Over an $850 order online that is supposed to be ready for pickup 2 hours after store open. Got here 4.5 hours after open and noone seemed to know what was going on with online orders, order wasnt pulled, and the guy at will call seemed clueless. Had to wait around for them to pull everything. If I didnt need my equipment so bad I would have canceled the order on the spot.

Wanting to spend a few hundred dollars in my town instead of ordering on line, BIG mistake!AIH employees the Shyest people I’ve ever seen. When you do talk to them you will wish you didn’t I’ll never go back and they even convinced me to ONLY shop online.

Such an amazing place,soo many options and soo many different things to purchase. Knick knacks all over the Flippin place,a million different screwdriver and drilling bits to choose from including security bits. A sweet end cap of high power magnets and tools and lights. I bought a portable work light which broke due to me not manufacturing defect or any ting ting like that and went back today and bought another but this time it was the same thing but LED and upgraded. The guy checking me out was very congenital and soft spoken.....like a baby lion roar.

Stayed open for me to grab safety equipment that I needed for the morning. Super service

These guys have no idea what theyre talking about. Took me several weeks to order a table saw when it should have taken 5 minutes to place the order. Their prices are INSANELY high and many items are online for hundreds of dollars cheaper with free shipping to Alaska! Only bought the saw from AIH as Grizzly was backlogged and I needed it in a hurry. Also spent almost $4,000 with them not knowing there was a loyalty rewards program, and was just told that they would not honor those points to my account. I am all for supporting local business but this has got to be one of the worst run in Alaska. They wont be getting another cent from me

AIH is a great place for getting tools and supplies. They will go out of their way to assist in any way possible. That is really rare in todays business climate.

A great place to go for professionals and amateurs alike. If you know what youre looking for they probably have it. If youre not quite sure they have the people that can try to help you find it. They have tools for you to work with clothes for you to wear and the supplies to clean up afterwards. In fact theyve got pretty much everything in between as well. Go there spend a little time and just walk up and down the aisles youll be amazed at what you find.

Went in to get a birthday gift for my best friend, and the staff was super helpful and kind. They made the process very easy. Ill probably never set foot back inside that store because I myself have no ise for industrial ware, but if I do, I know where to go.

They always have what I need to do my jobs, and being that they open at 7am is awesome in and out with no time wasting of the start of my day. And thats important to me. Good people at AIH and the products they carry always hold up.

My first time here. They dont have some items that the other AIH on Old Seward Hwy does. Good Employees. Its hard finding good knife sharpeners these days.

Alaskan Industrial Hardware is the place to go. I recommend the seward hwy location as its the largest branch. This resource has just about anything related to getting some business done. From wheels to hardware to truck boxes, construction gear. Which is what brought me here. The prices are amazing, purchased a set of thermal gloves that fit my needs perfectly. Two aisles worth of glove options. So if you in need of some tools, or cleaning products, have something to paint or just building some fun project you wont be disappointed. If you have ever visited a harborfreight in the lower 48 this is the higher quality version of that chain. Best prices with good reliable equipment go to Alaska Industrial. My new playground.

If you need brand name quality tools or specialty tools its the best place in town to shop for them and the prices arent bad. A lot of the time they have the better deal or a big sale on tools.

One of my favorite stores in Anchorage. Its got everything you need and nothing you dont. If youre the type of person that would rather get work done instead of wondering through a big box chain, check out AIH.

The new location is a lot easier to find stuff in. The Christmas specials/Black Friday specials, are my favorite time to shop here. I can always add some slick tool or gadget to my collection. I’m going to need a bigger shop.

They are always friendly and helpful, have a fine availability of tools, hardware, and safety gear, but are seldom that quick about checking you out when you find what you want or need. Still, it is always a positive experience when you shop here, if you arent specifically in a hurry.

AIH aaaah, the place I hate to love... there are certain things that you can get in AIH that you cant find anywhere else. Ill save you some time and gas if you happen to be looking for a 5 wire wheel for your bench grinder, some tiny 4 needle nose vice grips, some super specialized spray paint, or galvanized electric fence, AIH is pretty much the only place in town.Its not a good in and out type of store . Be ready to spend a little time and the price point on most items is a bit 📈💸🔭

Not the cheapest in town; but, there is always knowalabel people asking if u need help and they always have odd ball tools and parts the the 3 other major box hardware stores n Anchorage. AIH is is geared more towards the professional or advanced home DIYer; but, still a great place to shop and get information from sales associates who work or have worked n a job where professional tools are used. Only gave 4 stars because of their higher prices on items that are much cheaper at those 2 well known home improvement chains

If you need specialty tools and hardware in Alaska, AIH is about your only real choice.

It’s ok. Seems like some staff knows everything. Some knows nothing.Ordered several thousand dollars worth of heavy equipment during Black Friday sale. They would not honor the sale Jet was having so all my business went to Hardware Specialties. HS is family owned too so I’ll keep giving my business to them unless AIH starts caring about their customers.Oh yeah and teamsters discount? Barely noticeable. Come on!

I believe you get a personalized experience, when shopping at a smaller franchise. Versus big chain hardware stores where employees tend to treat you like you are bothering them. At AIH the customer service is superb! I shop at both the Kenai and Anchorage location. Kristiane Dambacher at the Kenai location was an employee that stood out to me, not only because of her welcoming and friendly demeanor, but also her willingness to go above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed. Even if she didn’t always have the answer, she would do everything in her power to find it for me, making me feel confident in my purchase, as well as, appreciated as a customer. This type of customer service seems to be scarce these days, AIH truly has some great employees! I’m always happy with my experience! :)
