I was extremely disappointed with the level of service provided at the Annapolis Arhaus last month. My husband and I visited the store during our day/lunch date, while our infant was with the sitter. We’ve purchased here before and usually had good customer service experiences. This visit we were interested in purchasing a new sectional for our basement, and we liked the functionality of the Coburn six piece. I asked the manager, Dan, who was actually helpful, about there finance options. He mentioned the interest deferred options and told me that we could apply for the archange on their website. Dan was very nice but this was my first red flag. I guess I’m not accustomed to being sent to apply for credit online, especially when in store. I only really visit these types of stores because I figured ppl work on commission. I could’ve just purchased the sectional online while we were at lunch when I applied for the card. I didn’t because I wanted to make sure the sales folks got commission (not sure if they work for commission there but I assumed so).I applied for the card and went back in to the store after lunch. Dan was gone or on a break by then, so a lady assisted and said Dan mentioned that we might return. Here’s the problem. When the lady pulled up my info (by my social security number) another person’s information showed up in there system. What?!!! How?!! The lady could not assist me with purchasing with my Archarge card because their system showed a different persons name attached to MY ssn.The lady showed me a list of phone numbers and told me to call their customer service to figure out the problem. So, there in the store I stood and called customer service, who found my correct information immediately. After several calls, back and forth, it was clear that the issue was internal to the store. The entire experience was quite humiliating and turned our casual day date into a stressful ordeal. We ended up rushing out, with no resolution after over an hour dealing with their customer service (who had no idea what was going on because the problem was at the store level). Before we left, the manager offered to have us pay cash for the sofa or maybe the deposit until everything was resolved. He also mentioned that he would call their corporate office to see what the problem is. Like really! Why didn’t you guys call them an hour ago? Why did you make your problem, my problem to solve? I was frustrated. We left and rushed home to our baby. Once in the car, I decided to purchase the sofa online using my archarge which was available to use online immediately. This took less than 5 minutes. A few minutes after I placed the order, the Annapolis store called my husband and said they called their corporate office and had the office correct the mixup. Too little too late! If it only took them 10-15 minutes to resolve their problem, then why would they put me through that cc call ordeal. Why didn’t they just handle from the beginning? I will never understand.Anyway, now I’m writing this from my beautiful Cobourn six piece sectional that I had to order online because of poor service in store. The sofa arrived within a week.
Furniture is great as expected, but giving 5 stars because sales staff was excellent. Denny and Daniel were a joy to work with...very helpful and patient with me.
This review is about the quality of the furniture. The people who work at the store are great. The quality of this furniture is not always what you pay for. My chairs were described as leather, but the first layer began to chip and peel away after about 5 years. They look so bad I cant give them away. Their concierge customer service was not helpful. Other furniture I bought there was fine but I wouldnt go back knowing they dont stand behind their product. To be fair I didnt contact them until the chairs were older but they said they dont warranty fabric or leather. Case closed. I only hoped for a discount on new chairs but got nothing.
Love furniture and experience! We worked with Vera on two separate occasions, she is AWESOME, highly recommend working with her! She helped us find an amazing American made sofa set for our living room and a beautiful Italian made dining set.The living room furniture has been in our home for two years now and we love it even more with every passing day! The double chair has a sleeper with an air topper and we use it every time someone stays over. It is so simple and quick to pull out and put away. But the best part is the quality, comfort and warranties! And even though its a bit of a hike for us, we will definitely make another trip to Annapolis location to see Vera!
Friendly staff nice selection
Exceptional customer service! The people who work here have trained eyes, and will give you great advice to fit all budgets, They will push you to try something new (for you) and supply any information you need about the products they offer. One of the reasons I love Arhaus in general is that they stand behind their products. The people who work here will give you great design advice as well.
Great furniture. Unique pieces. Well made. Not a discount store! Worth the prices if you want your home to look good & inviting.
Visited the Arhaus store in Annapolis. The store has a great selection, and the sales staff was very helpful. Lots of different styles, very knowledgeable staff! The salesperson named Maleigh had a great eye for design and helped me pick out some wonderful pieces of furniture!
I love the look of the furniture in this store. But the quality and functionality does not match the price. I have two sofas, and a kitchen dining set from there. The sofas are down, and shed feathers to the point where it look like a duck fight occurred anytime we sit on them. The kitchen table is fine, but the chairs (which I was told were leather at the time of purchase) are poorly made. I paid $400 per chair and the leather peels terribly. They admitted they are pleather when I approached them, and they actually replaced them once for me, but the new ones started peeling as well.EDITED TO ADD: Ive emailed customer service, and am awaiting a response. Ill update with the resolution.UPDATE: almost two weeks and two emails later, no response to the email I was asked to send to customer service. Another reason not to buy from them.
We bought our couch a year ago and it still looks brand new. It is comfortable, stylish and very well made. The service was amazing and we will definitely be purchasing from them again.
Friendly staff and great customer service
My salesperson Kristy is exceptional. I ONLY work with her. A real professional 😊However the ability to contact the store with an issue smh. As basic as it may sound you cant get anyone in the store
Worst delivery and customer service. First, I was never updated or contacted by the store to give me a delivery date. I called finally and was told that I need to pay the rest of the balance, which I did but why would the store not have called or keep me apprised of the scheduled shipping date? Next, the order was scheduled for a two hour window but the did not arrive. I called the delivery company and was told the driving was running late by over an hour but no one notified me. Since it was almost 6 p.m. I asked they delivery the next day but the trucks were all full. Finally, I called the store and asked for help. While I was waiting for a call back from the store, the driver called and said he was 10 minutes away - great! . 30 minutes later, no driver??? I called the store again and they had cancelled the delivery??? Do not expect ordering or delivery to be easy.
I have always had an awesome service, amazing furniture and the salespeople are super knowledgeable.
Nice quality construction furniture but the wood is mostly painted & made of paint grade materials. It is expensive for what it is, but not for the Annapolis market. Bought 2 cabinets on sale and still spent $4000.00
First time experience, sales consultant was brand new however, very knowledgable, and very pleasant! It wasnt about the sale . Thanks for your patience Ms White
After visiting 6 other furniture stores from Glen Burnie to Annapolis, this store was the only store where we were greeted by a friendly sales associate who was not pushy or over the top. They have great furniture with what seems to be endless options for modifying and customizing.
Awesome, knowledgeable and friendly sales associates! Will definitely go back there soon!
We moved into our new home in February only two weeks after our honeymoon. Immediately realizing we had a living room with no living room furniture, we went in search for the prefect pieces. I had bought two metal cabinets from Arhaus years ago. It was a great experience so we went back to look for what we hoped would fill our living room needs. Our store experience was fantastic. They were helpful, informative, and made it seem really easy. After finding out that custom upholstery had a lead time of two months at the least. We told them we didnt want an empty living room for that long so they showed us a couch set that they claimed was already in the warehouse. We placed an order, paying in full, in the store requesting items were shipped as they were ready-- we needed this ASAP. We were assured that we were a priority and someone would be pulling strings and updating us as they got information. Hearing nothing after two weeks, we called to ask about the order. They were under the impression we wanted to wait for both pieces to be ready before they shipped them, we reminded them we prefer to get this quickly so we will take what they have when they have it. Again, we were assured that we were a priority and things were being expedited.Arhaus was masterful in its ability to keep our money and our attention over three months without fully delivering. We were expected to trust the people we paid for goods would provide them. We believed that, for the price we paid, that we would receive a high level of customer service. After calling multiple times, speaking with the sales rep (who coincidentally left Arhaus during this time) and the sales manager we finally got one of the two pieces. There were snow delays and back log delays and every reason for a delay imaginable. I believe some or all of these could have been true but I definitely believe that more could have been done. After a series of pointed emails and asking for refunds, in April we were given a ship date for the couch of 4/22. I whole heartedly believe that if we would not have aggressively advocated for ourselves, putting pressure on the store and eventually store manager, that we would have waited until June or July for what we paid for in February. To top it all off, the couch was not in our home until 5/7. The delivery window they told us was 11:30 to 1:30 and the couch did not arrive until 4:30pm. We were not told about the change of the ship time until 2:30pm.I was a huge fan of this store and now a bridge has been burned. I will never recommend this company to anyone ever again and will actively deter people from buying anything from them. The shame is that is has nothing to do with the quality of the pieces and there were many other things we needed to buy for the room that I will, now, have to find elsewhere.
Attractive furniture, good service, prices kind of high.
Arhaus sells quality furniture but the customer service is suboptimal. The sales representative that we worked with was Charlee. I would stay clear of her! She is not knowledgable about the pieces in the store and is not reliable to speak to for any follow up questions you may have. We consistently received poor customer service when calling to check on the status of our furniture. Every representative told us something COMPLETELY different. In regards to delivery, please expect the worst experience youll ever encounter! The delivery company barely speaks English and NEVER arrives within in the delivery window. In our experience they arrived 6 hours later and damaged our walls of our new home. When we did receive our couch we were not satisfied with the style, design, and the level of bulkiness.--> and of course the couches are nonrefundable.Save your money and go to Crate and Barrel!!
Ive shopped at this store before, but today the mood was very depressing. Plus they didnt sem to be the same welcoming, happy place. Ill give them another try but left there very disappointed.
Poorly made but very expensive furniture. Not someplace I would go to to buy furniture, but great for ideas, then shop Wayfair for a nice less expensive product.
Very nice furniture and staff
First time we ordered a sofa it took 13 weeks instead of 8-10 which is what the store said. We ordered the matching chair at the end of December. Three weeks later Arhaus calls to say that the fabric is out of stock and wont be available until May, which means the chair wont be ready until the summer. But since we have to wait so long they will give us another 5% off. When we asked if the order could be canceled they said no unless we were willing to accept a 50% refund. We said the chair isnt being built so why cant the order be canceled. Sorry, thats their policy. This is the last item we will ever order from Arhaus. Terrible delivery time and horrible csustomer service.
We had an amazing experience with Dan and Rebecca working to furnish our home. We needed to furnish our entire house, with a move across country, with less than 2 weeks until move-in day. Dan and Rebecca worked tirelessly (more than 3 hours after closing on a Sunday!) to help us find pieces we love in stock. With Dan focused on the design and Rebecca focused on the inventory and finish options, we felt like we were receiving customized customer service. We havent had such a customer-centered experience in a loooonnnnnng time. Arhaus Annapolis made a big furnishing project look easy - thoughtful and thorough but fun at the same time. We couldnt have asked for a better first-home furnishing experience. Thank you, Arhaus Annapolis!
Beautiful store, but extremely overpriced.
