Ordered on DoorDash for a little tea party at home. Everything was fresh and delicious, and they went the extra mile by sending two replacement treats when one of the items I had ordered was out-of-stock. Will definitely be ordering again and checking out additional menu items. Croissants, chocolate chip cookie, scone, and raspberry tart were all fabulous. I really liked how the tart had a cake-y and not custard-y filling that made it very taste but not overindulgent or rich.

A beautiful place to get tea, catch up with friends, and eat delicious pastries. My mom & I also stopped in for their high tea service and it was fabulous! We left very happy and very full. The Bakester is located in downtown Arlington Heights, IL and owned by super friendly business women. I bought 75 cupcakes from The Bakester as treats for the school teachers and staff. Sonya was friendly and suggested me the flavors which everyone liked. I bought Chocolate flavor and Vanilla cupcakes with Raspberries. The order was ready on time and cupcakes were fresh. All teachers and staff appreciated the yummy treats.

We hosted a bridal shower and had The Bakester provide the food. Due to Covid-19 we needed a food option that was individually wrapped, looked good and tasted delicious. The Bakester did not disappoint. The tuna salad sandwiches on croissants and the turkey salad sandwiches on croissants were so tasty. The croissants were flaky and buttery just like you would want! The fruit tart was out of this world with fresh fruit and custard that was creamy and just melted in your month. The salads were provided in individual containers with mixed greens and fresh toppings. We received so many complaints on the food at the shower we couldnt be happier. I would use The Bakester again for caterings or just to stop in for a delicious treat!

Got the blackberry white chocolate cheesecake and it was delicious and the macaroon on top was the best I’ve ever had! Will be coming back soon! I was also very impressed by the decor in the store and the quality of customer service.

This place has a great vibes for a morning cafe. The coffee is very smooth and has a great flavor. I highly recommend ordering the savory crêpe it’s absolutely stunning and delicious. It was a first time for me to try this place and absolutely I will come back again. The staff are very professional and nice. This place is a must visit Place.

A friend sent us a gift assortment of various delectable items from The Bakester, and I cannot say enough good stuff about it! Sweet, savory, in between.... Im not even sure what some of it was, but it was all delicious! My friend also said they were very accommodating with delivery, although that isnt a regular service for them. I LOVED the quiche in particular, but the chocolate desserts, croissants, and even scones (of which Im not usually a fan) were all soooo good. Please patronize this bakery so it will still be there after this craziness!

I absolutely love the Bakester! It is such a warm beautiful place and the food is nothing less than delicious! I love coming here! I went their with my girlfriend and really the place is beautiful and I liked it. I recommend this place for people who want a quiet place to study or have date because it’s quiet there.

Croissants are fabulous, every bit as delicious as in Paris. Love the mini quiches, especially the spinach. The quiche filling is so delicate it almost melts on your mouth. What a great addition to the downtown area of arlington heights!

My whole family loves our frequent trips to the Bakester. The croissants are perfectly flaky and delicious. All of the pastries are so well done and we love picking something new out of the pastry case every time we go. The overall decor and ambiance are so beautiful and relaxing. The staff is always so welcoming, kind and always engage in conversation with my very curious little kids.

I had an AMAZING experience choosing the Bakester for our Gender Reveal cake. They were able to make the cake within 24 hours, whereas most other bakeries would have taken 5-7 days! The cake was beautiful, and she got it done right on time. The staff was so friendly and professional, as well. Im so excited we chose The Bakester for our special day to welcome our baby.

Spinach crepes always delicious for lunch, love the flaky croissants and individual quiches to take home for snacks. As for sweets, key lime pie, chocolate cake, carrot cake are delish. Havent had anything I dont like. BTW, theyve expanded with a new dining room, decorated with marble topped tables, comfortable chairs. Only thing... service for dine in can be a little slow.

The croissants here make you feel like you are in a cafe in Europe. They are light and flaky. Absolutely love them. Other pastries are amazing too. Owner is very welcoming every time I go there. Can’t wait to try sandwiches this summer.

The Bakester is by far our favorite place to visit and eat. The food and treats are exceptional and everyone who works there is kind and helpful. I love The Bakester!! Its my favorite cafe/bakery in the suburbs! Ive been coming here since it opened a few years ago and every experience has been wonderful. The owner Sonia and her staff have always been so friendly, sweet, and accommodating to everyone that walks in. The decor is so pretty and makes you feel like youre in a European cafe. Their pastries and food are delicious! I love their croissants! There is finally a place in the suburbs that has authentic and flaky croissants. I also really like their other pastries, crepes, paninis, croissant breakfast sandwich, soups (my fav is the sweet potato & ginger!), scones, and quiche. Come here for a pastry and a cappuccino and youll feel like youve been transported to Europe :)

Brought a group here for a party. We had so much fun! Great service. The staff went above and beyond to help us. Definitely will be back!

The baked goods were pretty good. I probably wont come back though, mainly because of all of the single use plastics they used. I dont want a cupcake in a hard plastic container when cardboard is more than fine and wont last in the last fill for the next 2,000 years.

The egg croissant sandwich is amazing! Latte was perfect with nice froth. Pastries look good and taste good.

My friend ordered a birthday cake from here and it was gross! She complained about the icing and they said that she was lying. I didn’t like it so much to the point I spit it out in the bathroom at the end of dinner. Instead of giving her a new cake or any compensation they lashed out at her. I do not recommend you try this place.

We ordered our daughters Birthday cake and it was delicious and beautiful!The owner is talented and a true artist in cake decorating.The chocolate cake was moist and not too sweet and the chocolate mousse filling was amazing . Quality ingredients and beautiful!!We also love her chocolate croissants. Flaky, buttery and delicious fine Belgium chocolate.Please give this place a try. You wont reqret it.

My sister ordered two birthday cakes from the Bakester; one for her husband and another for my son. These were by far one of the best cakes I have ever tasted. The decorating was excellent and the frosting was to die for!

My aunt lives nearby and I swung by The Bakester to grab an iced latte. Very very good. Smooth, not bitter with a good amount, but not too much ice. I also had a croissant, which was pretty good (not amazing) and a muffin which was very good.All-around good choice for a morning coffee and a nosh.Service was really friendly.

I ordered a German Chocolate Cake with traditional Coconut frosting. When I picked it up it looked very nice. When we cut it, I saw that it was not German Chocolate at all, but rather chocolate cake with coconut frosting. The cake was delicious but not what I ordered.

The Bakester is one of our favorite spots in Arlington Heights. The food is amazing, and the staff is always friendly to us and our kids.

I reserved the place for a small tea party, and everything was perfect. Food was great and tea that we were served was amazing. Definitely recommend it. Brownie and Raspberry scone is a MUST try.

We had family in from out of town, and while exploring downtown Arlington Heights, we came upon The Bakester Patisserie and what a delightful surprise! From the moment we walked into this heavenly smelling, friendly and charming bakery, we knew we were going to enjoy some delicious pastries. We decided to select 6 different pastries to share, and they were ALL absolutely delicious! Fresh, flaky, and fabulous! My only regret is that I have missed stopping in The Bakester Patisserie during its opening year, but I will certainly be returning soon!

The Bakester is an Arlington Heights gem! Such a charming little spot with absolutely excellent offerings. Pastries are mouthwatering- try the raspberry scone and a cappuccino. And dont miss the lunch offerings! Potato ginger soup, turkey cranberry salad on a flaky butter croissant, and the quiche are my favorites. Im moving soon to Texas and will miss this place!

This place was beyond amazing when they first opened. I’m not sure what changed but the pastries not only no longer look alike but they don’t taste the same at all. Croissants taste like the same stuff I can get at Costco. Save your money.And it’s funny that the owner has her own employees write reviews.
