We went for the deli and were not disappointed. I had a turkey sandwich and my girlfriend had chicken salad. Good service and patient staff. Soda machine was out of order for now though.

A breath of fresh air here at SAFEway. ...the local Wally World is mostly blue pick carts for customer drive up. That time is over!

Higher priced items. Carries different brands then most stores. Friendly staff. Love the flowers when I walk in!

Great store. Always kind, courteous customer service. If you shop the sales you can do really well. If you have your little ones with you make sure to drop by the floral section and get them a free latex balloon.

Love the girls in the floral department. They are in the middles of a mothers day mad rush. Making beautiful arrangements with personal touch for mothers day tomorrow. And still took the time to help my son put together a beautiful corsage and Bottineau for his first prom (at the last minute). Though its a fairly small store, they have a nice selection of products, clean floors, and nice staff working here. I like to come here early to get my shopping done when its quiet, and even at the wee hours of the morning, the staff is pleasant to deal with. They do a good job keeping carts rounded up, as lazy people love to fill up spaces with their carts.

I use to love Safeway. I still do. But I use to too.However, prices and selection are getting too high and too little, respectively. Other than that. Same place ita always been, mistly the employees are friendly and helpful.

Personally if I can afford it I prefer to shop at Safeway. It does run a little more expensive then other grocery stores, but for the crazy, stressful visits you pass up with the other stores by just laying a little more is worth it.

Safeway deli has the best meats and cheeses to choose from. Have them sliced thin and pile them high for your own lunches. I also get my bread fresh right from the bakery department. Dress up your favorite bread and grab something to drink.It is that easySo,give it a go,see and taste for yourself.

Floral department lead person was very knowledgeable and helpful. She helped me select the perfect Bouquet of flowers. Be prepared to wait at cashier for groceries though. Self checkout is the way to go here.

EXPIRED BABY FORMULA! I bought Enfamil Formula here for my 10 month old yesterday afternoon. I go to give my son his morning bottle and notice on the label that the formula was EXPIRED. I would highly suggest you triple check any and all baby products from this Safeway. Absolutely horrible and would hate for busy mamas to not realize they’re giving their child expired formula.

They have just about anything you need and then some. Safeway has always been my go to grocery store.

This Safeway located in Anderson is one of my favorites......... If you happen to get food stamps, which I do. You can go to the starbucks there and purchase a coffee to sip on while shopping and you can pay with your food stamps. Awesome but shopping at Safeway gets pricey so I dont recommend spending it all there cause your fridge will go bear pretty quickly.

I went just for a couple items but they are very good about requiring masking of everyone. They were busy but also quick about checking out customers. So I was able to get in and out quickly.

Probably the only big grocery store in the area. It was great to find the familiar Safeway to get all the groceries for our Mt Shasta visit. During COVID, there were precautions in place but not strictly enforced. There were still people pretty loose with the mask rule.

Good produce and bakery. The only problem I have is things not ringing up at the correct price. I had to wait over 5 minutes for help at the self check out register.

We have shopped at Safeway Anderson since we moved here 7 years ago.Sadly, we stopped because the management does nothing to follow the covid safety guidelines outlines on Safeways website.Most of the employees have their masks underneath their noses, which defeats wearing a mask. The customers dont mask or keep social distance.Theres signage up but its ignored.Since managment & employees care so little about covid spread in our community we notlonger shop there. We will probably not shop there after the pandemic has passed.Ts too bad, because my family have been loyal Safeway shoppers for 30 years.

During this time of our life dealing with the virus Safeway has keep us all supplied with the foods we eat and need. Their prices are being kept as reasonable as any and with the many coupons available you cant do better. Enjoy them...

Just picked up some chicken at the deli. Not impressed! We ordered the 8 count and two of the chicken legs were so tiny it was a joke. We didnt realize it til we got home and the kids asked for some. Weve gotten chicken here multiple times but never had any pieces like this. One thing I know, if we do get it again, I will check the bag before leaving the store! I have never seen any chicken legs this small! Let alone 2 in one bag. This was supposed to be dinner, good thing we picked up some chicken and broccoli rice as well because this definitely wouldnt be filling! 🤦

Am a loyal Safeway customer. All departments are great. Love the floral area always have what I need, good prices. Deli,meat,produce and bakery never disappoints. Very friendly and courteous staff

I have never had a worse experience then tonight. I had to wait 23 minutes plus+ ( yes i counted) at the deli to get lunch meat. There was only one girl there who apparently only made sandwiches. There was not a manager around to complain. This is my home store for which I shop 2 to 3 times a week. Looks like Holiday is my store for now on...

I have been a steady shopper at this Anderson Safeway for years. I myself got my first job here. One thing stays true to date; the price is worth the quality of goods and/or services. Their produce is unbeatable during the summer months. And, the meat department is a butcher shop. Ive never had a special request that could not be masterfully met. All around, my favorite place to shop in Shasta county. Special thanks to Dan Williams And Cindy up front. They go above and beyond in ensuring a satisfactory shopping experience.
