Fantastic experience, and very efficient. They even deal with and coordinate insurance and rentals as much as possible. Initial estimate was very efficient using the online tool, I did not have to go into the shop at all. Follow-up and questions were answered quickly, and the estimate was updated as needed. Once insurance was ready, and the car was dropped off, they updated the estimate for some additional damage that was found. The additional components took extra time which was not anticipated, and caused them to miss their delivery estimate, which I was not notified of until calling them, 30 minutes prior to what was supposed to be our pickup time. These issues are pretty expected, but a quicker update would have been nice so we could adjust plans. In the end, the staff and shop were great, the repairs look to be performed very well with great attention to detail, and the car was returned clean. We will not hesitate to use them for any future work.
My vehicle was in an accident and I had it towed there. Gerber web site said the provide rental or courtesy cars. When this was mentioned to them about getting a courtesy car. They said they would check with corporate but they didnt this so. This is false advertising. They have since removed from site. I still have a snapshot of it. I had my vehicle towed to a different shop. I now have a courtesy car. Watch you if you cant trust them with their web site, how can you trust them with your vehicle.
Gerber provided an accurate estimate, completed work perfectly and gave updates throughout the process. They collaborated with a local Enterprise office to make sure we had transportation while thr work was being completed, also a fantastic experience. Overall, great communication and car exterior looks like new. We will definitely use them in the future for all collision work.
I had a minor fender bender and one of Gerbers estimators/technicians, Michael, helped me out today. The service was quick, professional, and reasonably priced - would definitely recommend using them again. 👍
I was referred to this location. The staff was friendly and professional. Corey was very kind. He put my mind at ease by doing an awesome job on my paint/repairs. One of the services that I paid for was overlooked, but he was so gracious enough go the extra route to repair my light and one other issue that had arose after my initial repairs were done. My car has been in this shop for over 2 weeks and they still havent texted working on it. Was told they were going to take it to another location to get the work done sooner, but took it to another location that was twice as backed up as the Washtenaw location. Blamed my insurance for the hold up, but was told by the receptionist that she didnt want to wait on hold to speak with my insurance agent. When I called to see what in the world was going on, the estimator said I was being angry and taking it out on them when it was my insurance companys fault. When I call to speak to someone, they are always busy and never give me a call back. I have had to call the industrial location almost every day and they are not able to provide me with information or help.

Well I wasnt going to do this but here we are. After getting into an accident, gerber quoted me 12 days to have my car back to me. 31 days and many excuses, I finally got it back. I had accepted this until Id finally had enough. After getting an oil change elsewhere, the mechanic said it had sat for so long that a mouse had got under the hood and chewed up my battery cover. When my car was acting up, i called gerber to say it still wasnt fixed completely and they said theyd call me back with a time I could bring it back in, yet they still havent. I have a 2019 nissan with 60xxx miles. I shouldnt be having the issues I am. They got the job done (for the most part) but i do NOT recommend taking your car here.

Horrible customer service. Simply finding out how much would it cost to fix a bumper requires more planning and effort than a colonoscopy. They ignored me when I pulled in at 3:55, then wait till after 4:00pm to tell me they don’t do estimates after 4:00pm. Not worthy of my business.
Cassandra from the front desk really saved my perception of this place and made the visit worth while! Other than that the service was lacking. I came to get my Model 3 front end repainted and wheel curb rash fixed. The wheels look amazing! But the tires were 35psi when they should have been 42psi and its winter... And i noticed the sensor they replaced still doesnt look OEM it looks repaired so not perfect at all... But i do understand that they fought with the insurance company to make me whole again so that does count for something. Thank you Gerber.

Directed the repair, process was professional in every respect, kept me informed and when there were decision to be made was a balanced advocate suggesting repair when it seemed appropriate vs buying new parts, as an example.. She is intelligent snd gracious and was a fine communicator.. In conclusion, should i ever need to have any of my cars repaired i would ask to be able to work with her! Excellent service! Our Town & Country was pretty dented after a backup accident and was deemed as a total loss from our insurance. While debating our options, we contacted Gerber for an estimate and Kevin was quick to give us one. He found a replacement door within hours without any confirmation that Gerber was going to repair the car. We chose to repair the car. As soon as the car reached Gerber, Kevin quickly gave us an actual estimate. Originally, we were supposed to get our car back on July 17th but the technicians were able to finish it on the 9th! When we went to get our car, we found that the sliding door wasn’t latching properly and Corey stayed after hours to ask a technician about the problem. They made sure we were satisfied with the repairs of the car. Corey answered every question we had. Jerry and Marilyn were also very helpful with all the paperwork and updates. They also assisted us with returning our loaner car from Enterprise! Overall, amazing service and helpful people. Thank you!

This shop is wonderful! We brought our SUV to them after I was in an accident in October. They made the process very easy from start to finish. We had our vehicle back within 1 week and it looked perfect. 2 months later, I’m back in because my tire is losing air and I’m afraid it’s related to the accident. They get me in same day and pull out a little nail. How silly I feel! But I don’t trust anyone else! They are amazing and you should absolutely go here :) thank you so much Gerber :)
Absolute horrible experience. Went here to have my hood replaced on my Chevrolet Impala that was damaged in a collision. After my initial appointment I felt confident that my car would be fixed properly boy was I wrong. After the job was complete I came to pick it up after work one night and immediately noticed that the hood was about 2 inches off and away from the car very surprised that this was over looked. Came the next day to discuss my concerns I was told well it just needs some adjusting after about an hour my car is ready again this time the hood is still off center and about an inch from my car at this point I was told that basically it was the best they could do. $1400 dollars are you kidding me! The next day I go to replace my windshield wiper fluid and guess what my hood latch doesnt work, mind you it worked perfectly after the collision. 3rd trip Im told well you will need a new hood latch and the reason your hood doesnt fit right is because I caused significant structural damage to my car. I called BS so I took it to Champion Chevrolet in Howell who does amazing body work by the way I just dont live in the area anymore. They told me that the hood was aftermarket and the wrong size and there was no structural damage to my car not to mention said the hood replacement shouldnt have run more than $900 out the door. I called Dustys back and had a 4th appointment only to be told it was my fault because I wanted to save money which again was BS so I asked if tested the parts they used before they put them on the cars and they said NO. Offered no remedy to my situation. Told Id be contacted by management and never was. This place is trash stay away!!!!!
They did a great job on the body work I needed. Thats where my good experiences with this place ends. The guy I dealt with through the process seemed like he could not be less happy to be doing his job. When I dropped of my car I accidentally forgot my house keys in the car. It took them 17 minutes to bring me my keys while my 1 1/2 year old soon screamed for a nap. Any parents of a toddler out there know this is a special kind of hell. It made those 17 minutes feel like more than an hour. They told me it would take 6 days, but in fact it ended up taking 7. Lastly, when I got the car back my dirty hubcap was still off my car and sitting in my backseat. Theres not much work put into customer service here. Although, the two women who work the front desk are incredibly helpful and friendly. Thats where the good customer service begins and I ends.
Just picked up my car from Dustys and Im so happy! I was rear-ended a couple of weeks ago and my insurance company works with Dustys so thats where my car went. From the second my car arrived at the shop everyone was so helpful. They kept me updated consistently with repairs, changes, and my pick up date. In addition they offered friendly advice on insurance claims and were very patient with all of my questions and concerns! Ive never experienced any kind of car accident, and couldnt be happier with the repair work done and the ease of everything. In addition, they called me back with answers to my questions even though they were about to close; and they stayed late today because I arrived late after turning in my rental car! Its nice to work with such kind people who understand how scary and complicated car issues can be. My car is shiny and clean (inside as well which is amazing!) and it looks just like it did when I first purchased it. Thanks for being so amazing, and a special thanks to Corey for everything!

Told me I’d receive the same exact quality bumper (oem) for my truck. Received an aftermarket one paper thin and 1/10th the weight of my original bumper. Ran the paint on the edges. Other shops would have painted and assembled the parts for the same price I paid to pick up a painted bumper and install myself. When I told the manager that, he had the audacity to ask why I didn’t go somewhere else. Maybe because I trusted you with my business and time. Won’t be making that mistake again. Trust the latest reviews and avoid this place at all costs
Someone backed into my car parked in my apartments covered parking lot! The person didnt even leave a note of apology (a behavior that cant be condoned) and it left a 5 in diameter dent in the right corner of the rear bumper of my car. My insurance agent recommended a preferred body shop and I visited there for an estimate of the repairs. My friend recommended that I visit Dustys too for an estimate of the repairs and Im lucky that I did.The estimator at Dustys was very forthcoming and helpful. He brought a body-shop engineer (a Mr.Dusty?) along to help assess the extent of the damage accurately. We found out it didnt look significant enough to replace the whole bumper so Dustys offered to heat the plastic a bit and try to push it back out for me to see if that looks decent enough. They said theyd write me an estimate for further repairs ONLY if this simple process didnt work out for me (which was MUCH MORE than what the other body shop I took it to offered to do - that place wrote me a $150 estimate to do exactly what Dustys did for me for free). Pushing out the dent in the plastic bumper worked reasonably well for me, though some very minor blemishes remained but that was my choice as I didnt want to spend a $500 to replace the entire bumper to fix a very small dent.Overall I think the folks at Dustys are forthcoming, humane and not out there to get you to pay for every simple repair (unless absolutely essential). Makes me appreciate that theres still some good left in the world!
I have had a good experience with Dustys. The appraisal was quick and informative. Dutys worked with me to schedule the repair days (all 5 of them). They arranged for a rental car at a reasonable rate (m insurance did not have a rental car provision). The work was completed on time and so far it appears to have been done in a highly professional manner. Only time will tell if the tailgate on the Equinox lasts longer than does the rest of the car. I want to make a further compliment with regard to the front office staff. Lisa was always helpful, a pleasure to speak to on the phone, ready with update information, and always willing to search out any questions that I had.
Wonderful experience! The mechanician was very professional, his inspection was quite accurate and detailed. He checked my car carefully and found the smallest dents on the chassis. There was a huge dent on my front door and the door needed to be replaced. I told him that I was moving, so he expedited the front door shipment and the repairs. I got updates from the Dustys every morning. I sent my car to them on Monday and got it back on Friday. The car looked like a new one when I got it back. Im satisfied with their service. Absolutely 5 stars.

I didnt have an appointment, but they made room for me anyway, and everyone was so nice. Brought my car in for an estimate to have some scratches and dings removed along the doors and trunk. I had a good conversation about my options with the tech and was given an estimate almost immediately. The estimate was high and it mostly centered around dismantling the doors and prep works. I accepted the estimate and few days later dropped the car off. Two weeks later, it was ready. My initial impression was that they did a great job. However, that quickly changed as one by one my doors stopped working. First, the passenger front and then the rear. It was very frustrating. I took my car to the dealership and described the situation. They looked at the doors and discovered that when the doors were reassembled (by Dusty’s) they did not put them together properly causing them to stop working. Repairs to each door to replace the missing parts was expensive. Thanks Dusty’s!
This will be my first and last time ever coming here for service. My car was in an accident and Dusty’s was assigned to do the repairs. Upon receiving my car back, I noticed several things wrong with the repairs. It was definitely a rush job. For example, my entire bumper was set to be replaced. I can literally see gaps where my bumper is attached to my car, and can press against the bumper to close these gaps. I am BEYOND dissatisfied with the work that was done to my vehicle. My expectations are that if something is scheduled to be fully replaced, it should look “as new” or at least decent condition. I brought some other things to the managers attention and he brushed my concerns off, making me feel like because they already had my money and returned my car their job was done. Every single time I called the shop, the receptionist would hang up on me after putting me on hold for a manager. This happened on several different phone calls. I had higher expectations from this company than what I received. I live in another state and have been stuck in Michigan almost a month from the time the repairs started to now. Do not go here, find a shop that does sufficient work and demonstrates better customer service.

They will give you a great turnaround date that they will later on extend to more then double, left my car for repair there and ended up pulling it out because they were going to take too long to repair found my car In worst shape from before it was taken there, scratches everywhere, glass window glue on my interiror and back seat. Highly recommend to avoid taking anything there. Over all -5 stars.
I had damage to a 2016 Range Rover. Dusty’s gave a very fair quote, had excellent customer service, helped arrange a car rental and transportation to the rental location, and did excellent work on the body repairs. They even detailed the car afterwards. It was an impressive experience from start to finish.

I had them repair my Volvo V40 after a deer ran into the side of it...both passenger doors had to be repaired & Dusty also gave me a good price to do a small repair on the back tailgate at the same time. He went out of his way to help me get my much-loved 2002 Volvo back in beautiful shape! The work done on it was top-rate!!! Everyone was very professional & did a super job. I definitely would have them work on any auto I own.

Poor experience overall. Tesla owners beware.I honestly dont know where to begin. In short, the shop exhibited poor communication, a minor lack of competence, and a total lack of empathy or awareness. I would find a different one.The important bits...They did fix my damage. They didnt plug my tail light back in after they disconnected it during repairs. They also didnt notice that during their quality assurance test.They didnt order parts for 10 days. They did blame the manufacturer for this problem. Other shops havent had the same issues.They didnt finish the car by the first estimated completion date. Or the second, or third. They did tell me they were very confident in their timeline for the second and third dates. The manager also blamed the fact that so many people were coming to their shop for body work for the delays. Apparently theyd rather anger existing customers than turn away potential ones.The front desk staff were excellent.The details...Overall, they exhibit very poor communication. They never told me that completion dates were delayed until I was calling on the day theyd told me I could expect the car, to check that I could still pick it up that day. Only then was I ever told about any delays.They didnt order parts for 10 days. I only found out when I emailed Tesla myself to ask about the status, and Tesla told me they didnt have any parts orders for my car. When I confronted Gerber about it, they blamed Teslas ordering system. Later I called around to other shops in Michigan with Tesla certifications. They said Teslas ordering system was the easiest they ever used. Sometimes parts would arrive damaged, but ordering them was never an issue. I could see that maybe someone just didnt click submit on the order or whatever, but I feel like after 10 days someone would have, yknow, checked for an order number? Instead they waited until I asked for one. They never apologized for this.Multiple times my completion date was pushed back, even when they were very confident. First it was by a week, Dec 2nd to Dec 9th, then a day, Dec 10th, then they promised it would be done by noon the next day. I had to call myself at 245pm on the 11th to ask if I could still expect my car to be done that day. They never apologized for this, either.When I finally did get my vehicle, the repairs did seem to be of good quality. Its only been a few days. Knock on wood that nothing falls off, which I would honestly expect at this point. I made it all the way home before I realized my right tail light assembly was disconnected. Somehow Gerber had missed it during their quality assurance walkaround, which was part of what pushed their completion time back from guaranteed at noon to 245pm.Overall, dont trust them. Dont trust their timelines, dont trust that theyve actually ordered parts, dont trust that theyve double checked that they plugged in all the things they unplugged while doing the repairs, dont trust their excuses for why there are delays. Maybe dont trust them with your car at all. I certainly wont in the future.Their one redeeming quality is that the front desk staff are phenomenal. they wrangled getting me to Enterprise, connected me with people in the shop when I called for updates, did their best to get me information when the people I was trying to reach were unavailable. Their helpfulness and Tesla bodyshop support are the only reasons I made it through this process with my sanity.Im saddened most by the fact that the estimator I originally spoke to seemed really excited to have just gotten their Tesla certification. Having more shops carry that is seriously valuable to Tesla owners, and I took it as a mark of quality during my initial interactions with Gerber. Instead, I find myself warning anyone I can to stay as far away from this location as possible.

Having your car in an accident can be a very disorienting and upsetting experience. One pictures hassles with the police, insurance companies and body shop disappointments.So when I arrived at your facility on Industrial, I was not in the best of moods. Then I met Linda and Corey. They took charge of everything and in a friendly and caring way started the process of getting my van repaired and back on the road.Corey came and looked over the damage and described what needed to be done. By this time Linda had contacted the insurance company and arranged for a rental car. They ordered the parts and when they arrived we dropped off the van and took off in our great rental car.After a week or so we picked up our van and to my surprise it was like picking up a new vehicle at the dealer.The point of all this is to say THANK YOU so much for turning this very upsetting accident into a really positive experience.Sincerely, Clete and Kathy Bjornstad
No good deed goes unpunished. Was letting my nephew get some permit practice driving my car to prepare for his field test. He managed to back out of the driveway and straight into a parked car on the other side of the street.Took my busted back fender and broken tail light to Dustys. Had THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER in auto repair!! From top to bottom everything ran smoothely and they did exactly what they said theyd do when they said theyd do it. Now have my poor baby fully restored and looking great. Didnt realize that for good measure they also detailed the car inside and out!While I hope to not need their services for awhile (it will have to be someone other than my nephew!), if I do I will go straight back there. Highly recommend them!!
Outstanding service
Bodywork is ok. Dusty’s works for and with the insurance company not the person like advertised. I was rear ended and my insurance recommended Dusty’s Collision. I had them do the estimate and they completely missed the fact my engine was now making noise after I told Dusty’s and insurance there was no sound in the engine prior to me getting hit. I had to have them recheck and it turns out a motor mount broke from the force of the impact. In the end I had to pay out of pocket for the repair because the insurance company deemed it as common wear and tear. Ultimately I believe a good body shop should help get insurance to pay for items damaged in the accident.
Lied to me about how long it would take, made me late to work. I was told I could pick up my 2007 Porsche Cayman on Friday if I dropped it off on Tuesday. There was some minor bumper damage. They still didnt have the work done by the next Wednesday, so I demanded they give me my car back. They said I could pick it up on Wednesday at 8am. Im still sitting in the shop now at 8:25 am, late for work. They left the door open and killed my battery too. Totally incompetent working with my Porsche. Terrible at getting things done in a reasonable time. Never coming back again.
I had a scratch that covered my entire door and came in for a quote expecting to pay hundreds. Turns out it was just paint transfer. They cleaned it up for free and I was out in 20 mins. Thanks for the integrity and awesome service. Ill be back the next time I need body work.
I am impressed with the fast and friendly service of the Dustys team! Especially their phone service. I worked with Craig, I felt he was approachable and gave a fair estimate. I was not impressed with their rental partner Hertz. Rather than having Hertz let me rent the car at the Dustys location, I was driven via Hertz pick up car to the Hertz location on Washtenaw - which is not even the nearest Hertz location. Upon arrival there was only one man working in the Hertz location. He was not well informed by my rental information. Between switching locations and some hiccups at the rental office, I spent over 40 minutes getting the rental car.
My drivers side lock pillar and striker plate rusted out. Dustys took a couple days to replace, weld, and paint it up making my car safe again. They went above and beyond washing up my old, neglected ride too. Theyre wonderful. No one else in town would touch my vehicle, but Dustys took it on, saving my car from being put out to pasture. They stuck to their estimate too, which is huge to someoen who payed out of pocket.

I took my car which had multiple deep scratches to be repaired so I can sell it. I was seen right away by Steve who was professional and fixed my problem. He also referred me to another shop for more detailed work. I would highly recommend Dustys for your car repair needs.
Great body shop, they work with all the major insurance providers and do a great job. I got in a small accident and need a new rear and front bumper, paint matched right on and work look great except one small area, because my insurance provider tried to save money and requested aftermarket parts, the eyelets to my fog laps did not fit properly, huge gaps, looked horrible, very small parts, just a save a few bucks, well guess my insurance provider is going to have to pay for the work twice, because they Dustys is taking the car back and doing it with OEM parts, for the front that is. The people here were very nice, professional, and make you feel welcomed, hope not to get in another accident but if I do, Ill bring my car here. They also offer a porter service to take you home a loaner cars, but you would need to scheduled your work ahead of time so you can reserve one.
I will never be taking any vehicle back to this or any other Dusty’s Collision. The first time they began working on my vehicle, they returned it to me unfinished 9 hours later because they ordered the wrong parts and some parts never arrived in time (which they never mentioned, or were unaware of, during the drop-off). Because of this, I was forced to drive around for 10 days with a damaged exhaust, an unfinished bumper and non matching trim on the grille.When I scheduled a second 8AM appointment for 9 days later, I was told that the remaining work was minor and “should be done in a few hours”. When that day arrived, the car was dropped off at 7:50 but the work wasn’t finished until 4:30. I was given no updates until I called at 2:30 to see what was taking so long. Keep in mind that it only took 1.5 hours to install the exhaust when I originally purchased it and the remaining cosmetic work was considered “very minor”.Bottom line: if you have access to multiple vehicles, maybe you‘ll be content with your Dusty’s experience. However, if you’re dependent on 1 car for transportation, you may want to search for some place that can be quicker with their work or more accurate with their estimated completion times.

Everyone was concerned about the hit-n-run that had taken place. Fortunately there was no personal injury but this was 2nd hit-n-run in less than a month. They provided a timeline when the damage was going to be taken care of and came in on target.
Took my 328xi there after some woman drove into my car as I was waiting at a stop sign. Had my headlight, bumper, and fender replaced. They did an awesome job with the paint job. They however did not code my headlight so they do not turn with the steering wheel, but I will just take it to BMW to code it.

Very rude and not helpful. I dont recommend this place to anyone.
I give Dustys a top rating because they treated me like they themselves would have wanted to be treated. Dustys acts like they remember what it is like to be on the receiving end as a customer. So many service providers are too busy to remember.

Bad workmanship, door not fitted, window off center, headliner out, stains on the seat. I took the van to Heritage Collision and got the repairs done correctly.
Dont go here !They didnt do a good job on my car.To me it seemed they are trying to reduce the cost of repair for the insurance company by not changing anything that can on my car.
