No one was at the counter last time I visited. This time I waited and waited, then saw the sign on the side to order online. I started the process on the phone and was almost finished when a young woman appeared. She didn’t say a word for the entire transaction. I got the Truffle Mille Cake and was disappointed. They put crumbles of truffles (? I’m guessing) in with the cream and it makes for a gritty texture. The cream had a slightly sour taste too, not sure if that was intentional. Bummer.

Loved the each bite of the pastries, 1st time we bought their signature crepe n chocolate crepe pastry, they were delicious n cream was fresh, not very sugary or sweet. After couple of the month we bought their signature cake which has the same taste. One of the best crepe cakes I have ever, yes little expensive but worth the each penny.For different flavour cakes we need to order in advance.

First time here and it was wonderful, we bought 3 slices! I will definitely be back for more!!

Absolutely love this place 2nd time coming since its 3+ hrs away from where I live. I dont know how they do it Ive had many crepe cakes but this is one of the best ones Ive had I gotten the tiramisu and passionfruit and both magnificent. Only downside is it is expensive or else I would buy tons more flavors.

(posted 2017)Located inside the Mitsuwa shopping complex, Lady M is next to the MaMa House Korean stand in the food court. They sell whole cakes, cakes by slice, and hot and iced teas.I was surprised to see Lady M in Chicago, surprised in a good way. They are famous for their mille feuille cakes so I had to get one.I got a slice of their signature Mille Crepe. It was $8.18 total after tax. If you want the whole cake, itll cost $80.The guy taking my order and handing me the cake was very nice and friendly. We connected about living in California and he was telling me how this location just opened the week before. He seemed to be doing all the work by himself that Monday during lunch. (To management, perhaps give him a bonus in pay. He seems to be doing an awesome job.)As for the cake, the crepes are extremely thin, like paper thin. The crepes are slightly chewy, so slicing off a piece with a fork may cause the crepe to collapse under the pressure of the dull fork edge. The sides and top are covered with a simple sugar syrup and the top is lightly bruleed (not so sure actually). The sugar syrup really helps with an extra sweetness to balance the pastry cream.The pastry cream is rich and not very eggy. This makes the whole cake very clean and decadent. I may recommend eating one layer of crepe at a time. Either way, its pretty good.The only negative is the price. The cakes are fairly expensive here, but that comes with the fame I suppose.If you havent had a mille crepe before and youre minding your budget, look for the frozen or refrigerated mille crepes that you may find in Japanese grocers. The taste and texture are fairly similar. Im not sure if this Chicago mitsuwa has any though.If money isnt an issue, Lady M is a refined version of your typical mille crepe and you should absolutely go and enjoy a slice.

I took my two boys to get a slice of their delicious cake. We had it for the first time in Taiwan a couple of years ago and were delighted to learn that they had a location so close to us here! The boys were debating amongst themselves between chocolate and matcha. Ultimately, my oldest son won the debate and got chocolate. My younger one was disappointed but accepted it. When the lady brought our box to us, she told us she had included a little surprise.When we get home, we open the box and found that she had put both kinds of cake in the box bc she didnt want the younger one to be upset!It goes without saying that gestures like this go a LONG way... not bc it was an extra slice of cake, although thats also super great, but bc she paid attention and cared enough to make a little boys day great.Thank you!

Very disappointed my LadyM. For a boutique bakery, they def don’t have good customer service.I ordered a cake for my friend & paid expedite shipping. Not only the cake arrived 3 days late, it came damage.I contacted their customer service for a refund. Their customer service rep is not polite and being apologetic for their mistake. They insisted to send another cake instead of giving me refund. My friend doesn’t want cake anymore. Her birthday party has already passed. *sigh*I love their cake, but will def not order it ever again. Very disappointed with their customer service.

I am SO HAPPY they opened one in the Chicago suburbs! Literally only 20 minutes away from me near Woodfield mall! The best crepe cakes Ive ever had! I tried these for the first time in New York and I thought I would only get them there. The classic crepe cake is delicious! The green tea is great too! I have yet to try the lemon one!

I ordered 2 cakes couple weeks ago. One for my work, one for my family. They loved it and it is truly something they never had before.They all said, it is not too sweet, it is just right amount!Some may think it is little pricy.I ordered the cakes Friday, and pick it up Saturday.The whole transition was smooth.I waited about 2-3 minutes.

Very pricey but super delicious. Definitely the best cake I’ve ever had in my life. Try the matcha green tea crepe cake or vanilla.Do not order regular cakes here.Order only crepe layered cake. Drink it with hot black tea or a cuppa coffee. Absolutely perfect

Service was quick and efficient. Cake was delicious- not too sweet and very moist. The price was absolutely outrageous though. Personally, $8-$9 for one small slice of cake is too expensive.

I come here and they said they don’t have the cake that I want. Then why you put the pick up location in and you don’t have the cake?!? Also, they said they make a cell to me and I didn’t receive any call. Just speechless!😑

A gentleman named Ethan helped me choose what I was looking for and was extremely professional. Very friendly and attentive staff and the cakes are astounding. Where else can I get a mille crepe?!

They werent bad cakes, but overpriced for what they are.The green tea one had far too much matcha powder on top, making it difficult to eat as the powder would create a paste in your mouth.The service was terrible. A single employee to take care of the entire store, ordering, slicing, boxing. Would disappeared to the back of store for 3-5 minutes at a time leaving the line of customers to wonder when shed return.Was too busy to give us water with our order.

From my understanding, they import their cakes from New York, so the quality is of course still exceptional! Not sure why this location is suffering from dismal reviews.

This white arrogant saleswoman doesnt seem she wants to work or didnt care much about costumers services. the green tea mille crepes was over power with green tea powders. Checkers looks nice but very dried. Chocolate mille crepes and signature mille crepes were okay. prices were reasonable. not too impressive with Lady M.

Visited there yesterday (11/25). Worst consumer service I ever had. She was looking other people when we were talking. I pretty sure she said Asian when she walked into kitchen. I do think I will go there again because I really dont like racism server. Also, she refused to give me the second pack of ice even we bought 2 boxes of cakes. I am not driving 3 hrs to pay the attitude like that!

Worst customer service Ive ever had in my life.Ordered 2 cakes and called to cancel one of them in an hour after the order; the lady said I would get my refund on my pick up; however when I went to pick up they still gave me two cakes for no reason and refused to give me refund. She told me her manager had called to let me know the cancellation was denied, while I havent got any phone call from the manager.I asked for the managers number but they refused to tell me. Well, its my daughters first birthday so I was kinda in a rush so I didnt have time to argue with them and picked up these two cakes.I would never buy any cake from Lady M anymore. I cant believe who doesnt care about the customers would have good product.

Management really needs to give more attention to this place. Ive been frequent customer in NYC and service in Des Plaines lacks everything. When I approached the counter there was nobody nearby. I stood for several minutes until someone made an appearance. The store associate walked in and was talking on the phone with another customer. She didnt greet me or asked to wait. She then walked out again away from the storefront and Ive waited several more minutes. Then finally she got off the phone and came back to the store. This is definitely not the service Ive experience before in NYC and most of the customers would also prefer to receive uniform service good or bad.

Delicate cake and taste good..however dont think it is so good that it justify the price

The store is supposed to be closed at 7:00pm on 10/1 but when we traveled through heavy traffic for half an hour and arrived at 6:55 the store is already closed. Very disappointed about the early closure.

We purchased 5 slices of cake last Saturday and it was about $40. Our cake had fuzz and hair in the layers! What we did taste was mediocre for the price and then to find several contaminants in the cake was disgusting. Worst cake experience!
