I wanted coffee this morning but from a local place, not a chain, so I was kind of in the area, googled for a breakfast place and found this joint, had to go out of my way a little bit but I felt it was worth the risk. Right away I loved the curb appeal, very clean, modern european feel, couple of tables outside during a mildly chill morning. People reading books, some talking catching up. Getting inside I had the same feel of cleanliness, everything thing so neatly put, counter and menu, very easy to read from. Unfortunately I had the embarrassing surprise when it was time to pay, they only accept cash... I didn’t had any, only credit card and apple pay. The lady was prompt to relieve me saying “you can come back later to pay” Well I wasn’t so sure about how I felt because I was only in the are by happenstance... Fortunately the person I was with had some cash at hand so, she paid for it. The point is, the staff is friendly and it seems very much ready for situations like this. I recommend trying this place and don’t forget cash.

WARNING.Asked for decaf coffee. I am caffeine sensitive. Barista gave me full caffeine coffee and I didnt know until i drank the whole thing and it started to kick in. I am currently sick and getting the worst shaking from caffeine I can ever remember. Do not go here, take your business elsewhere. Whoever was the barista here today 8/20/20 really messed up due to pure ignorance, or to cut corners and save money, I dont know. Im only slightly sensitive to caffeine. Extreme levels of caffeine can be life threatening to some people. Absolutely horrible.

What a cute cozy corner coffee shop, all you can ask for if you like going to the small businesses. Had an amazingly made vanilla chai tea and blueberry scone. Very affordable as they do cash only. Friendly and quick staff. Not sure if lines get long there during certain times but I went in the morning before 9am and no line. Highly recommend instead of going to the big chains.

This place is wonderful. Their treats are fantastic (try the glazed cruller), they have 3 different types of iced coffee that all are excellent (try the Kyoto, well worth the price) and their bagels are awesome! Thanks for helping make downtown Andover a fun place!

I was extremely disappointed to see that all four employees at this location were not wearing masks or gloves on May 3rd. Very poor management from what I can see during the pandemic. I have always loved Ultimate Perk, but this is the only place I have visited in town that has not had its employees wearing masks and gloves. It’s really an affront to customers.

The Ultimate Perk has the best coffee drinks and baked goods in town. It is obvious the owners take pride in their product and customer service. Their staff is always pleasant and professional. Small town Andover has a very large asset having The Ultimate Perk in their town!

Hey Theresa Sullivan, I believe the purpose of this is to write a review on the coffee shop not air out your dirty laundry for everyone to see you are how old and still causing this drama? I think MIT should take you back😂😂😂I was in last week and got a sandwich. It was made to order and tasted fantastic. The eat in area was trendy and inviting not to mention everything looked brand new as if it was sparkling clean. I will be back soon!

Every time I walk into Perk I am immediately greeted by friendly staff who even remember my order! The coffee is delicious and the baked goods are always fresh! Super clean and chill environment.

This is one of my favorite stops for Coffee in Andover. It is minutes from work; which makes it easy for a daily stop! I recommend any of their brewed in flavored ice-coffees, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries! Note: They only accept cash!

Ive stopped in a few times now. They really move people through very efficiently and with friendly personal service. Oh yeah, the coffee is great and cant wait to try more of the fresh pastries.

Admittedly I’m a Dunkin Donuts disciple. A good friend suggested Ultimate Perk and I was pleasantly surprised! I like DDs for the “quick fix”, but Ultimate Perk is now my “let’s meet for coffee”’place. Clean, friendly and great coffee!!

Be aware that there is a group of high school boys leaving 1 star reviews in retaliation for some ridiculous grievance one of their mothers has on a community facebook page. This is an example of social media and the internet at its very worst. Stop by, have a delicious coffee and a sandwich. Its a beautiful, friendly spot in a lovely town.

I love being able to support local small businesses and Ultimate Perk makes it so easy to do so! Although there is a Dunkin Donuts across the street and a Starbucks a few blocks down, I prefer Ultimate Perk.The coffee here is delicious. They offer hot, iced, New Orleans & Kyoto cold brews, espresso, tea, and hot chocolate. Muffins, doughnuts, and breakfast and lunch options are also available, however, I have never eaten them because I have a gluten sensitivity. I HAVE had a few of the fresh bananas and GoMacro nutrition bars they offer.There are a few tables for sitting and enjoying your food and drink inside, and in the warmer months, there are tables outside as well. They have just refreshed the paint and decor adding cotton wall hangings with book quotes and industrial lighting.I frequent Ultimate Perk most in the afternoon. The afternoon staff is attentive, accommodating, and very friendly. This shop is a great contribution to the Andover downtown community.

After working 9 hours on my feet without as much as a 15 min.break, the owner told me how he really liked me & felt bad but another employee named Rudy was constantly comaining about diff.co-workers. I was one of them. I was already well-aware she had an attitude problem. I was deff.over qualified for the position. I have a degree & have worked for MIT as well as @ Mass General. I had been sick with Lupus and took the job to get back working. It was local, so convenient. The owner Rich told me this Rudy made the sandwiches @ lunchtime. He said she told him if he didnt get rid of me, she was leaving. I think its highly unprofessional to run a business, allowing a trouble making employee make the decisions of who should work there. Obviously more going on with those 2, than employee & employee! Got a much higher paying job anyway, and would never step foot in that place again. Slave labor! No lunch breaks, no breaks at all! 9 hrs. on your feet for very little pay. Not recommended! You dont treat your employees that way. Actually, I believe its illegal to make people work full-time without a break or lunch hour! Worst place Ive ever worked. As a matter of fact this Rudy bragged how she partied all weekend @ biker week, getting 3 hrs sleep. Shes preparing the food!!!! Eat at your own risk!! Not the cleanest woman!

I arrived 4:30p and the store would close at 5p but there was nothing else to serve and it was a terrible customer service. Besides that they don’t accept cards, it’s cash only.

It saddens me to see a local business, and one that has been in town for years, get attacked by a group of people who are doing the exact act that they accuse this business owner of making. Facts have been distorted to suit the accusers without any evidence at all. Such are the times we live in. The owners of this business are known for their solid business practices and generosity, for example, to the town workers during times of trial (recent gas crisis), and storms (i.e. free coffee to plow guys). They support local sports and are always willing to help. I would suggest to the reviewer to look at reviews prior to this date to see the REAL feedback for the Perk. Older posts tell the story. Notice the current ones are a group of young High School boys trying to cause trouble. Please continue to support our local businesses.

I enjoyed a drink and something to eat and the staff were good. It was pretty hot in there and not the most comfortable to work, a little cramped.

The staff is the best part of this place.You can TELL from the moment you walk in that its a former Dunkin Donuts with little done to lose that stigma.The WI-FI sucks. Even the staff knows that...they suggest you use the salon WI-FI and give you that pass code, again COOL STAFF.No plugs for charging.Theres ONE midway up the order line on the wall.Two entry signs are passive aggressive;WI-FI for customers only. Reads worse, see attached picture.Dont accept credit or debit cards and goes on to explain the financial reasons; this reads OWNER IS CHEAP.The interior needs to be redone to be more relaxed, casual and local. Its as stale as DD Donuts.The seating is basic but not encouraging for long term stays.Corner location is its best, under utilized attribute.If it wasnt for the staff, Id have left.Sweet and cute as hell.Caffe Nero is diagonally across the street and is a better reflection of what a coffee place should be.

With a starbucks a few blocks down, and a DD right across the street, you might think this local coffee shop might be in trouble. Try their coffee once and youll wonder why you would ever drink the burnt mess in starbucks or the chemically flavored dunkin donuts again. The hazelnut is my personal favorite. The only drawback is that they are cash only, no plastic accepted. Normally this is a deal breaker with me because I never carry cash, but this coffee is well worth the trip to the ATM.

Food is good, pastries are fresh, and the place is very clean and inviting. The only down side is service is a little slow.
