brakes were fine, and they gave me a timetable for when theyd need to be serviced. They also gave me a written quote on other items needed maintenance.I think to sum it up: I felt like Auto America was up front and professional. Ive already scheduled future work with them.

For their $26 oil change, they immediately stated my car took a synthetic oil and that the change would cost $20 extra. This was a total lie, as I have changed my own oil throughout its life, and it clearly states AES 5W 30 on the engine block. After I called the attendant out on trying to rip me off, things got a little bit better, though obviously I lost their trust. The mechanic, another man who worked on my car, pointed out some legitimate things that might need addressing, though I will take it elsewhere for sure. Be careful!!

This place is AWESOME! I went there for the first time yesterday. The service was fast and Jose took me under my truck to see a transmission leak that needed to be attended to. Its so nice that they care about their customers and go into such detail about care for the car, unlike other places that tell you whats wrong and you have to take them at their word. In the 30 days before bringing my car to Auto America Service, I had the oil changed and an odd sound checked out at the dealership, and my annual safety inspection completed (passed with one bulb change) at another service station. The strange sounds continued to worsen and grow louder, so I decided to take my car back to the shop where I had the inspection completed. However, a friend recommended me to Auto America Service and I truly couldnt be happier! I pulled into the shop at 8am on the dot on a Saturday with no appointment. Jose greeted me kindly and shook my hand. I asked if he could take a look/listen, and he politely explained that he could work on the car today but there were other cars ahead with appointments - no problem for me. I turned the car on and revved the engine and Jose identified and diagnosed the problem immediately. Literally within 4 minutes of arriving to Auto America Service, I knew what was wrong with my car and that it needed to be fixed. While I waited for the estimate, I was able to use that knowledge to do a quick search for the part (an expensive one, unfortunately), so I knew what to expect when the estimate was presented, and the price was more than fair. In an effort to exhaust all possibilities, I did run down to the shop which completed my safety inspection earlier in the month and received a price quote quickly (same diagnosis), but it was much higher than the work offered by AAS, so I returned at 9am to have the repair completed. My car was fixed and ready to be picked up by 3:30pm. Despite the repair being an expensive one, I really couldnt be more pleased with the service and friendly attention to detail I received at Auto America Service. You will not be disappointed if you take your car to this great shop!Pros: genuinely friendly service, clean/warm waiting area, free coffee/tea, free wifi, new magazines, TV, attention to detail, patience and time to explain/demonstrate issues, free reward program with achievable redemption levelsCons: none!

I have/had three mechanics that I trust in my entire life that I swear by and this is one of them, probably the best out of all of them. I have a place in Timonium, MD and a place in Philadelphia, PA. Being a weekend mechanic out of Lincoln Tech myself, I can tell you Jose, Rico, Renee...all these guys are good guys and they do GREAT work. I have a old Range Rover and an Nissan 350Z they done all kinds of work on both. They even gave me the best price when I blew my engine on the Z. Im telling you, dont second guess the decision to use Auto America. Mr. Smith

Had a popped tire and broken bolt and despite them being busy they still managed to fit me in same day. The service was fast and fairly priced. Jose worked hard to get my car fixed up.

I had a positive experience here. I took my vehicle here for a VA state inspection and the mechanic and the woman in the office that I dealt with were both kind and polite and my bill ended up being smaller than I expected. I will do business here again.

They were friendly, but I dont trust their assessment of my car. I took my car to Auto America for inspection, it passed... and I also got a suggested list that added up to around $3,000. I asked brother to come down and make sure that was correct (he and my dad do that kind of thing). My car only needed one of the things they suggested. My brother will be completing that project and I will not be taking my car back there.

I was in a bind after getting screwed over by a major retailers auto service center. I needed to find another mechanic and was in a hurry so I basically picked Auto America without doing any research etc. Boy did I get lucky. The service manager Renee was great. I didnt feel like I was getting ripped off and he seemed like he could be trusted. Professional and friendly, knew what he was talking about. I dropped off my car and had it back earlier than expected, very happy with the whole process. (Installing a front metal bumper on my FJ cruiser) They had a nice waiting room with couches and TV and free WiFi. The price was reasonable, will be back!
