This store is very clean and presentable. Also the workers/cashier was helpful and friendly. Forever customer.

This is a lovely store now compared to when it was located on the other side of the building. The cashier lady was very nice and polite. Produce looks amazing

Arrived at ~1pm on a Saturday and this location had a single check-out line (out of 7) open, with a line that extended well into the medicine aisle. Self-checkout of course had no one staffing it for the first 5 mins that I was there. Carrs appears to be yet another corporation trying to shift operating costs onto the customer by making people choose between waiting in line for 10m or checking out their own groceries, since that saves them from having to supply a cashier. This would be totally fine if every 5th item didnt fail to scan or lock the system up and prompt a Help is on the way!Spoiler alert, its not.If I was reading this Id think How petty do you have to be to complain about a grocery store? but trust me, its actually that bad. This location has consistently had the worst staff Ive seen in a grocery store in Anchorage. The cashiers are rude or apathetic. There are never enough check-out lanes to support the number of people shopping. Avoid this location if you can - Fred Meyers is right across the street!!Edit: Yeah, check out the owners response: Yeah, its understaffed lol, our bad B

Its a little hard to navigate in this store. It took me 10-15 minutes to locate one item. Aside from that, I found everything else I was looking for. Nice variety of cut fruit (watermelon, strawberries, cantaloupe and honeydew) 3 for $15 (over a # each).Some mixed in a container and some singular items of each above. They also carry the 6# logs of Freshpet (chicken and beef) dogfood. Located in a cooler near the pet supplies.Good security.

First time Ive ever been to a Carrs but I liked it. Nice variety of many foods and products. I really liked the bakery and deli. Sure the prices may be a bit more expensive than Walmart but I feel this store is more bearable than Walmart. Also, very good customer service at this store

It’s a nice bakery area. Well stocked, but it too, could be because it is brand new. I will have to change my rating if they are only good for the opening. But for now everything I have tried is good at this location, which isn’t much, as I’m new, to the new place.

Not very familiar with the layout so I was running around with my head cut off. Always like Carrs take a break from Fredys. I wish Carrs would bring back the cold fried fish patties that are in the deli those are delicious 😋! The little apples are bit spendy $8.99 when Walmart and Fredys are couple dollars less. Well Carrs is a bit spend but its oka. Happy shopping 🛍 ☺

The past like 10-15 times that Ive been to any of the Carrs in the Anchorage area, they have ripped me off by not giving the said discounts or by taxing me twice for the same product. Ranging from $1.00 - $15.00!Most of the time Im almost home when I catch the error and it would cost me time and gas to go back and prove my self right.

My family likes this Carrs and we consistently stop in even if shopping at Costco. This location is the newest and is very clean. I do believe the prices are different and this location is a little more spendy.

They have the best ramen noodles! It’s to die for. Go to the deli section, there should be a chef ready to take your order. It worth the wait. I just wish there’s a place to sit down but I don’t mind taking it out.

Layout of store is open and aisle names are unique to Alaska.Little lost on finding items. The staff that I did talk to was helpful. Unknown about bakery. I havent tried cakes made by this carrs yet.

This Carrs is very clean and modern looking which isnt surprising as it is one of the most recently remodeled locations around town. The employees here are generally easy to find and knowledgeable as well as friendly and they also have a good selection of items including gluten free and vegan options as well as fresh made sushi. Overall an excellent place to get your grocery shopping done.The only downside to the location is that due to the area, you may get asked for a cigarette or change in the parking lot. But even though it can be an inconvenience, most of the people asking are pretty harmless and will leave you along after saying no.

Clean and stocked unlike F.M.HIGH prices though. We stop there for items that are never on the shelves at other stores like coffee creamers but I would never do all my shopping here. Way to pricey for that.

The store is fine, but the grocery pick up service has been a mess. They seem to always have issues, whether its finding the right things, not being ready on time, or taking up to 30 minutes to bring out groceries from the time you say you are there.

Hard to get help from these people compared to some of the Carrs stores maybe it was the day I was there. The prices appeared to be a little bit higher than some of their other stores but then youre in a high rent neighborhood.

Well this store is much nicer than Gambell! I really hate that I have to use the app in store and scan every item I am buying to get the best prices! Its a real pain to have to manage the app at the same time you are at the store, or you have to do everything at home before you come to the store and then scan anything else that wasnt on your list. The scanner is slow on my phone and lighting can be an issue, not to mention reduced cell signal inside the store making it more frustrating!!!

This is a beautiful new store with ample parking and just about anything you may want in stocks.The reason for the 4 star review is due to the strange and shifting layout inside.

This was my first visit to the newest of the Carrs stores. It will probably be the last. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was very clean and well organized. The problem was with the contracted security. As I walked through the door the guard was so busy staring at me that he almost walked into me. He then proceeded to follow me around the entire store no more than four or five feet behind me. I spoke to the manager about this and was informed that that is not his job. I dont know if his following me has to do with the way he was staring at my legs or the fact that Im transgender. It had nothing to do with possible prevention of theft. As long as they contract with Security 88 I would advise not to shop at this location. I guarantee I wont.

Oaken Keg had the spirits I was looking for. Nice cashier, went to the non-alcoholic side for another purchase, said have a good one to the cashier, and he just mumbled under his breath: whatever.

I love this Carrs in Anchorage area so much so that I am willing to drive out of my way to go to it. My closest Carrs is the Abbott location but I have never been pleased with some of the staff there. The staff at the midtown mall location go up and above for me, always greet me, are patient with issues even when busy and under stress. The main staff members that I would like to have recognized is Tim (manager) Tom (bagger/cart pusher) and Offern (not sure his position). Tim is always so friendly, patient with issues, quick to solve problems, knowledgeable and never misses to say hi and/or bye. Tom also is friendly and always willing to go the extra mile with helping me with my groceries. Offern makes my day every time I see him with his kind words, hard work, and the safety of others especially at the entrance and parking lot because sometimes there’s some sketchy people hanging around. Keep up the great work! 🙂

This new Carrs location is really well done. Excellent produce, good selection, really helpful employees. If you stop in, ensure you check out the deli. Wonderful samosas, fresh made Ramen bowls and great stir fry. This is a great grocery store.

Good place to shop and no problems wear your mask

I had drop off a gender reveal card on a Tuesday and had put in the completed form and all to have it compete by Friday at 5pm. I even wrote the date on there to make sure. By Friday about 5pm I arrived there and my cake was not done. They had no manager in at that shift was what I was told. Very disappointing.

Store was absolutely clean employees were touch and go some responded to your needs and some just stood there like lawn gnomes. There were just one two many drunk unmasked vagrants wondering around for me. Love the store itself but I hope they dont let the Vagrants bring it down. But I must say not the worst Carrs Store in town.

Biggest Carrs you can ever imagine. The Ramen? Superb! But I hate they close early than the store itself...

For the location and quality of product its awesome. What is sad is the homeless population in the area. But its really clean. Cuz its new. The bathrooms are taken care of. The fruit selection is like new segya. Its good stuff. The deli is very good.
