For the second time, I paid for my storage unit. They havent taken off the second lock again. I had to wait over an hour the first time and they ended up just cutting the lock. This time, I am waiting again for over an hour. If the account was paid, then take the locks off. There is a simple system in place to keep track of storage units that are paid. Very frustrating. Ever since U-Haul took over this facility, I have had nothing but problems.
I have found it completely impossible to get hold of anyone on the phone regarding my storage area. I needed to speak to someone! We had an emergency and needed to expand our storage space.I have found another facility who actually answers the phone, and it looks like Ill just use that place instead, including moving my stuff from the u-haul facility to the new one. Maybe they are trying to shut down the storage and want us to leave? Maybe they just want to rent trucks now? I dont know. Too bad. I liked the place.
Everyone we talked to while renting 2 Uboxes was great but, especially the assistant manager billy freeman at the Annapolis uhaul off west street. We came to pick up the uboxes with our Tahoe and he showed us how to set it up on the hitch. He even gave us his personal cell if we needed it so we could also coordinate a drop off with him. A few days later when we brought the ubox after hours we couldn’t figure out how to disconnect the hitch it was really stuck. He took our call at 10:30 pm and helped us on facetime. Just unreal customer service we were exhausted from packing for days and were so grateful for this level of customer service. If you are renting uboxes ask for Billy!
Ive been an Extra Space customer over the last 2 years in 3 different cities and have always loved how clean and dry their facilities were and the availability of carts!BUT, Extra Space is expensive, raise their rates somewhat drastically, and no longer a cost effective solution for my needs so I thought Id give Uhaul a try given the price and awesome customer service.I have to say I was a little disappointed with this facility - the customer service was great, the main office was great, but the actual building my unit is in looked a little worse for wear and showed evidence of water damage - which does NOT instill confidence. LOL!The price is right and Ive got renters insurance, but it still stinks to worry about your stuff - so be sure to check out the unit before moving day!

Ubox is a good system but the customer service at this location is horrible. In my 9 months renting Uboxes there I was never able to get through by phone - my call was always routed to a call center with long wait times.This location was also unable to provide a receipt for terminating either of my contracts. They claim its emailed but it wasnt. When finally getting a receipt for my second return, after nearly an hour with the call center, I determined that it did not terminate the storage contract. So this required another hour with the call center, only to be transferred to a different call center and another long wait.My experience could have been 5 star if this location would have been available by phone, especially since Uhaul.com is worthless for anything but reservations.Dont get a Ubox from this location unless youre prepared to spend hours on hold with the call center.
The cleanest U-haul Ive ever been to. The staff was extremely helpful and everything was well organized.
Everything in my storage unit is covered in mouse droppings. Ive called multiple time and keep getting told somebody will call me back. Nobody has reached out to me. Im in the middle of a move and everything I own is now in this mouse infested storage unit.
The Young lady in the West Street location in Annapolis was friendly and knowledgeable.
Erica Black was very professional, pleasant and fast. I came in to rent a pickup truck without a reservation and she quickly got me into one within a few minutes. Her coworker, whom I didnt catch his name, was equally as pleasant and professional. While Erica was finalizing the paperwork, he was outside pulling the truck up to the front. Erica gave me an estimated cost that turned out to be within $2 of the actual cost. I will definitely use this shop again in the future.

Reserved a Uhaul a week ago. Funny thing is I never actually reserved one? They were new and accidently booked out all of their Uhauls and just decided to never check before reserving one, nor letting us know at any point about the issue. We were also informed by the new employee that had no manager she did this to multiple people. To be frank, the competency or sobriety of the staff is questionable at best. Hard no people.
