I recently rented 2 units at Extra Space on Bestgate and Rick was great! He has awesome customer service and helped me and my mom with all our storage needs. I would highly recommend this location.

Although the website experience (in trying to sign up to rent) was a bit clumsy, the follow through by Rick at the Bestgate Road Annapolis, MD location was outstanding. He processed the rental, made sure I understood everything, followed up once I had received my documents to sign and then confirmed our Unit # and pass code.It was reassuring to see the care and attention Rick took to make sure we were satisfied with our decision!

It’s a shame because other people’s experiences here seem to be good and the employees seem to be kind individuals. But this place increased my rental fee from $70 to $116 (a 65% price hike) month to month with no attempt to disclose the change to me, they just helped themselves to the money out of my account as an automatic payment. I know they have my phone number and I subscribed to receive text notifications about my account, so it was well within their power to let me know… just a scummy business practice. Someone is looking into it for me now, but said there’s no chance of getting my original rate back. Pretty disappointing and stressful for someone on a budget.

Honestly, this was the best experience I’ve had renting a storage unit! I was able to do virtually everything online, which was a new experience for me, but the process was simple and easy to follow. I even got a discount for renting the unit online!I went to the unit a few days after booking, and there was a lock waiting for me in my unit. There is a fee for the lock, but their units work best with a specific type of lock (one that I’ve never seen before) so I was happy to pay the fee so I wouldn’t have to guess what kind of lock to buy. The unit was clean and spacious just as the website indicated. The location itself is very secure, and the elevators and carts on the premise make it super easy to move your stuff even if it’s on a higher floor.The manager even called me to check in and make sure everything went smoothly. This has been a great experience so far, and I’m happy I chose this facility for my storage needs!

Reserving my unit online was straightforward and easy. I accessed my unit the same day with no issues at all. The manager even reached out to me over the phone to make sure everything went okay. Would recommend to my friends and family.

I tell you what! If you have to much stuff this is the place to keep it!!! I couldnt believe how easy it was to get my unit and BANG all my stuff is out the house. Happy wife Happy life!

I just rented a 5x10 storage unit from Extra Space Storage on Bestgate Road in Annapolis, MD. Tony made the process so quick and easy I was in and out in 20 mins. He was great and very helpful. Call Extra Space and ask for Tony. Hell get you in and out.My only suggestion would be for Extra Space to provide its renters with a map. It can get confusing and almost maze-like.~CherylCrimsonTide

Very clean. Climate controlled. Nice staff. I dont like those mouse traps. They are supposed to be cruelty free. But for that to happen you have to empty them. They could release the mice outside in the woods but they dont. So those traps are very cruel cuz the animals die of no water or food.

Wonderful customer service!! I worked with Gene Hong at the Bestgate - Annapolis location. He answered every question I had with ease. And believe me, I had a ton of questions! He was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with! The facility is very clean and well kept up. I would highly recommend this facility without any doubt in my mind.

I reserved a unit online late one night and was told I would receive a call from the local manager. The next morning Gene called to work out the details of the rental. I was still at work so we arrange a time for him to call me back. He called at that exact time and walked me through the whole process. He was very helpful, pleasant and efficient. I was very pleased with this interaction. The unit is clean, well lit and the right size.

The location at 708 Bestgate is fantastic and the service is absolutely top notch! We arrived on a Saturday at 4pm and Gene was there and answered all of our immediate questions. Since it was not clear if we had a lock waiting for us in the storage unit, he gladly gave us a lock right then and there (that we purchased) to ensure that our unit would have a lock.We are so thankful to have found this gem of a storage facility in the Annapolis area!

I highly recommend Extra Space Storage on Bestgate Road. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is new and very clean. It is convenient to get things in and out of your storage unit. I felt very safe being there alone and felt that my belongings were safe. The location is also very convenient from downtown Annapolis and other areas around town.

This is the second storage facility I have used in Annapolis, and it far exceeds my experience at the previous place. The staff was friendly, informative, and able to answer all of the questions I had. Unlike the previous location, there is no code access for the elevator, and the entrance is at ground level (no stairs!) so it makes moving into and out of my car easier. Security was not lacking as there are cameras everywhere, and the facility requires a code to get onto the property and then into the building. Will definitely recommend this to anyone looking to store their stuff.

I checked other storage places in the area and for the size and price this is the best. It was a pleasure working with Kyrah and the facility is very clean and well laid out. Access hours are convenient to.

All went well with all staff. It’s great to have first floor unit and a clean, new place. When no one us in office, you can’t keep doors open for loading/unloading. At other places you can do it easily.

Facility is very clean but they rush you through an online contact that definitely has information they don’t mention. Take your time and read it thoroughly. I didn’t and got a call while I was traveling in Europe that there was a mandatory lock clause that was never mentioned and that they were going to put one on themselves and mail me the keys AND charge my account if I didn’t get there within a few hours. From 3,000 miles away this was a very frustrating phone call and the woman on the phone was not helpful with any solution other than me giving them more money for a lock I didn’t want or need.
