I was recommended to GTM auto for a big repair of new head gasket. The car was returned sooner than they originally told me. On the way home the car stopped working and I had it towed back to GTM and they replaced the alternator free of charge. The car has been working well ever since. I recommend them as I found them to be honest and have integrity in their work and dealing with customers.

Gtm Auto is great. Got my car all fixed up and back on the road and for a fair price. Its a smaller shop so you gotta be patient before he can get to your car. But the wait is worth it. Definitely going back to them in the future.

Good mechanic work and very affordable.I got both front struts, both rear shocks, and both control arms replaced.Price out the door was 1055.While Belletire tried to charge me 1600 for the control arms alone.

I found GTM searching for a shop to service my Audi Q5 that has a few years and miles on it.I was looking for experience with German autos and I’m not impressed by frills, I want facts.The GTM reviews I found were great and supported this.I live in the Lansing area and have had mediocre to downright upsetting experiences with the dealership here.Most recently I was having some AC issues and loud brakes, both demanding large, time consuming and incredibly expensive repairs. I just wasn’t settled with the way it was being handled.I called GTM and told Edgar about my issues and we agreed on a day and time to take my car in.Initially, I was impressed that I was able to speak to him directly, opposed to the service representative that is not actually hands on.I don’t want third hand info.I want to talk to the guy who is doing the work.Took my car in, we came up with some solutions, I got a very affordable quote with a reasonable turnaround time and I was back about 10 days later for the work.My car issues were solved and I am totally pleased!I returned the week after that for an oil change and a look over before a long road trip and again, I am a happy customer :)I have already recommended GTM to another Audi friend of mine who had issues with the same dealership I had issues with.The drive for me is an hour each way and I have to make busy while my car is being serviced, but I have and will return to GTM from now on. It’s worth my time. This week my 2006 Toyota wouldn’t start. AAA said they would replace the battery, but it probably needed a further repair. My husband waited on a tow truck and paid extra to have it taken to our usual repair shop, GTM auto repair. It only needed a starter. GTM didn’t try to sell us an unneeded battery. Plus when my husband realized later that he couldn’t find $100 he thought he had, he called the shop. Edgar investigated and called us back to say we had overpaid and refunded our money. We’ve used this shop for years, they’ve kept our high mileage cars going at minimum cost, and are always honest and quick. We highly recommend them.

This was a few years ago but I feel like sharing. I was struggling with an older Jeep mystery issue and had taken it to a few different shops, all costing me $50-$100+ just to take a look at it with various answers on what could be done to fix. I took it to GTM on a recommendation and they gave it to me straight. They told me the issues. They told me the cost. They said it wasn’t worth fixing because there were more issues than non-issues. They told me my best bet was to drive it till it died, and they didn’t charge me a dime for the time it took them to look. They didn’t lie and say they could fix it. Brutally honest, but very needed and appreciated. Friendly folks. Drove that Jeep for bout 3 more weeks.

People dont provide service like Edgar does these days. I came to him with a mid-day car trouble that could have been worse than it was. Often, it takes days or a week to even get someone to look at your car- but Edgar and his guys inspected it within 5 minutes of arriving and swiftly let me know what I was up against. I was referred to GTM Auto Repair a couple of years ago and have never regretted going there. Edger is quick to respond to you. He also follows through on warranty of parts. He replaced a sensor on my PT Cruiser and it ended up failing within a couple of months. He replaced it immediately with no charge.I am also impressed with how quickly he is able to get my car fixed. Great service! Break light came on my Prius and they could have told me anything and charged me a lot of money. Instead, they figured out the problem and charged me 50$ TOTAL. Car drives great now. Also got struts that I needed badly. He broke down the cost ahead of time and it was less than other places in town.

Extremely prompt, efficient, and friendly! They fixed a broken window regulator and faulty wiring, gave my car an oil change, secured the front bumper (which was falling off after making high speed contact with a raccoon) and replaced the right blinker in just a few hours. Oh man where do I start...This is bad. I brought my Toyota Sequoia SUV in to GTM bc of a strange clanking and rattling sound. Just by hearing the sound the manager/owner told me my engine was blown, but just to be sure - he would take off the oil pan and check for metal shavings. Hes a likeable guy and seems knowledgeable so its easy to believe what hes telling you. I leave the SUV with him. I walk a couple doors down to get some food and before my food is even ready, he calls me and says hes done with the oil pan check. I walk back (only 20 minutes after I left the SUV), and he tells me that he took the front end of the vehicle off and checked the oil pan and sure enough its full of metal shavings. His words after this were 100%, its blown, your engine is done. He then told hed found a replacement same V8 engine for me with low miles and jt would only be $2,000 (which is actually cheap if thats the real issue). He has me 99% convinced, but something tells me to get a second opinion anyways. I bring the SUV to a shop that only does diagnostic checks, so they have nothing to gain from lying to me. This shop tells me that GTM has lied to me and that the real issue causing the strange noises is only a $100 fan housing bracket. He also tells me theres NO way the oil pan could have been taken and replaced in such a short period of time. I brought it to another place to have the bracket replaced. Ive waited to leave a review that way I could be certain there wasnt another issue and maybe GTM wasnt 100% wrong. Now its now been over one month and the vehicle is still as perfect as ever, no strange sounds, no engine issues. Smooth as butter.
