I left my number requesting notification on limited edition items specifically released only to small businesses to help revenues during Covid. I requested 2 to purchase. I was never notified. I called twice and was told they werent in yet and Id be notified. I was not.I later went in person to buy fandom-related items on a separate occasion and, while attempting to answer a question someone asked about the fandom, was interrupted by an employee bashing the fandom.... that I had gone to His store to patron because they sold the very fandom items he was bashing. Thats just poor salesmanship.Theres another gaming store a couple of miles further. Ill probably go there next time.

Love planet comics in Anderson. Helpful nice people. Calm atmosphere. Their always giving things that have been in the shelf for awhile to me with a discount because Im a frequent visitor. Lots for kids and adults

Huge selection of new/recent releases. Just not bagged or boarded. But the back issues, Of which there are many, are bagged, boarded and fairly priced. Also lots of silver age stuff which is hard to find some places. And the staff was cool and very helpful! I’ll drive from Helen, Ga to Anderson, S Carolina instead of Atlanta from now on just to go there!

Cards are extremely overpriced. An ETB retailing for 30-40 will easily cost you 90 here. The shining gates pikachu boxes were selling almost 4 times their retail price. I could understand if they didn’t have a distributor, but that is not the case. A lot of the workers are unfriendly or ignore females. I asked a question and was almost pushed away, my bf walked into the store after when I told him they wouldn’t give me an answer and the guy was great to them. These days I only go for funko pops. I can get a lot of stuff cheaper online or retail and idk what they expect to do with all that extra money product when they realize that our era everything is overprinted and won’t be as collectible in the future.

Came in to pick up a set of polyhedrals, and the young man behind the counter was more than helpful. Since I was in a comic shop, I also decided to pick up the latest Venom compendium, and again, the same employee was more than happy to assist me in my quest. Ill definitely be visting this shop more frequently, and when my son is old enough to read, Im buying visitors first comics at this fine establishment. I highly recommend making the trip out to Planet Comics to service your geek and nerd needs.

Huge selection of new comics, trade paper backs, hardcovers, omnibus, storage supplies, and comic book related items. I like their back stock comics and wall books but I wish they had even more to look through. It would be nice to get a discount when buying from them regularly (Im there every Wednesday during the school year) but its just nice to have a selection. I also take advantage of their Facebook store when I cant make it their on Wednesdays and Im always pleased with their shipping.Ive found the staff to be friendly, there is always plenty of parking, and the store is well-maintained. The Greenville location is nice as well but is smaller and a pain to drive to due to the location.

The place is fairly good, but why only 2 star? Because when I ask for a product behind the counter, they seemed annoyed. Once I was given the product, they walk away. I had to ask for a price for every product to a different employee. Ive work in communications for 7 years and this place needs to work on communications and interactions with their customers. I dont like leaving bad reviews on a place that I will be visiting often in the future, but I also give my solution. Instead of handing over the product and walk away, stay with that customer, ask questions, and get to know your customers. The more you know about your customers the better you can help what they are looking for. Hopefully this helps in the future. I know things dont change over night, but hopefully it slowly does.

Did an online order. They did not send the full order. They did not work to resolve the issue in a satisfactory way. They lied to me about the listing and then changed the listing after the fact to try and cover their mistakes. They were rude in my emails with them trying to fix the issue. Buyer Beware! I do not trust them. I do not think you should trust them either.

Shannon has completely changed my negative option of Planet Comics into a positive one! She and the other new staff are very friendly, helpful, and eager to engage in conversation about your hobbies. The store carries plenty of inventory, and the staff are generally willing to special order anything you ask for. I look forward to going back for events!Im only docking a star because its so cluttered in the store.

Recently got into reading comics so figured I would buy local and asked to pull two comics went to check if they came in and they did not have them. Ended up having to buy them online elsewhere. Not sure if they never came in or just never put them aside and sold them to someone else. Between that and the staff that seems to have no idea whats in the store its just better off to shop elsewhere.

Ordered an item through this company via Amazon. Product never shipped and seller never bothered to respond to my communication. Since this was out of print my guess was seller was waiting for the supply but it’s terrible customer service: I ordered a month ago . Staff threatened to report a crime to my sheriffs office if I do not ship back. I do not have item. This is not a way to conduct business.

Planet Comics is awesome! My daughter found a book shelf full of kid friendly comics that she poured through before making a decision. There is a large area in the back to play cards or board games. They had a ton of inventory to browse -- Magic cards, miniatures, comics, and board games galore. It was a great shop and I will definitely go back.

I love this shop! Its huge and clean. Well organized and heavily stocked with all kinds of comic and gaming goodness. They also have wonderfully convenient weekend hours for us third shift workers that have to wait until the weekend to do our comic book shopping. If youre a comic book reader going through Anderson, SC I highly recommend you check them out.

Went while on vacation visiting family. Nice people and a lot of stock. Very well laid out so it was quick and easy to navigate the store and find what I needed. They have a huge wall of current issues from a variety of publishers including many of those lesser known.

I recommend it I like it but I wish that they would have discounted things the prices are a bit up there I know its a comic book store Im a nerd I keep out a lot but I wish there would be deals

Guys was pretty rude. They didnt have prices for most of the stuff on shelves had to constantly ask like I was at a flea market. They had products out and said we couldnt buy them bc they arent out yet... while they are opened sitting on the shelf. And I didnt end up getting anything bc they couldnt break a 100.

My son has been going here for over a decade. He loves this place. Just dropped off his resume while picking up a free comic (and buying some others that arent free). Clean, friendly staff, helpful, host all types of gaming groups.

A great comic shop with an awesome variety of comics as well as action figures, role playing games, which people play at the back of the store. There is an area with friendly folks to play games and socialize. If there is anything that they dont have there, they will order it for you. Very well built store with a very friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Scalped prices on a tcg set still in print

Employees are not helpful or knowledgeableble about events or the products they sell. For example i ask about Ikoria and was told I dont know what that is check Facebook. Eveytime ive contacted them i have been told that they dont know check facebook for answers. Once i was told that Facebook would tell me and them they hung up on me. If Facebook has all the answers and employees do not know why have employees.

The employees here are phenomenal! My son has been going here for the Pokemon League for several years and it’s always a pleasant experience!

I’ve been in this store so many times shopping for high priced collectibles and I’ve NEVER been greeted at the door by any of the staff when I come in or when I leave. I’ve spent well over a $1000 on collectibles and still get ignored every time I’m in the store. They literally don’t value you as a customer unless they know you personally, which I can’t get to know any of them personally because they won’t give me the time of day when I’m in there. I even had an employee reprimand me for making sure that all of the accessories were in the box before I purchased a $300 collectible figure. I wish it wasn’t this way, as this is the only comic book store in town and I would really like to feel welcomed by the staff when I’m in there shopping. Please just be more mindful of your customers. Good customer service goes a long way, especially in getting someone who could potentially buy some of this over priced collectibles you guys have been sitting on for years.

Very cool place, with lots of options for gifts. Collectibles from comic, sci-fi and fantasy genres, trinkets (like a USS Enterprise bottle opener), books, comics, graphic novels and card/board games. Would recommend everybody visit to see what they offer.

One of the best comic shops Ive ever been in. Great variety, amazing selection, and fun staff. The comics are well organized, and there are numerous collectible statues as well as a section for board games. There is also a play area so you can hang out with friends and play your games together. Highly recommend!

I called to ask about some boardgames and they were very polite and happy to look stuff up and earn my business. I went and picked up an item they were holding for me and saw their nice comic selection. I highly recommend planet comics.

Never been to the store, but ordered from them online. 3 weeks later item had not shipped. Contacted and at least were quick to offer refund. Ordered item elsewhere and was shipped same day.

I love this place. Exceptional selection of statues. The rumors about the disorganization are true but they have such an amazing collection of hard to find statues that youll be impressed when you walk through the door. They even carry alot of stuff from sideshow collectibles. Go here you wont regret it.

Brought my kids here for a Pokemon league. I called ahead to get details on the tournament since we were driving from an hour away. When we got there, the tables were very wobbly. There were also a definite lean toward adult focused magazines, comics, and figurines. The staff did not seem interested in interacting, inventory was spread all over the place and it looked messy. When we got there and waited for the tourney to start, they told us there was not a tourney and it was just open play. I drove a long way based on what I was told on the phone. That paired with the adult themed organization, makes this a place I will probably not return to. I would say this is not appropriate for children based on the presence of so much adult-natured product.

Walked in this afternoon to get some yugioh cards. The ones me and my brother wanted were behind the counter and I could see them. I asked the gentleman if I could look at them he said he didnt mind and I got what I needed and left. I came back to get another one with my brother and the bigger lady with blue hair was real snappy with me and unnecessarily rude to us. She also kept giving us a dirty look like we didnt need to be in there. She was very unwelcoming and I will not be returning.

Planet Comics is one of my favorite places in Anderson. Its a great friendly environment with a variety of comics, graphic novels, and table top games to choose from, aswell as a large area of tables where you can sit down and read your comics or play a table top game with friends.

My son loves comics...Planet Comics has plenty of them...pretty large assortment of collectible stuff too...so, I suppose the next time my son wants comics, Planet is where well go...and i would recommend them IF I knew anybody else thats into this stuff...

I have been coming to this store ever since I was 8 or 9 years old. I’ve always loved coming in and looking at the new material. Lately, however, one of the ladies that works there is absolutely rude every time I’m in the store and yes she is bad enough to ruin the experience every time I see her in there. She makes rude comments. She complains when you ask for help. The only people I really care for in there is Scott and the red head girl. I will continue to go this girl is my only gripe about the store.

Its an ok place, best you can get in Anderson for this kinda stuff. But...... They are way overpriced on some stuff. Example I go in to buy board games, they will be 40-60$ above Amazon. I used to try and haggle them down a bit but they never budge.Now I dont expect them to match Amazon, and Im willing to pay a small premium to have my stuff the same day. I also understand they need to make money, but Im just not paying 40+ extra to have it today, I would pay about 20 over Amazon though.Sadly they would rather see you walk out than make a sell.
