11 years ago, Steve and M Yacht Services fabricated a custom solar panel arch and cockpit rail for our sailboat, and weve been delighted with the quality and durability of their product. Always remembered them, so when it came time to step our mast and tune the rigging after the boat was trucked to Annapolis earlier this month, they were the folks we called -- and so glad we did! Communication was excellent, as was attention to detail ... which matters when youre counting on the work, alone in the middle of the ocean. We cant say enough about M Yacht Services, Steve and their team. Our Yacht was damaged by the Hurricane in August. Once we engaged with them, the next day they were on site clearing the mast and head sail from the marina. Although our boat was a total loss, we highly recommend using this team for your service needs.

To us, the key components to a solid marine contractor are professionalism, communication, and meeting expectations. These elements were met and exceeded for our boat project by M Yachts. Steve Madden was our primary contact point, along with Marc, who handled all the mechanical aspects of the project. Anna had responsibility as project lead for all the rigging and together with her team, the implementation was achieved in a methodical, consistent, professional manner.We currently own a 2014 Hylas 56 which was rigged with a Park Avenue Boom that didn’t live up to expectations. When our sails needed to be replaced, we decided the time was right to change out the boom as well. After we researched our options, we decided upon in-boom furling. From our viewpoint and our budget, the logical choice was Leisure Furl. We contacted four highly recommended riggers to complete the work and chose M Yachts in Annapolis.The M Yachts team delivered the entire project on budget and on time! The work included the Leisure Furl boom, install of a new Andersen electric winch, painting the mast, new sails, forestay work, installing new batteries, some work on our propane system, as well as a bit of gel coat repair.We are very happy with the outcome. Our girl looks and feels like a new yacht! And she looked pretty top notch to begin with, so this is really saying something! The final invoice was spot on against the estimates and the boat was delivered to us on time. We would have no hesitation working with M Yachts again, as other projects “present” themselves. As a friend of ours says, “Things break when you are sleeping!”.As a side note, my wife and I have been sailing together for over twenty years. We’ve done some racing in Miami, the FL Keys, the Bahamas, and New England. We’ve cruised the entire eastern US seaboard and for the past five+ years (once we retired), we’ve been doing blue water sailing from New England to the Caribbean. We’ve had experience in many yards over this geography and would place M Yachts at the top of the list for professionalism, integrity, and a “get it done” attitude. Great people! We broke a rubber ball joint to the tiller. After being towed to a morning ball at Annapolis inner harbor, I then proceeded to go to 7 places on a Saturday for a temporary weld repair (the replacement part was 2 weeks away)! No one would help! We waited till Monday, stopped by M yachts office, and they completed the repair by noon. I reinstalled the part and we were on our way!

Marc Mayo (partner of M Yacht Services) is a very knowledgeable and detail oriented person for all of your boat related issues. He diagnosed an issue with a stiff steering system on our 49 ft sail boat in few hours where other boat yard couldnt diagnose in 3 months, AND he also diagnosed an issue (incorrect installation of rudder post gland packing bolts that were literally shaving the rudder quadrant) were caused by the same company which could have fatal consequences if it wasnt discovered. With his help, steering issues were resolved very quickly. Thank you Marc, and M Yachts !

My wife and I were desperate to find the leak on our Beneteau 46 that caused the fresh water pump to come on every 20 seconds. We had been to a yard that replaced faucets and clamps but could not locate the source of the problem. Marc was gracious enough to set aside his very demanding schedule of managing his team of technicians to personally come to our boat and within 30 minutes was able to locate the source. He and Logan arrived the next day and routed a new hose through the cabin to provide leak -free water to our vessel. The next day we were at a loss to determine why water was not running through our generator. We appealed to our hero and he responded to our call for help. Not only did he locate the problem but we learned quite a bit about diagnosing and repairing boat problems. It is often said that a great organization requires great leadership. Marc Mayo is that leader.

Sorry to say, very professional expertise but to a fault. Will try to complete work to megayacht standards ignoring time and expense needs. Communication comes late if ever. Wont cross the street to do dockside work. More concerned with theirschedule than finishing projects.

My small sailboat was involved in a collision and suffered some damage. M Yacht Services did a fantastic job of repairing the damage, and did it quickly and at a reasonable cost. Their communication was excellent, and the whole operation is extremely professional. Bravo!!

Had MYachts conduct a rigging inspection. The technician suggested a date for extensive work to be done then he went silent. No responses. I find this behavior both incompetent and dishonest.
